I turned to Jayden, my voice cold and detached, as if discussing the weather. "Officer Jayden..." I said, my tone mockingly casual, "I don't like these soldiers. Why don't you kill them all?"
The soldiers shifted uncomfortably, their fingers tightening around their rifles. Some of them swallowed hard, their faces pale, but none of them dared to move. They had seen Jayden's husband and daughter under my control. They knew resistance was futile.
Jayden's breath hitched, her body trembling. She looked at me, her eyes wide with horror, but she didn't dare to refuse. Not with Benito and Patricia's lives hanging in the balance.
Arturo, however, didn't hold back.
"Let me talk to your superiors!" he snarled, his voice raw with fury. "What kind of monster are you, making us all come here like this?!" His eyes burned into mine, his voice dripping with venom. "Jack... you messed with the wrong person." His fists clenched, his body trembling with rage. "You won't get out of here alive."
