"Please, lead the way," Katarina said, gesturing for Michael to go on first.
He obliged and started walking out of the lake's shore, treading down the wooden pathway before eventually reaching the border between the quadrants.
As soon as he stepped into the stone brick flooring, he heard the sounds of a lively market echoing out in front of him.
He ignored the peddlers and walked towards the center of New Sparta, towards Zovirru's Draconian Tower.
He walked ahead, while Katarina walked behind him, lagging just a few steps behind.
Her gaze pierced right through his skull.
She observed his every move, trying to figure out what made him so special that the professor deemed him worthy to become his one and only protege.
"I never knew that the professor was in a school," Michael said, trying to start a conversation. "He didn't tell me anything about it."
"It's not something we advertise," she replied.
