Su Chen was carefully observing the situation through his stealth drone.
Now was definitely not the time to let his guard down. One wrong move and things could spiral out of control.
It was better to stay hidden for a while and monitor the situation. Rushing in now wouldn't be a wise move, no matter how you looked at it.
Fortunately, he still had his trusty 98K sniper rifle in hand—no challenge was too difficult with that.
That Hulk-like monster might look big and muscular, but it actually seemed kind of... slow and clumsy. Almost harmless—if you ignored the fact that a punch from that fist could probably flatten a grown man like a pancake.
Su Chen had always enjoyed watching American blockbusters, and the Hulk was a classic character—he showed up in tons of films and had become a household name over the years.
From the Avengers series to standalone Hulk movies, he'd made plenty of appearances.
If memory served, Hulk used to be a physicist who, due to a lab accident, turned into a big green rage monster.
Su Chen stared calmly at the scene before him, his heart unshaken. Neither of those two people out there were exactly saints—whether they lived or died depended on their own abilities. He had no intention of getting involved.
If he ended up getting injured, he'd be the one who suffered. The full range of abilities these mutated monsters had was still unknown, and charging in blindly would be plain stupid.
And Su Chen knew this perfectly well. That's why he hadn't moved an inch.
It wasn't because he was afraid of the Hulk-like creature—he just didn't see the point.
What would he gain by rushing in now? Was he supposed to save two complete strangers? Not happening.
In the real world, everyone prioritizes their own interests. Helping others comes second—if at all. Su Chen was no exception.
Especially in the RV World, where many survivors couldn't even guarantee their next meal. The harsh environment only magnified human nature.
"Better keep watching for now and act based on how things unfold."
Su Chen kept his eyes glued to the screen, watching the footage captured by the drone. He was especially curious about the so-called god-tier skills that could be earned by defeating mutated monsters. He wanted to try his luck—see if he could score something worthwhile.
The key point was the god-tier skill. That was what he really wanted.
If you thought Su Chen was considering saving people, you'd be dead wrong. That thought hadn't even crossed his mind. Helping others was never part of the plan.
At the moment, he was calm and calculating, focused on figuring out how to take down the Hulk-like monster—because this opponent wasn't going to be easy.
No panic. No nervousness. He and the punk with the Pompadour hairstyle were worlds apart.
---
The Hulk-like monster stomped forward, heavy footsteps shaking the ground.
No doubt about it—this was a heavyweight beast. Even the earth seemed to tremble with each step.
Pompadour Guy swallowed hard, a thousand curse words stuck in his throat.
"Holy sh*t—ahhh! Don't come any closer!"
He couldn't help but scream. But that only seemed to rouse the monster, which instantly picked up speed.
Now he was really panicking. He'd been so focused on unboxing loot crates that he'd completely forgotten about the warning of mutated creatures appearing soon. If he'd remembered, he would've gone back to the camper earlier. Wouldn't have stayed out here even for a second.
The boldest thing he'd ever done was probably that one fight back in middle school with a fat kid from the neighboring class—and that had been a one-time thing.
He'd never seen anything this intense. His mental resilience was practically nonexistent.
The scene in front of him scared him so badly he nearly wet himself. His body was nowhere near a match for the Hulk. Simply put, one punch would flatten him—no exaggeration.
What made things worse was the Hulk's expression—twisted and terrifying, like it wanted to eat him alive.
The cocky attitude he'd shown earlier while smacking around that delinquent girl vanished in an instant. Turned out, he was just a bully—tough on the weak, terrified of the strong.
"Aaaaah! Run! Run!"
And with that, he bolted, completely forgetting about his girlfriend.
Su Chen smirked as he watched the scene unfold.
He had been wondering whether Pompadour Guy would protect his girlfriend or run for his life. Now the answer was crystal clear—the guy was ditching her.
'Didn't expect to be that accurate. Nailed it in one guess.'
This kind of plot twist wouldn't be out of place in a cheesy drama.
The delinquent girl lay on the ground, battered and bruised, having been kicked and punched all over. She couldn't even move, let alone run.
But surprisingly, she didn't feel sad. Especially when she saw her cowardly boyfriend running away—she almost laughed.
She didn't even know why. Part of her wanted to curse at him.
"Damn it, turns out he's just a turtle hiding in his shell when it counts most!"
The Hulk gave a sinister grin and slowly walked toward her.
She wondered what she'd experience in the next few seconds—would she be stomped to death or just eaten alive?
Not that it mattered anymore. Either way, she was going to die.
The Hulk stopped in front of her without the slightest hesitation. One stomp, and blood splattered everywhere. The delinquent girl was turned into a pulp.
"Holy hell… that's brutal."
Even Su Chen, watching safely from his camper, was shocked. These mutated creatures had lost all traces of humanity. To them, people were just food.
"Ugh, I'm exhausted… it didn't follow me, right…?"
Pompadour Guy had sprinted with everything he had, glancing nervously behind him every few steps. All he wanted now was to survive.
But human stamina has its limits. Less than half an hour later, he collapsed from exhaustion.
He looked around—no sign of the Hulk. Only then did he relax a bit.
Too bad for him—the Hulk wasn't one to give up that easily. It was already on his trail.
"ROAAAR!!"
A furious howl came from behind. When its rage hit critical mass, its power and speed skyrocketed.
In a flash, it charged forward—faster than Pompadour Guy could react.
Before he could even get his bearings, the Hulk's massive fist came crashing down.
Just as expected, Pompadour Guy was done for. No chance of survival.
Su Chen felt a chill run down his spine.
These mutated monsters… they were terrifying. Killing someone in a single punch—this was beyond belief.
The second round was clearly much more intense than the first. And this Hulk-like monster? Insanely hard to deal with.
Those two people got themselves killed—and honestly, they had it coming.
Rv World had literally issued a warning about mutated beasts showing up, and they were still out there unboxing loot crates? And then started fighting each other?
Su Chen racked his brain and still couldn't understand—how did a guy like that even have a girlfriend? Meanwhile, a charming and thoughtful guy like him—still overlooked?
The Hulk wasn't done after killing two people. It was already scanning for its next target.
And now…
Su Chen noticed something strange. The direction the Hulk was heading… wasn't that where his camper was?
