Naruto eyed Kakuzu and his merged creature with a vigilant demeanour while his mind was experiencing a whirlwind of thoughts.
Was this the way Kakuzu used to survive all this time? To harvest organs from his opponent or whoever, when his own starts to fail. Not only that, but he also seemed to harvest another four hearts to make those creatures.
Do these creatures have other organs other than hearts?
That is a thought for another time. Right now, Naruto needs to turn Kakuzu to bits or completely destroy his body so the creatures couldn't revive him again.
Or Naruto will be forced to kill Kakuzu, another four times if he didn't take out those creatures first.
'Wait a second, where is the fourth creature?' Naruto thought with alarm as he forgot the creature with the deep blue coloured mask when he was occupied with the absurd circumstances he had just witnessed.
Just then, Naruto's senses went haywire, screaming at him of impending danger and urging him to lean left as soon as possible. Naruto completely trusts his senses, leaning to the left as fast as he could before intending to jump. That wasn't entirely enough as Naruto's right cheek was nicked, drawing out blood before he jumped to the side and away.
"Oy Kakuzu." Naruto's eyes widened with disbelief at the absurdity of who he had just seen speak.
"How long were you intending to leave me lying there, you bastard? And why are you naked?"
"I didn't hear you complaining, Hidan. I thought you liked lying on the sand by how quiet you were." Kakuzu said sarcastically while intentionally avoiding the topic of his current lack of clothing.
"I couldn't even talk to you, bastard. My face was buried in the sand, and the moment I opened my mouth, it got filled with sand. Hell, I am sure that there is still some sand in my mouth from how dry and dusty it feels." Hidan complained
Naruto was in a state of complete disbelief at the absurd situation he was looking at.
The scythe user that he had decapitated earlier was now standing in front of Naruto as if nothing had happened, with the creature with the deep blue coloured mask standing next to him. The man that Naruto assumed was dead and completely written off, only for him to be still alive.
Naruto could see that Hidan's head was reattached to his body by the grey tendrils. At first, he assumed that the creature with the deep blue coloured mask revived him somehow. But from the conversation between Kakuzu and Hidan, he found out that Hidan never died, only was forced to go quiet due to his face being buried in the sand. The creature only reattached Hidan's head to his body, and Hidan was up and moving as if nothing had happened.
"Surprised, aren't you?" Hidan said as he looked at Naruto with a nasty smirk on his face.
Naruto looked at Hidan carefully, trying to find out what he was. Now that the straw hat was gone, Hidan's features were visible. He had medium-length grey hair and deep purple eyes. But what stood out the most was the feeling of insanity, bloodthirst, and all-around unhinged feeling that Hidan emitted. He still carried his triple-bladed Scythe, but now he also carried some sort of a wide, short blade that had some blood on its tip from the small cut on Naruto's cheek that already healed.
"You can't kill me. I am blessed by Lord Jashin, and nothing you can do will kill me." Hidan announced with a slightly unhinged tone and smile.
"But you decapitating me had caused me a lot of pain that I intend to return to you," Hidan said with a threatening tone with his smile becoming more unsettling.
Naruto looked carefully at Hidan, looking for a sign of impending attack, only to see Hidan jump on the almost flat foundation of one of Kakuzu's crumbled earth walls.
And there, Jidan took out a long, thin spear from the handle of his scythe before proceeding to stab himself in the abdomen with it. Naruto's expression was appalled and speechless as he looked at Hidan, who was smiling while making his own body bleed on the remnants of the earth wall beneath him. A moment later, Hidan pulled out the spear from his abdomen and looked at the small blood bubble between his feet.
With his own blood, Hidan used his feet to draw a triangle within a circle on the ground before pulling the short blade that held Naruto's blood to his mouth.
"Let's begin," Hidan said with a disturbing smile as he stood in the middle of what he had drawn before licking the blood from his short blade.
The effects were instantaneous; not only did Naruto feel a shiver, also completely weirded out seeing someone so unhinged like his blood, but Hidan's skin had fully turned black, with some places painted white and looking like an exposed skeletal system of a human.
Naruto had no idea what was going on, so he kept his distance, trying to find out what was happening with Hidan and what he was intending to do.
"I am going to enjoy this very much." Hidan chuckled darkly as he held up his spear once more.
"Hidan, don't kill him. You know what will happen if you do." Kakuzu warned as he donned the cloak that he had discarded earlier. One of the masked creatures fetched it to him as he didn't intend to stay naked any longer.
"I know you bastard, don't ruin my mood," Hidan snapped at Kakuzu before looking back at Naruto while muttering under his breath about him being unable to satisfy Jashin by being denied sacrificing Naruto.
Hidan then smiled savagely again before stabbing the spear right into his right thigh. Naruto was confused by what he was seeing.
'Why is Kakuzu warning him about not killing me? If anything, he is harming…..' Naruto's line of thought was interrupted when he felt pain shoot up from his right leg. He looked down at his right leg, only to be horrified at what he saw.
"What?" Naruto muttered quietly, his voice filled with confusion and slight pain as he saw his right thigh bleeding through his pants without the pants being pierced anywhere.
