"Is this your first time?" Cedric asked, his gaze fixed on her as she attended to his wound, completely focused. "It is my first." She answered. He was impressed at how she didn't flinch at the sight of the blood and did everything with steady arms
"The burns have healed but the cuts are very deep." She mentioned thinking that was the reason it wasn't healing. Cedric knew there was an abnormality. His entire body felt like he was going to collapse from pain but he hid it.
"We should start moving." He said. They started moving immediately after Abrielle was done. Cedric had to take Evelyn's horse while she chose to ride with Axel.
Their horses raced non-stop in the cold night, they had to cross the border before dawn, and luckily, Vesper shared a land border with a coastal kingdom. The position they had been teleported to was in the middle of a forest close to the kingdom.
It was a route rarely used to travel since the waterways were more accessible.
