Chapter 311 - Chapter 311: Kryptonian Research

When Shin arrived in this world full of superheroes, he had no intention of becoming a hero himself. What truly interested him were the technologies, treasures, and unique bloodlines hidden within this world.

And in a world like this, most of those rare resources were either in the hands of superheroes or supervillains.

Superheroes, bound by their morals and principles, were difficult to exploit. Shin wasn't about to go around harassing them for their secrets, nor did he want to play the role of a villain just to get what he wanted.

Take General Zod's body, for example. It wasn't that Shin didn't want it—it was that there was no realistic way for him to obtain it.

Despite Superman and Diana considering him a friend after the Doomsday incident if he even hinted at wanting Zod's corpse, they'd beat him into the ground without hesitation. So he never even brought it up.

In the end, Superman launched Zod's body into the sun.

And no matter how much Shin wanted it, he wasn't about to dive into the sun to retrieve it. He had no interest in becoming a pile of cosmic ash.

However, just because he couldn't get Kryptonian cells from Superman didn't mean all hope was lost.

If there was one person in this world who definitely had preserved Kryptonian genetic material, it was Luthor.

Sure, this world's Luthor wasn't bald, but as long as he still carried the name "Luthor" and had his eternal rivalry with Superman, there was no way he hadn't stockpiled Kryptonian samples.

When dealing with supervillains, Shin wasn't nearly as polite.

With a flicker of his Rinnegan, he dominated Luthor's mind, forcing him to spill every secret he had.

Kryptonite reserves, Kryptonian technology, and most importantly, Kryptonian biological samples.

Luthor gave up everything.

Once Shin had the information he needed, he casually altered Luthor's memories, making him believe this had been just another routine government interrogation.

Then, without a sound, Shin vanished from the prison.

"As expected of Luthor," Shin muttered as he activated the underground lab's power systems.

The dimly lit facility flickered to life. He stood in a highly ventilated, heavily fortified underground bunker—one designed to withstand even nuclear attacks.

Not only was it lined with layers of reinforced steel, but an additional coating of lead surrounded the structure, specifically to block Superman's X-ray vision.

The security was so tight that only Luthor himself could access the facility. The entire system was locked behind fingerprint scans and retinal identification, making infiltration nearly impossible.

But none of that mattered to Shin.

At the heart of the lab, a large crystal-like computer pulsed with light, processing streams of data.

Shin narrowed his eyes.

"This wasn't made using Earth technology… was it taken from the Kryptonian ship? Or reverse-engineered?"

How could he tell?

Simple.

Because Earth's technology doesn't produce computers made entirely of crystal.

Unlike standard computers with screens and hardware, this thing was a massive, transparent crystal, its surface flashing with alien symbols and data streams.

Even though Shin possessed an advanced biochip in his brain, hacking this Kryptonian-level system was beyond his capabilities.

But that was fine. Shin already had another method.

With a faint glow, a strange soul energy radiated from his hand as he touched the crystal computer. The crystal shuddered.

A moment later, eyes and a mouth sprouted from its surface, making it look like something straight out of a cartoon.

Yes, Shin couldn't hack the system. But he could simply bring it to life as a Homie—and have it tell him everything.

"Master! Master!"

Shin smirked. "You can call yourself Crystal."

Hearing this half-hearted name, the crystal beamed. "I have a name! My name is Crystal! My name is Crystal!"

"Good. Now show me all the data Luthor stored in you."

"Right away, Master Shin!"

Without hesitation, Crystal projected a series of holographic screens, each filled with vast amounts of scientific information.

Shin's Rinnegan spun as he quickly memorized the endless stream of data, transferring it into his biochip for future research.

The data transfer took half an hour to complete.

Even though Shin was knowledgeable in biological sciences, his main priority now was simply storing the data—actual research would come later.

Right now, he had something far more urgent to handle.

"Crystal, open Freezer Warehouse No. 13."

"Understood, Master!"

With a low mechanical hum, a seamless steel wall split apart, revealing the hidden chamber.

Shin stepped inside without hesitation.

"As expected," he murmured, scanning the rows of transparent containers.

Each one held Kryptonian biological samples—blood, bone marrow, brain tissue, and various other organ samples.

Medical tools lined the walls, including scalpels infused with Kryptonite and advanced surgical instruments.

"A Kryptonite scalpel… Luthor sure has an impressive Kryptonite stash."

With a flick of his hand, black mist swirled around the room, absorbing every last sample, tool, and piece of data.

Then, he absorbed Crystal into his dark dimension before disappearing from the lab entirely.

Months Later…

"Sure enough… it's incredibly difficult to integrate Kryptonian DNA."

Shin sighed, halting his latest experiment.

Even though he had obtained Kryptonian genes, they refused to stabilize within his body. Each time he attempted a transformation, his conflicting abilities nearly tore him apart.

He exhaled slowly and reverted his body, once again removing the Kryptonian blood.

His own genetic structure was already too complex.

Shin carried three distinct bloodlines—Otsutsuki DNA, his original ninja physique, and the genetically enhanced modifications from the pirate world.

His pirate-world bloodline had been enhanced through Devil Fruits and biomodifications, allowing his body to reach absolute peak perfection by that world's standards.

His shinobi-world bloodline was Otsutsuki-based, making him far stronger than an average ninja.

He had even synthesized a complete Otsutsuki bloodline, surpassing the typical Otsutsuki in terms of power and adaptability.

But now… Adding Kryptonian DNA into the mix?

That was proving to be a whole different challenge.
