Lane hears about Damien's 'death' in an S-rank dungeon/Forbidden Zone.
"No… He's one of the most powerful people I know. He was even able to survive fighting against me when I went on a rampage. He wouldn't die so easily…"
But, no matter how much he denies it, he is still anxious. He goes to look for Damien.
He flies/runs around in the air using Sky Step, and observes the surroundings with Mana Scan. As long as Damien was still alive, he would be able to notice him for sure. And if not… Lane didn't even want to entertain such a possibility.
Finally, after a long search, he spots the familiar Mana. He instantly descends. Damien is lying there, unconscious and wounded, and with his Mana mostly drained and wavelengths unstable… But he is still alive. Lane kneels down, and gently picking him up in his arms, he starts guiding and healing him at the same time.
Damien's lashes fluttered, his eyes slowly opening.
"…Lane?" he whispered with difficulty, his voice hoarse. "You… How…"
