"It is good to see you safe and sound, Hokage-sama." Kakashi said with a bow after the Kumo brothers left.
"I appreciate that, Kakashi-kun. Your and Guy's stay in Kumo has come to an end. I relieve you of your duty. Both of you can return to Konoha as soon as possible." Hiruzen said, to which Kakashi and Guy nodded.
"What, Why? Won't they watch us in the finals?" Anko said confused
"Even though the Raikage was subtle about it, he practically said that our count is too many to be welcomed to stay in Kumo. We are in no way near being on friendly terms with Kumo. So, having a Kage, two S-rank, and two A-rank shinobi in a foreign unallied village during something like the Chunin exams is just looking for trouble." Jiraya explained
"It is ok, Anko. Even though it is regrettable that I won't be able to see my youthful student in the final, I know full well that he would perform extremely well." Guy said with a wide grin
"Thank you for getting us all the way here, and I hope you both have safe travels." Naruto said to Kakashi and Guy with a thankful smile on his face.
"You're welcome." Kakashi said simply before disappearing in a body flicker to the inn to gather his things.
"Think nothing of it, Naruto-kun. Best of luck on the finals, my Youthful student." Guy said before following Kakashi.
"Shall we?" Hiruzen said, walking into Kumo.
Two Hours later, in a large room in the inn designated for Hiruzen;
The Konoha group got rooms for the newly arriving Hokage and his two escorts after having a meal at a barbecue that Naruto recommended.
After they went to the inn and got the new rooms, Hiruzen told Naruto and Anko to come to his room to brief him on what had happened since they left Konoha. Jiraiya and Tsunade accompanied them into the room.
As soon as the door closed with them inside the room, Tsunade pulled Naruto into a deep hug. She kept herself restrained outside, not to give any ideas to anyone from Kumo.
"How are you, Naruto? Did anything happen?" Tsunade said with a concerned tone as she held Naruto close to her while checking him all over to see if there was something wrong.
"I am fine, Mum. I missed you, too." Naruto said with a bright smile
Seeing that everything was fine with Naruto, Tsunade returned the smile and hugged him closer before saying, "I missed you too, Naru. Let us sit so you can tell me and Sensei what happened with you."
"Hehe. Mama's boy." Jiraiya said jokingly, seeing how Tsunade is fussing over Naruto, while the boy welcomed it without being embarrassed.
Tsunade gave him a pointed look as she said: "What was that, Jiraiya?"
"Nothing." Jiraiya replied quickly
"I thought so." Tsunade replied before returning her focus to Naruto.
"Ero sennin, where were you?" Naruto suddenly asked, looking at Jirayia
"Don't call me that, brat. And what do you mean?" Jiraiya asked slightly confused
"Don't play dumb with me. Where were you when that attack happened, and why haven't I seen you till now?" Naruto's voice snapped slightly, making the expressions of those around him soften, except Anko, who looked confused.
"I am sorry, kid." Jiraiya said with a low, sad voice full of grief before continuing: "When the attack happened, I was undercover on a mission. I learned about the attack a few days later when Sensei sent a message through my summons telling me what happened, and also told me to keep an eye out for all the other Villages' movements. I haven't set foot in the village till now."
When Jiraiya learned about what happened, he was extremely devastated. Minato was not only his student but also someone very close to him, who could even be considered a son. To learn that Minato died along with Kushina, and He couldn't help or even attend the funeral, was gut-wrenching to him. He hasn't even met their child yet.
"Just make sure to visit." Naruto said simply, he knows how out of contact a Shinobi can be on missions.
"I will, don't worry. I have a goddaughter to meet." Jiraiya said with a small smile, intending to visit his student's grave and almost one-year-old daughter.
Naruto turned to Tsunade and asked: "How is Mito? Who did you leave her with?"
"Don't worry, Naru. I left her with Shizune to take care of her. If something happens, she can tell me through Katsuyu." Tsunade said. In no way was she going to bring the little baby with her to Kumo.
"The little cutie is starting to try to talk and walk." Tsunade said with a proud smile
"With that done. How about you tell me about your journey since you left home?" Tsunade said, giving her son her full attention
Naruto smiled before he began to talk about everything that had happened since he left Konoha until this point in time.
The chatting continued until before midnight, when Naruto and a slightly blushing Anko got up before saying goodnight to the others and walked out of the room.
A smirking Jiraiya was about to comment to Tsunade about something Naruto said as the door closed, but he swallowed his words, seeing the dramatic change on Tsunade's face.
The three could hear Anko arguing with Naruto outside the door as the two walked away.
"Why did you tell your mum about what happened after the first phase? She looked ready to kill me." Anko said with an embarrassed tone
"What are you talking about? Mum looked normal to me, and it was fun talking about your embarrassing moments." Naruto said with a chuckle
"Your mum sees something else, you idiot." Anko replied heatedly as their voices disappeared.
Tsunade gritted her teeth in fury before muttering: "Those hussies."
"Calm down, Tsunade." Hiruzen said softly
"What do you mean by calm down? Didn't you hear what he talked about? That snake girl told him that whoever marries him will be a lucky girl. Is she saying that she or some girl will take my baby boy from me? That is never going to happen." Tsunade said angrily.
"My little boy is too sweet and gentle for his own good. I know I raised him to be a gentle man, but now he is unknowingly attracting girls. I can't let some girl come and take him from me." Tsunade said with her hands clenching.
"The boy is popular with the ladies, Tsunade. Don't you want him to marry a nice girl and give you grandkids?" Jiraiya said with a teasing smirk while wiggling his eyebrows
"Keep your mouth shut, pervert, or I am going to turn your bones to dust." Tsunade snarled at Jirayia, making his face pale.
Tsunade took a calming breath before saying softly: "Grandbabies sound nice."
The next moment, her face hardened, and said: "But my boy is almost nine years old, too early to even think of that and I am also too young to think of being a grandmother. I will not have some hussy come and steal my baby boy from me."
Hiruzen and Jiraiya looked at each other, perplexed, before letting out a sigh as Tsunade continued ranting about girls trying to take her son and how her son, unknowingly, flirted with three Kumo hussies.
It is hard sometimes to try and figure out what women think of.
