Dark Swamp
Jeremy struggled to stand up. Both the beasts were monstrous. It was hard to withstand their attacks with his physical body alone.
Buzz!
It wasn't only the needle-like mouthparts that were deadly; their body defenses were also strong. The buzzing sound from the insect beasts was causing dizziness.
One of the blood mosquitoes moved forward. Its needle-like mouthpart was aimed at his body. He tried to defend himself, moving the katana blade again.
Swoosh!
The flat side of the blade came into contact with the needle.
Boom!
He felt a huge, forceful impact. His body was thrown off again, flying backward before landing hard on the ground.
"Aaaahhh!"
A small, muffled grunt escaped from his mouth. He held the blade's handle in his left hand, then he pulled the handgun from its holster.
Buzz!
The two mosquitoes came once again. They were closer to him now. He felt a sense of crisis once more.
