Ylthariel remained calm, though a slight smile tugged on her lips as she listened to what Kent was saying. From the onset, it was plain as day that what Kent was saying was bullshit.
There is no truth in it.
However, Ylthariel said nothing to show she was aware of his lies. She let him blabber for five minutes without stopping.
Even just saying 'ice is the core of water' shows he is utterly ignorant of what Ice really is. His cluelessness, in a way, is also admirable.
After all, Kent not only made it sound like he knew, but he also showed the seriousness and the expression that said he believed what he was saying.
He even pumped in some knowledge of things that, when translated differently, would make it seem as if he knew.
So she allowed him to finish, her expression never shifting beyond that faint, amused calm. Only when Kent finally went silent—clearly satisfied with his own explanation—did she exhale softly, a misty breath that crystallised the air between them.
