Chapter 311 - Chapter 311 - A Ciri Far More Powerful Than the Other One.

[Chapter Size: 4100 Words.]

Third Person POV

Aretuza.

...

...

"Think about what I said... Tissaia." Madara said, walking toward the window of the highest tower, where the rector's chamber was located.

Tissaia said nothing and only watched him fly away from there, leaving Aretuza entirely. Or perhaps he did so only with his original body, because she knew he had left a clone behind.

However, Tissaia was not thinking about that, but about his words, about his proposal.

'Do you wish to create a better world, Tissaia? I want to do that, and I know you want the same.'

'One day, I will come to you in your greatest despair. Not that I wish this upon you, but as I presume, I will probably ask you the last question of your life...'

'You will choose between following me and helping me create a better world, or... ending your own life.'

There was no Madara left in that room, but his words left Tissaia with a heavy feeling. She did not know what that meant. She certainly had no desire to end her own life, even so, coming from him. She did not know how this would happen or if it would truly happen... But the question remained... What would happen then?

On the same day, at the Temple of Melitele.

Ciri was focused, trying to manipulate flames in one of her outstretched hands, while, little by little, a fireball began to manifest. It was small, but the heat was intense.

Ciri was immune to those flames; they could not harm their own creator, and a satisfied smile began to form on her lips. Footsteps began to move away—her teacher was feeling the heat, and it seemed dangerous for her.

"Very good. It's as strong as Triss's magic!" Yennefer's voice sounded beside her, proud, as she watched the girl manipulate the flames with a bare hand, using one of the first spells they had begun to train.

In another life, Ciri would have had difficulty performing magic and controlling her power, rendering her useless for much of her life. Before the training with the unicorn in another world, as in the original timeline, she would have been chaotic and dangerous to everyone around her. The Elder Blood would not distinguish allies from enemies; it would simply manifest amid the girl's emotions and could destroy everything, killing everyone if left uncontrolled.

But in this life, it was different. She might not have begun training her magic before arriving at Kaer Morhen, but her training had started at the castle, alongside witcher training, as well as swordsmanship and all kinds of lessons on how to deal with monsters. While most of her physical training was with the witchers, Ciri began her true training with Madara. He helped her begin to reach her share of power, releasing it in small amounts so she could grow accustomed to accessing it without losing control.

In another life, she would not know how to do this and would become completely uncontrolled. Something that even happened in the north of Kaedwen with that other Ciri, because she became too excited during a fight against Madara in an illusion and let the power take control, releasing it recklessly.

That other Ciri would have been tens of thousands of times worse, with no one able to contain her, unlike what Madara managed to do with this Ciri when she lost control.

In this world, she learned something at Kaer Morhen that the other Ciri had never learned in the other world: Madara made her grow accustomed to controlling her power by accessing it in small amounts, without letting it simply explode and burn everything around her. Magic became easy for her after that, unlike the other Ciri, as did the abilities related to the Elder Blood.

It was not difficult to awaken her first teleportation abilities while still at Kaer Morhen, allowing her to manipulate space and appear anywhere within a short range, but at extreme speed. That fragile little girl changed from that moment on—the same one who had once lived only behind Madara, with him protecting her all the time. Even though she had received decent sword training in Cintra, it had been meant for fighting humans, and she was incapable of facing most of the enemies that appeared after they escaped Cintra.

With that newfound strength, she began to become more than she used to be.

Then came other abilities, including the capacity to move from one point to another in an instant without using teleportation, doing so at extreme speed, leaving an emerald trail behind and reaching any enemy quickly as long as the distance was only a few meters. Even the witchers who trained her in swordsmanship had difficulty dealing with this ability during training sessions, and only Madara could restrain her with ease, since shinobi are naturally fast.

And Madara was far above an ordinary shinobi. He was more powerful than ninety-nine percent of those who existed in Naruto, even at that time, when he had only thirty-three percent of his system released.

Ciri also learned to master an ability of future sight, allowing her to see one second ahead. She began developing this ability from the moment Madara instructed her to release new powers when she left Cintra. This allowed her to anticipate any enemy attack, and she fully mastered it two years later.

Vesemir was literally shocked when she began to master all these abilities, and the training field became much harsher—a witcher of two hundred years teaching a little girl whom he began to classify as a monster with unlimited potential.

If it were not for his centuries of experience, he would have lost to a girl who was not even seventeen years old at the time. The old man questioned Madara afterward, with Ciri herself unable to fully explain those powers. Only Madara had any real knowledge of them and explained, seriously, how they worked, within what he knew, using the excuse of the Sharingan—which was not entirely wrong. After all, thanks to his Sharingan, he was able to help Ciri access her powers and grow accustomed to them by using genjutsu and entering her mind, instructing her directly.

At that time, he had still not revealed to anyone that he also knew the other Ciri. A Ciri covered in scars, filled with traumatic and near-death experiences. He already had an understanding of Ciri's powers through the original work. Even so, Madara still made this world's Ciri develop far more abilities than the other Ciri ever had.

That early training, which began when they arrived at Kaer Morhen, did not serve only to unlock her powers ahead of time, sparing her from great dangers and making her more prepared to deal with them. It was also meant to awaken new useful abilities, opening the path for her to begin casting spells like a sorceress—something the other Ciri could never do—and it also helped her further master her own powers on a much greater scale.

Despite having problems with her powers of clairvoyance, becoming an unstable source, Triss went to Kaer Morhen to train her and help stabilize it. Over time, Ciri learned to better control her visions, being able to see the future if she concentrated enough and, following one of Madara's ideas, also see the past.

Her investigative abilities became better than those of any witcher, as she could view any scene within a certain space and rewind time to visualize what had happened in a criminal or investigative situation.

Ciri had the potential to become better than any witcher who had ever existed, should she choose to follow the path of monster hunting. She only needed to look into the past and discover the culprit, whether human or monster.

But her powers did not end there. Madara also taught her a third original ability that the other Ciri did not possess with her Elder Blood: reversing time to use it as healing or even regeneration.

Ciri could use her Elder Blood in relation to time magic, in a manner similar to Madara's Mangekyō Sharingan abilities, which could reverse time on a specific space, person, or object.

She could now heal wounds by rewinding time to a point where they did not exist. Madara could rewind space itself and simply bring back a sorcerer who had teleported far away, or even reconstruct broken objects, as long as some part of them still existed.

She still could not alter the environment as Madara did, but he stated that she could work toward that—and she would.

The fourth ability Madara was teaching her was the creation of a dimensional space to store objects, much like the storage scrolls he used.

She was able to pull Zirael, her future sword, from the future itself—an ability she had developed on her own while she was out of control of her powers—but that was not the storage ability Madara was currently instructing her in.

But now, she was focused on something else. For the first time, she would truly follow the path of a sorceress. She had many spells; she could muffle an area against sound, teleport like a sorceress without needing to open a portal, nullify the chakra of her child's umbilical cord within her womb, among many other spells.

However, now she would train with Yennefer to become as versatile as any sorceress while she remained there, at the Temple of Melitele.

Obviously, she should follow the path like any sorceress in training. She could go to Aretuza and learn magic there like Isabella. However, she had no need for that, since Madara had given her about fifty percent of the knowledge of sorcerers he had acquired, implementing everything directly into the girl's mind.

While Ciri had received fifty percent of that knowledge, Madara had passed only five percent to the other girl, because Ciri was far stronger than Isabella could ever be. At that moment, Ciri possessed vast knowledge of magic, but she still lacked practice.

Thus, after a brief conversation between Madara and Yennefer, it was decided that the sorceress would help guide Ciri's path in magic while she stayed there, awaiting the birth of her child.

Yennefer had been accompanying Ciri for the past seven days since the beginning of the training. The girl trained constantly, and the sorceress was satisfied with her progress. She was demanding, determined to make Ciri a powerful sorceress, and she felt proud of the girl.

Her amazement at the magic Ciri was developing was evident. Without a doubt, Ciri would become the most powerful sorceress this world would ever witness.

Tissaia de Vries.

Vilgefortz de Roggeveen.

Artorius Vigo.

All of these names held the title of mage, a rank above sorcerers and sorceresses.

Yennefer was absolutely certain that Ciri would surpass all of them, reducing them to mere shadows of what she would become. Whether those mages or all who came before them, she would reach something no one else ever could.

'An eighteen-year-old girl, manipulating magic like a sorceress of five decades.'

Yennefer watched the flames dancing softly over the girl's palm, extremely hot—so much so that the sorceress had to step back to avoid being burned.

In just a few days, she had already made absurd progress. Yennefer knew about the "cheating" involved, the knowledge Ciri had received from other sorceresses, and even from herself and Triss through the instantaneous transfer of information into the girl's mind, done by Madara. Still, even being a shortcut, it did not make the path immediately easy.

'Well, she is suited to be nothing less than Madara's wife,' Yennefer thought to herself with satisfaction. That girl had no limits to her growth with her boundless potential.

She was already powerful with the sword, capable of facing practically any monster. She was already far stronger than Geralt, perhaps eight or ten times stronger than her 'father.'

If magic were added to that, Ciri would become unbeatable, losing only to her own husband. Who, in the entire continent, could deal with her true potential?

Yennefer also could not help thinking about the baby in Ciri's womb, slightly rounded, growing each day in an almost imperceptible way.

The real danger of the boy being born with Madara's energy, uncontrolled and harmful to Ciri's body, had already passed. Now, everything was under control, and the child would be born healthy.

Yennefer wondered what that little boy would be like, what he would become with parents so far from normal, capable of bringing the entire continent to its knees, even individually.

Madara could do that now, if he wished. Ciri had the potential to do the same in the future, even on her own.

The thought made her remember when, in the past, she herself had sought Madara, wanting to use his power for her own benefit. She wanted him as an ally, trying to manipulate him by becoming a sort of maternal figure to him.

But it became clear that she would achieve none of that. Madara was not someone who could be manipulated, nor seduced by carnal attraction or false affection. It was no wonder she had failed, and even Ciri's own powers had warned of that, just as Coral would fail when trying to seduce him into bed — it would never work. Coral saw this clearly at the wedding of Ciri and Madara.

The rising heat pulled Yennefer out of her reverie when she looked at Ciri in surprise, seeing her begin to expand the flames even more, watching the fire grow and grow, surpassing even Triss in fire magic. If Triss wanted to cast a spell more powerful than a simple flame, she would have to concentrate and recite long incantations.

But Ciri was doing it with just one hand, as the fireball continued to expand.

When Yennefer snapped out of her shock, the fireball was burning so high that it rose above the temple rooftops, and Yennefer immediately stepped back in alarm.

"Ciri, calm down. You're almost setting all the grass beneath you on fire! You can't control this yet, you're only just beginning. Cancel the spell before you lose control!" Yennefer warned in an urgent tone.

Ciri stood there with a satisfied smile, watching the flames grow larger and larger. She wanted to become stronger, wanted to match her husband's strength. She looked at those flames imagining she could cause as much destruction as he did with his fire jutsus, launching them like a dragon, spewing them from his mouth.

That was when she heard Yennefer.

"Hm?!" She noticed that the space above her was nothing but fire, and Yennefer was shouting at her from more than fifteen meters away, her expression full of concern.

Ciri had created a fireball more than five meters in diameter, burning like a sun. The grass around her began to smoke, threatening to ignite at any moment.

Ciri herself became frightened by it and quickly began to cancel the spell, the flames starting to dissipate in the air as the temperature around the temple began to drop.

Yennefer approached with a sigh. "I think that's enough for today. Ciri, you pushed yourself hard. Get some rest," Yennefer said.

"I'm sorry about that... I won't cast any more magic, but I'm not leaving yet. I want to train my swordsmanship," Ciri replied.

Seeing that the girl would not change her mind, Yennefer nodded. She was stubborn when she set her mind on something. "Just don't use any more magic, and definitely don't cast spells while I'm not around... As for swordsmanship, just don't push yourself too hard. You know you can't because of..." Yennefer finished, referring to the baby.

"I will take care of my child, Yennefer. Don't worry," Ciri said in a frustrated tone before falling silent. "I'm sorry," she added at the end. "I shouldn't have raised my voice."

"It's alright. I understand your bad mood because of the pregnancy, but be careful. I value respect, Ciri. Respect me as your mother," Yennefer said, opening a slight smile.

At that moment, Nenneke approached.

"I know you were training, but be careful not to burn anything! Those flames you created heated almost the entire courtyard and even the temple itself. I came as soon as I could when the temperature rose and saw you manipulating a gigantic fireball. Tell me this can't get out of control, can it?" Nenneke said with great concern.

"I'm sorry about that, Grandma. I got a little carried away. I promise to be more careful..." Ciri murmured, apologizing.

"It's alright, just be careful," Nenneke replied.

Nenneke walked away after that, leaving only Ciri and Yennefer there in the middle of the courtyard. They were in an area not used by the rest of the temple, meant only for Ciri's training, to which only Nenneke and a few other women had access, keeping secret the mysterious platinum-haired girl with immense magical power alongside a sorceress. Obviously, it was easy to know who Ciri was, which was why Nenneke made them promise not to say anything. She said that the goddess herself had great plans for Ciri, which convinced them quickly.

"I know you want to be strong, but be careful," Yennefer said, breaking the silence.

"I know… it's just that Madara is working so hard. I don't want to fall behind," Ciri admitted.

"Working so hard… you're dreaming about him, aren't you?" Yennefer asked.

Ciri nodded silently. "He's in Aretuza, just like he said he would be. I saw him meeting Isabella. He cured her. I saw it in my dream. The girl is so beautiful… but I don't like the way she looks at Madara. Even if what he did was good, I think I'm jealous..."

Yennefer raised an eyebrow, not at the insecurities of a lovestruck, pregnant teenager.

"He cured her?" Yennefer asked.

"Yes. I saw her lying on a table, while her back was open. Madara was aligning her entire spine, there was blood everywhere. From what I could hear him saying, that was it, while he was explaining everything to Tissaia, who was also in the room with him during Isabella's surgery," Ciri continued, noticing Yennefer's curiosity growing.

"She really changed. And Madara not only healed her, but also gave her the knowledge of sorceresses. He is pushing himself hard, training as well. Tissaia is helping Madara with some matters. He has been in Aretuza for seven days, training day and night without sleeping properly... I'm a little worried, and I miss him...", Ciri said in a somewhat tearful tone.

Yennefer listened with great curiosity, making a mental note that she would speak with Tissaia that very night through the magical telescope.

"Well, I'm going to take a bath. You should do the same. Just don't train too much," Yennefer said before leaving.

Ciri was left alone. She sat on the grass, then stood up and picked up a wooden sword, beginning to make small movements in the air, practicing her stances and working her footwork so she wouldn't grow rusty.

Magic gave her great abilities, it could even make her invincible, but she loved fighting with swords. She would never abandon that, no matter how many spells she learned.

So absorbed in her thoughts, she didn't even notice someone approaching. She only realized it when the presence came too close. Ciri turned quickly, pointing her sword.

"Who's there?" she said, surprised that someone had managed to get so close without her noticing.

But soon her sword fell, and her eyes shone. "Madara..." She opened a surprised and happy smile, but held herself back from running to him and embracing him.

"Hello, wife. I see you're training. May I join you?" Madara said calmly, holding a training sword in his hand.

Ciri's smile widened. She would save the embrace, any kiss, and any wild intimacy between them for later. She simply took her stance — that was the best way to greet her husband. Madara did the same.

In the next moment, both advanced toward each other, fighting intensely with their wooden swords. Madara used chakra to strengthen his training weapon, while Ciri used the power of the Elder Blood to reinforce the wood in her hands. The wooden pieces collided as if they were as hard as the toughest steel.

Ciri used teleportation and all her strength in physical combat, and Madara responded in kind, releasing the Sharingan and flooding his body with chakra.

That was how the couple had the strangest greeting in the world: trying to strike each other in a fight that no one in the entire continent could follow. Invisible to most eyes, they collided in a duel of extremely high speed.
