Lance had just sat down in the dining room for breakfast when Elvin brought him some rather troubling news.
"The price of alcohol has fallen somewhat."
As Lance ate his bacon, he asked, "What's caused this?"
"Was there a relaxation of the prohibition?"
"Or something else?"
Elvin sat beside him, picking up a piece of bread and adding things to it, as he said, "Distilleries are starting up again, but they're not making alcohol for drinking; they're producing medical alcohol."
"But you know... as soon as the distilleries start up, there's bound to be some 'inferior alcohol' slipping out."
Lance paused for a moment, beginning to flip through a stack of newspapers beside the table. After a while, he turned and looked at Melo who was reading in the living room, "Where is today's 'International News'?"
Melo put down his book and stood up, "Isn't there any?" he asked, walking toward the door, "I thought I brought them all back."
