Realization dawned upon Charlotte.
Charlotte's head throbbed. Trying to stay calm, she chewed on the inside of her cheek, and the unhealed wound from before opened up again.
Tasting blood on her tongue, Charlotte mumbled, "Atzel, Henry trusts you with his life. Are you really going to do this?"
Atzel's tone changed. "I have let Mr. Stevens down."
"So you do feel remorseful! If you let me go now, I'll let this slide, and I'll help you talk to Henry. How does that sound?"
Atzel laughed bitterly. "Ms. Johnson, it's too late for that now. Don't try to change my mind. I'm truly sorry to Mr. Stevens, but I won't untie you. I will answer to him myself."
"Atzel! Must you side with Caesar? He's a complete and utter psycho!"
"God might be a psycho, but Ms. Johnson, have you ever wondered why he has so many followers?"
