Chapter 113 - Chapter 28: Part 4

- Serafall -

"What is it, Ajuka?" She asked as she entered the room.

The last week had been extremely stressful for her. She hadn't had one moment of rest, always running from one place to another.

She was still annoyed at that bitch Katerea. If she hadn't died that day, Serafall herself might have sent her off with her own two hands.

The real problem came after that.

Everyone was busy trying to find the devil who had killed Katerea.

The Japanese supernatural factions had their pride hurt, especially when the last appearance of the Mysterious Lucifer had shaken the country not long ago.

Right now they wanted nothing more than to find them just to soothe their pride.

What they could do against someone like that was not something they had bothered to think about yet.

Until the Shinto Pantheon themselves got involved, there was no way any of them was strong enough to force someone who had basically one-shotted Katerea.

That kind of person was not someone to be provoked casually.

Unfortunately, that was also the cause of her troubles.

At this point, she really wished she had been there instead of whoever that boy was and could rip Katerea's head off once again.

She entered the room and looked around. Sirzechs, Falbium and Grayfia were in the room and Ajuka put a barrier around the room as soon as she entered.

"What is this all about?" She asked, suspicious.

Sirzechs looked nervous but was still the first one to speak. "It's all Ajuka's fault."

….

"What?" She deadpanned.

"The day when we were questioning your sisters about the Devil who fought Katerea Leviathan, your father was lying." Ajuka rolled his eyes at Sirzechs and looked at her.

"Excuse me?" She asked, confused.

"Now, Serafall, you need to be calm when you hear this." Sirzechs stood up and she noticed that Falbium had strengthened the barriers further.

"What exactly are you people talking about? What was father lying about?"

"He knew the unknown boy from the video, the singer. You were perhaps too concentrated on your sister to notice it but there were clear signs of him lying."

She didn't say anything and just started as he continued.

"So, I kept an eye on him, on the activities he did."

"You did what?!"

"I merely wanted to find out what he was hiding and get a clue about the boy's identity."

"The boy wasn't the target of the investigation. I asked about him and he had nothing to do with the faker." To be honest, she had actually forgotten about the faker completely. "Why would you even go after him?"

"Because when that boy appeared, your father whispered his name before it was even announced. He knew about the boy and was still hiding something when questioned. You did task me with investigating your double and this was related to that." Ajuka replied calmly.

That made her pause.

Why would father lie about something like that?

She quickly recalled everything about the day and the boy while Sirzechs continued.

"Now, Serafall, there is a slight chance that it might just be a false alarm so you need to calm down and not be impulsive." Sirzechs tried to talk.

Falbium strengthened the barriers again.

She had a bad premonition in her heart.

"What did you find?"

"The boy's name is Silas Evans. He is eighteen and a half years old, was raised by a human family with probably no knowledge of his heritage and your father had been keeping an eye on this child since birth through his contractor. The human family was related to one of his clients. And…"

"And…" She asked, hesitantly as the bad premonition in her heart became worse.

"There's a 98.3% chance that the boy called Silas, is the brother we all thought died in the attack eighteen and a half years ago."

She felt the world around her go white.

– Sirzechs –

"Dammit Ajuka, you could have slowly eased her in." He shouted as he strengthened the barrier with others.

Ajuka had teleported them out, barrier and all, as soon as Serafall's magic had flared to a place where they had already arranged a barrier to keep the damage controlled.

He knew this would end up like this.

The attack on the Sitri hospital eighteen years ago was still fresh on everyone's mind.

Lady Sitri's delivery was slightly dangerous and she needed to be carried out to the hospital.

They were unfortunately busy with their work and Serafall was out.

The Sitri hospital was attacked and more than half the staff was killed along with Serafall's newborn young brother. The entire place was vaporised in the attack.

Lord Sitri had barely been able to save his wife but not his newborn son.

It was done by some rebels. They had a mole inside the Sitri house and the hospitals. It was done by some people whom Serafall had fought against in the Civil War.

When Serafall had returned, she had gone on a rampage like none other.

Half the underworld had almost been frozen over as she hunted the rebels.

It had taken both Ajuka and him to safely contain her.

While they hadn't been able to completely connect the Old Satan faction to it, they hadn't kept quiet.

They had mocked and questioned the reliability of their rule mainly when they couldn't even protect their own family members.

The incident had been a massive wake up call for everyone.

Serafall had taken the incident the hardest because she blamed herself for the death of her brother and her actions with Sona were as if she was trying to overcompensate for the chance she missed with her little brother.

So, finding out that he might have been alive all this time and hidden away by none other than her own father of all people…

Yeah, it was a mess alright.

Lord Sitri was not going to have a good time.

It took her a long time to calm down and when she did, she just sat down quietly amidst the frozen wasteland inside the barrier.

Falbium created a barrier around them and removed the barrier trapping Serafall.

Suddenly, all the air in the surroundings rushed towards her, creating a cyclone and then an explosion surrounding her body.

It wasn't due to her rampaging again but rather the aftereffects of her previous attack. It had liquefied the very air, creating a vacuum inside the barrier so when the barrier was removed, the surrounding air rushed inside, creating a cyclone. This air then mixed with the liquid air and expanded violently causing an explosion.

This same move had once taken down an entire legion under the control of Beelzebub's son when he had tried to trap Serafall, and it killed him during the Civil War.

While it might not look like it due to her Magical Girl shenanigans, Serafall had the shortest temper among all the Satans and was the most vicious fighter among them during the Civil Wars followed by Grayfia.

It was also due to this that they were so worried about her reaction this time.

"Did you calm down?" Ajuka asked, taking the lead after seeing her sitting quietly.

"Where is he?" She asked.

"I don't know." Ajuka shook his head, explaining the whole thing to her.

"That girl… the one who looked like me… do you think she might also be…" Serafall asked, suddenly bringing a thought they hadn't even considered all this time.

"I can't say, although that seems unlikely. Your father had no reaction to her being mentioned." Ajuka explained.

"Do you think she was there for him?"

"It… might not be outside the range of possibilities. The only one who might have any idea is your father."

That made her pause.

"Do you think he might be in some danger?"

"Hmm… about that…" He tried to speak, thinking about how to disclose the fact that her estranged brother might actually be the same devil who froze Katerea into a popsicle.

"What is it now?"

"Remember that Mysterious Ice Devil who took down Katerea?"

"Yes."

"Well… it's just a guess but… he had black hair, blueish eyes, Water and Ice Magic… was a Chef, just like his adoptive father and… was called Sil…"

For the first time since the conversation began, she was so utterly flabbergasted that she even forgot to shout or get angry.

"But that's…"

"Yeah… it's surprising. The guy was also cosplaying as if just out of the Comiket so the timings match and Katerea also mistook him for a Sitri. Then there was the girl called Milim who talked to Sona and Rias, she made a comment that he had looked and smelled similar to Sona too. I even investigated and found that even their heights and general figures were similar. This is just too much of a coincidence, don't you think?"

"He is eighteen." Serafall argued, although at this point, she was more likely trying to question herself than anything else.

"Yes. He is. So he might not exactly be in danger but… with the copycat snooping around him and the sudden disappearance of all information about him… things might not be so simple. There is a chance that he hid everything himself, in which case, finding him is going to be hard. Last but not the least, it could also be… someone trying to take advantage of him and his powers."

"If she tries anything, I will kill her." She interrupted immediately.

"We don't have much information to go by. The only one who has that…"

"Is my father."

"Yes."

"Let's go."

"Hmm?"

"Let's go meet my father."

Author's Note:

I am back with another chapter of 'Isekai Restaurant'.

Oh boy, are things getting heated up.

Yup, we have two arcs coming up side by side.

I had to do some extra planning in both cases as well as got some irl issues so this chapter was a bit late.

Anyways, the next few chapters will come quicker.

I might do a poll on discord to decide if I should write another chapter of this one.

The relationship with Sakura was progressing slowly. On one hand it was necessary as she needed a lot of time to open up unlike other girls. But still, I think it's about time we went ahead with her arc.

Rin just had a very bad day.

Seriously, Shinji might actually be cursed or something… (heh!)

On the other side, Serafall is on a warpath.

Poor Lord Sitri is going to have a bad day next.

Last but not the least, the Soul Society Arc is finally coming up.

How would the Soul Society handle the rampage of not one but two Shounen Protagonists?

The next few chapters are going to be a lot of fun.

Enjoy the new chapter.

Good Day, Peace Out.
