Chapter 16 - Chapter 16: A Blast from the Past

Han Yu spoke earnestly, "It's good that you haven't told too many people. It's best to keep this to yourself. Too many people knowing about it could put you and your loved ones in danger."

Peter Parker was startled by his serious demeanor and nodded vigorously in agreement. To lighten the mood, Peter began to chatter again, but Han Yu wasn't listening. He was captivated by a sudden message that echoed in his mind.

"Ding! Mission triggered: 'Craft a Spider-Man Suit'!"

Han Yu's lips curved into a slight smile. This mission assigned by the system was too straightforward. Tasks without the "main" or "extra" prefix were usually common, with a higher chance of triggering and rewards consisting of three to five upgrade points.

To obtain something truly valuable, one needed to be incredibly lucky.

"Crafting a Spider-Man suit isn't difficult at all. I remember the original design clearly. But should I help him?"

Han Yu gazed intently at the talkative teenager before him, lost in thought. Making a suit was simple, but anything crafted by Han Yu would be extraordinary. If the wearer couldn't use it wisely, it could be disastrous for both him and others.

"Parker, let me interrupt you for a moment," Han Yu gestured for him to stop and asked, "Now that you have superpowers, what do you plan to do with them?"

Han Yu's question silenced Peter Parker.

What to do? It was indeed a question. Burn, kill, loot, and pillage? Peter Parker had no such intentions. Become a sports star at school? He felt that would be a waste of his abilities.

After a moment of contemplation, Peter Parker looked straight into Han Yu's eyes and said, "I want to fight crime. I want to help others."

His answer sparked a glimmer in Han Yu's eyes, and he followed up with, "Why?"

Peter Parker hesitated for a moment before saying, "Because... if you have the power to do something but choose not to, then you are responsible for the bad things that happen afterward."

His words pleased Han Yu greatly. As a sixteen-year-old, having such insight was remarkable and deserving of Han Yu crafting a suit for him.

"Are you ready, then? Being a superhero is not as easy as you might think. The challenges you'll face will far exceed your imagination, and even your life may be at stake!"

Peter Parker replied firmly, "If I don't do it, I'll feel even worse."

"Excellent, young man. You've convinced me. Come with me."

"Eh? Where are we going...?"

Since they were on the first floor, outsiders could still enter, and it wouldn't be good if strangers found out about this. Han Yu led him to a room.

After fumbling around the wall for a moment, he finally found the switch.

The lights flickered on, illuminating the room, and Peter Parker's eyes widened in amazement.

The room was surprisingly large, around fifty to sixty square meters, with walls lined with weapons, too many to count. This was Han Yu's workshop, where he forged various weapons and equipment.

"What is this thing?"

In the center of the room stood a massive metal "furnace pit," which Peter Parker approached curiously.

The "furnace pit" was so wide that two adults couldn't embrace it, and it stood about a meter tall. It looked like a highly advanced ejector or something similar.

Han Yu casually explained, "That's the Planetary Ejector. I use it for forging things."

"Planetary Ejector?!"

Peter Parker's hair stood on end, and he looked at Han Yu with strange eyes, saying, "Han, haven't you watched too many sci-fi movies?"

It was understandable why Peter Parker reacted that way. Even if it were the Avengers standing there, they would think Han Yu had lost his mind upon hearing such a statement.

"You might want to step back a bit."

Han Yu chuckled and walked over to the control panel standing nearby. He pressed a few buttons, and the Planetary Ejector roared with a deafening "BOOM BOOM BOOM," unleashing a thick column of blue flame that seemed capable of instantly vaporizing anything in its path. A faint energy field surrounded the flame, preventing it from spreading to the surroundings.

Despite the barrier, Peter Parker broke out in a sweat, testament to the authenticity of the Planetary Ejector.

Seeing Peter Parker's astonished and sweaty face, Han Yu switched off the ejector and said, "That was only one percent of its power. I usually start with at least forty percent when forging items."

"This thing is terrifying," Peter Parker said, wiping the sweat from his forehead. In contrast, Han Yu remained perfectly dry.

"Han, what exactly do you sell here? I always thought it was just a regular general store. Aren't you some kind of high-tech smuggler? We can't be involved in that. If the Avengers found out, they'd arrest you for sure."

Peter Parker's anxious demeanor made Han Yu chuckle helplessly.

"Calling me a high-tech smuggler isn't entirely wrong, but I didn't steal any of this. It's all mine."

"Your words earlier touched me, so I've decided to make you a suit. You can't go around saving people in your pajamas."

Peter Parker blushed slightly but was mostly excited at the prospect of a suit. "A suit? Really? It won't be too expensive, right? I can't afford anything too pricey."

"Haha, it's free!"

Han Yu grabbed a tape measure and took Peter Parker's height and waist measurements before starting to cut fabric.

"Oh, I have some ideas for the suit too!"

Peter Parker set down his backpack and pulled out a small sketchbook, handing it to Han Yu.

Upon opening it, Han Yu let out a soft exclamation as he found several sets of clothing design sketches inside. Although the designs were still rough and simplistic, they already bore the rudimentary form of the Spider-Man suit from his memories.

Seeing Han Yu scrutinize his sketches so intently, Peter Parker grew embarrassed and quickly said, "I just wanted to show you. You can still do it your way. I'm fine with whatever."

Han Yu smiled. "It's okay. I think your ideas are great. I'm going to incorporate them into the design."

There was nothing more gratifying than being recognized and appreciated. Peter Parker grinned happily and joined Han Yu in crafting the suit, not slowing him down but actually speeding up the process.

It had to be said that Peter Parker was incredibly intelligent. His involvement not only didn't hinder Han Yu but actually made the suit's construction go faster.

Peter Parker said, "Regarding the web shooter, it would be convenient if I could hold it in my palm and activate it with my middle and ring fingers, so I can still grasp things easily."

Han Yu smiled. "Alright, I'll do as you say."

Taking advantage of Peter Parker's preoccupation with designing the suit, Han Yu tapped the air a few times and produced a scroll the size of a palm. He gently tapped it against the Spider-Man suit, integrating it into the fabric. Han Yu repeated this action three times.

"These three one-time use Shinkiro Tensei scrolls will serve as Parker's lifesavers. Three near-death experiences should be enough to help him grow."

Since these items were consumed during a system task, they didn't count against Han Yu's personal inventory.

He didn't tell Peter Parker about the Shinkiro Tensei scrolls that could potentially save his life, as he didn't want Peter to become complacent. Such a mindset would hinder his growth.

Eagles don't learn to soar by staying in a greenhouse.

During this time, Wanda came downstairs to check on them but found Han Yu and the young man busy with something unknown. She didn't disturb them and quietly went back up to cut some fruit, placing it in the room before returning to her own affairs.

Peter Parker, engrossed in his work, didn't notice, but Han Yu did. Seeing Wanda's thoughtfulness, he couldn't help but smile.

Time flew by, and before they knew it, the sun was setting as they finally finished the Spider-Man suit.

Initially, Han Yu took the lead, but Peter Parker grew more and more enthusiastic, contributing most of the suit's design ideas. The final product was excellent, closely resembling the Spider-Man suit from Han Yu's memories.

The suit primarily featured red and blue fabrics, with red covering the feet, hands, chest, and mask, while blue adorned the sides and thighs. A black spider emblem adorned the chest.

For Han Yu, this suit was more than just a piece of clothing; it was a reminder of his youth, the most iconic Spider-Man suit of all time!
