Charlotte pointed the dagger against her own chest. "Madam Lydia. If you don't let me in, I'll stab myself."
Anger flashed across Lydia's eyes. "Charlotte, I don't give a damn about you. Do you actually think you can threaten me with your life?"
Charlotte stared intensely at Lydia and said, "Henry gave up his life for me. I know you absolutely despise me, so you probably wouldn't want me to die so easily. You won't even have anyone to vent your anger to whenever you remember Henry. If I'm alive, you can at least take it out on me!"
Lydia curled up her fingers.
Her son had lost his life for Charlotte.
If she let Charlotte die, his death would be in vain.
She clenched her teeth. "I'll let you see them."
Immediately after, a maid ran over to them hurriedly. "Madam, bad news! The girls jumped out of the window!"
...
Flora, Janice, and Octavia had jumped out of the window.
They wanted to escape and look for Charlotte.
