"Wanda, I have a Green Lantern ring. I can create a sub-ring for you to control your magic, but you must think carefully. Once you choose this path, you will be stepping away from mortal life; you will become a god." Han Yu said solemnly. In his past memories, the Scarlet Witch Wanda from the comics struggled to fully control her abilities.
If she couldn't rein them in, even fleeting thoughts could have irreparable consequences on the universe! So if Wanda chose this path and gained the power to alter the universe, no matter how low-key she tried to be, she could never truly be considered a mortal again.
Han Yu possessed the Immortal Sigil, which allowed his mental strength to surpass even that of Odin. As long as Chaos Magic didn't actively resist him with all its might, suppressing it wouldn't be a problem.
Wanda hesitated for a brief moment before nodding with a smile, whispering, "I choose to awaken my abilities. And I think you let us stay here because of my abilities, right? If I don't awaken them, it would disappoint you."
Han Yu chuckled awkwardly, realizing his intentions had been seen through. "Haha, that's just one of the reasons. If you didn't want to awaken your abilities, I would still treat you the same way. I'm not forcing you. Don't push yourself."
"I'm not pushing myself. I want to become stronger so I can protect and help the people I care about." As she spoke, Wanda couldn't help but glance at Han Yu, as if he was one of the people she referred to.
Han Yu smiled and nodded, his Green Lantern ring glowing with emerald light. Streams of verdant energy emerged and flowed towards Wanda's hand. Wanda quickly raised her hand, and the green energy condensed into a ring on her right middle finger, similar to Han Yu's but more translucent and visually appealing.
"Inject your magic into it, and I'll try to establish a mental connection," Han Yu instructed.
With her free hand, Wanda summoned scarlet energy, which she manipulated towards the ring. The moment Chaos Magic touched the Green Lantern ring, Han Yu felt a tremendous repulsive force, as if Chaos Magic was resisting entering the ring.
"Go in," Han Yu said with a cold snort. It had already reached the ring; there was no turning back now.
Suddenly, the Green Lantern ring erupted with brilliant green light, instantly engulfing the Chaos Magic. Han Yu immediately manipulated his mind, causing the immense Green Lantern energy within the ring to press down on the Chaos Magic. Compared to the Green Lantern energy, Chaos Magic seemed like a tiny, trembling kitten hiding in a corner.
The Green Lantern energy completely merged with the Chaos energy, transforming Wanda's ring from a crystalline green to a crystalline red—the Green Lantern Ring: Chaos Form.
"Alright, try sensing it again. You should now have a clearer perception of your Chaos Magic," Han Yu said.
"Wow, I really do! I can feel a clear force flowing through my body, and I can control it!" Wanda immediately felt the difference. If before she had only barely scratched the surface of controlling Chaos Magic, now she had entered a whole new level.
Seeing Wanda's delight, Han Yu smiled with satisfaction. Her ability to manipulate Chaos Magic would be a significant asset to him. "Good, head back to your room and get some rest."
Wanda nodded vigorously, turned to leave, but then suddenly remembered something and came back. She lightly pecked Han Yu's cheek on his bewildered face before grinning and leaving the room.
As the door closed firmly behind Wanda's footsteps descending the stairs, Han Yu's expression abruptly changed, and he knelt down, beads of sweat rolling down his forehead.
"This Chaos Magic is indeed formidable, worthy of being a superpower that influences the entire Marvel Universe. It's still struggling."
Han Yu gazed at his Green Lantern ring, where a faint trace of red could be discerned within the central gem. As mentioned earlier, the instability of Chaos Magic would first be borne by the holder of the mother ring. If the holder could not withstand it, the backlash would be equally transmitted to the owner of the sub-ring.
Han Yu now felt Chaos Magic like a raging lion, constantly bashing against its cage, desperate to escape.
"Fortunately, this magic is still raw. If it were to hide and gradually grow stronger, I might not be able to contain it in the future!" Han Yu muttered, sitting cross-legged on the floor and utilizing his mental strength, which surpassed that of the celestial father Odin, along with the Green Lantern energy, to move towards the Chaos Magic within the ring.
Wanda had only recently acquired Chaos Magic, which, though powerful, was still but an infant. Even at its strongest, it was merely louder in its cries.
After half an hour, Han Yu ensured that Chaos Magic was thoroughly suppressed, leaving no trace behind, before climbing into bed to sleep.
During the night, Han Yu's Green Lantern ring flickered with a burst of red light, about to break free from the ring, only to be immediately overwhelmed by an even stronger green light, gradually returning to normal.
The next morning, Han Yu yawned as he woke up, washed up, and was about to prepare breakfast when he noticed the kitchen door already open, with a figure bustling inside.
Upon closer inspection, Han Yu saw that it was Wanda. Today, she wore a white T-shirt and short jeans, her long, shapely legs drawing attention, as she donned an apron and cooked.
"Why not sleep more? I could have made breakfast," Han Yu said.
Wanda, fiddling with something in her hands, replied, "Good morning. I couldn't sleep and woke up early, so I thought I'd make breakfast. Take a seat; it'll be ready soon."
Watching Wanda bustle around, Han Yu felt a sense of being touched. He had been alone for so long since arriving in the Marvel world. This feeling now was quite pleasant, much better than wielding power outside.
"I'm not busy, let me help you!" Han Yu stepped forward, offering to assist. He had kitchen experience and, without waiting for Wanda's response, began moving in sync with her.
Wanda looked at the man standing beside her, her lips curving into a gentle smile, her eyes softening with warmth.
The two of them worked silently but in harmony, preparing breakfast. It was only after ten minutes, as they emerged from the kitchen laughing and chatting, that they noticed Quicksilver, his hair a mess, slowly emerging from his room.
Seeing Han Yu and Wanda together with breakfast, Quicksilver was a bit surprised. "You two are up early?"
"It's just you who can sleep all day. Hurry up and get ready for breakfast!" Wanda rolled her eyes at her brother, exasperated that he hadn't offered to help more and had only been sleeping.
Breakfast passed pleasantly, with the three of them deepening their bond through conversation.
Han Yu and Wanda explained the unique nature of their general store, capable of traversing countless worlds, warning them, "Once you're on my ship, there's no turning back."
However, Wanda and Quicksilver were not particularly concerned about this. Especially Quicksilver, who was most intrigued by the prospect of traveling to other worlds. He immediately sat next to Han Yu.
"Han, you have to take me next time. I really want to see what other worlds are like," Quicksilver exclaimed excitedly.
Even Wanda joined in, crowding around Han Yu. "Me too! I want to go too!"
Looking at their curious faces, Han Yu couldn't help but sigh inwardly. Without the war, they would be entering high school or university, naturally fascinated by such things that young people couldn't resist.
"Sure, I'll take you when I have the chance..." Han Yu smiled, about to share more anecdotes about other worlds, when his expression suddenly changed, becoming much more serious.
The mental avatar he had placed on Whitebeard had sent him a message. Whitebeard was severely injured, and Ace was dying!
"What's wrong, Han?" Wanda asked, noticing the change in his expression.
After a moment of silence, Han Yu said, "It seems we don't have to wait for next time. We can leave now."
"Now?"
"Yes, now. Let's go!"
