Chapter 26 - Gala by the Pool

That night at the Loud House, a tired Lincoln plopped on the couch. Between training and patrolling afterwards, he just wanted dinner and to head to bed.

"To think, I finally got the attention of an Avenger," Lincoln thought to himself. "I'm really going places as a superhero. Maybe if I'm lucky, I can go to New York sooner. This'll be great."

"Lincoln," Lola said, getting the boy's attention. "Dinner's ready, better get a move on before Lynn steals your food."

"Why does everyone say that every time dinner is ready?" Lynn asked aloud.

"Because it's accurate," Lola said. "If anyone takes their eyes off their food around you, then you take it as an invitation to grab it off their plate!"

"Hey if your eyes wander, it means you must be full," Lynn insisted.

"Oh please," Lola said. "Just keep your mitts off my macaroni!"

"I probably should hurry before Lynn tries anything," Lincoln got off the couch and made his way into the dining room.

It wasn't long before Lynn Sr served his children some macaroni and cheese with optional bacon bits on the side. "Alright family, dig in!"

"Thanks dad," the kids said, taking in their food.

During dinner, Rita had tapped her glass to get her family's attention, "Now that we're all here, I have something important to say."

"It wasn't me," Lynn said, earning a confused reaction from everyone, including her parents. "Oh wait, did nothing break?"

"No...nothing's broken," Rita said. "This is about a party hosted by the Rosato Family."

"The who?" Lynn asked.

"Their daughter is one of Lincoln's classmates," Rita said. "I believe her name is Jordan."

"Oh yeah, she was telling me and my friends about it earlier today," Lincoln said. "She invited me, out friends, and all of you to the Gala this weekend."

"A Gala? Sounds elegant," Lola said.

"This is Girl Jordan, right?" Lynn asked.

"Yeah, you remember her, don't you?" Lincoln asked. "We saw her not too long ago when we were honoring veterans."

"Yeah, she got worried because you disappeared after that Vulture guy showed up," Lynn said. "But still, I didn't expect her to be the Gala type."

"Well her family is wealthy, I've been to her house before too," Lincoln said. "She's got a pool, and she said we can swim in it."

"A pool party?" Luan asked.

"Sounds awesome," Luna said.

"Can't wait to do a cannon ball," Lynn said. "Might need to start up those butt exercises again."

"Lynn, we're eating, don't start talking about your butt," Lola said.

"In either case, it was very nice of Jordan's Family to invite us, so I expect you to be on your best behavior, a lot of important people will be there too," Rita said. "Including my boss."

"Your boss?" Lincoln asked. "You mean J Jonah Jameson!?"

"Yes, he will be present at the party too," Rita confirmed.

"Ugh, seriously?" Lana asked.

"Why him though?" Luan asked.

"He's so full of negative energy," Lucy said. "And that's coming from me."

"I know he doesn't always have the nicest things to say, mostly about Spider-Man," Rita began. "But he's still my boss and one of the reasons this family still has an income. I'd like for all of you to be nice when you see him."

"Fine with me, he's never said anything to upset me," Lola said.

"You would say that," Lana said.

"Oh hush you," Lola said.

"Girls, be nice!" Rita warned. "This is the type of behavior I want to avoid this weekend."

"Is Lori going to be there too?" Lincoln asked.

"I called her earlier today, she told me she wants to be there," Rita said. "So expect her to be there."

"Any chance we can bring dates?" Luna asked.

"Jordan says you can," Lincoln said. "But also Luna, Jordan did say not to bring rock equipment."

"Aw, bogus," Luna said.

"She also said to wear something nice," Lincoln said. "Nothing super fancy but nice enough for a Gala."

"I was told that myself," Rita said. "Lincoln, your khakis still fit, right?"

"They might but I figured I'd stop by the store tomorrow and get a nicer pair," Lincoln said.

"That would be great, try not to get anything too expensive though," Rita said.

"I actually even considered a suit," Lincoln said. "Not sure if it's too much."

"Do what makes you comfortable," Rita said. "As for you girls, I think you should all pick out some nice dresses to wear."

"Wait, dress?" Lynn asked. "I am NOT wearing a dress."

"Me neither, I'll look like Lola," Lana said.

"You say that like it's a bad thing," Lola said. "Besides you had no problem looking like me when you took my pageant spot after I got injured."

"I only did that for Dairy Land tickets," Lana said. "What's in it for me this time?"

"I'm not going to hear it, you will all wear a nice dress," Rita said. "I expect you to be well groomed too."

"Well this sucks," Lana said.

"Lana, don't use language like that," Lynn Sr scolded.

"Linky, did Jordan say anything about bringing friends too?" Lola asked.

"He just said we can bring dates," Lynn said.

"I know that but I'm not dating Cricket," Lola said.

"I'll have to ask her for verification, but Jordan did say Chloe was coming with Clyde and that Chloe is bringing Emma so she might be okay with that," Lincoln said.

"Oof, Emma?" Lynn asked. "As in your ex-girlfriend."

"Yes Lynn...my ex," Lincoln said. "She's allowed to be there after all."

"I know, but it's kind of sad that Clyde still has a date when you don't," Lynn said.

"Lynn!" Luna scolded.

"I meant that as a good thing, or bad thing," Lynn said, the girl began confusing herself. "Point is that Lincoln's a handsome guy and Clyde...he's nice but kind of plain looking, and has a terrible sense of fashion. Plus he still wears those goofy glasses, everyone knows glasses makes you look like a dork."

"I resent that last statement," Lisa said.

"My point is that how did Clyde hold onto a girl while Lincoln couldn't?" Lynn asked.

"Well Clyde's a nice boy, sometimes girls just want that rather than cute," Leni sai. "Uh, not saying Clyde isn't cute but just to be in the fair middle."

"Tell him to ditch the goofy glasses and sweater and he might be more tolerable to look at," Lola said.

"Lola, that's not a polite thing to say," Rita scolded. "And Lynn, this is not a conversation you should be starting."

"I'm just trying to understand things," Lynn said. "Clyde's showing up to a Gala with a date while Lincoln doesn't have anyone. It's an injustice, one I bet even Spider-Man can't fix."

"You know what this means, right?" Lola rhetorically asked. "We need to play matchmaker for Linky."

"I was afraid of this, looks like I'm gonna have to come clean," Lincoln shook it off. "Actually Lola, I already have a date."

"Wait, really?" Lola asked.

"Finally moving on, are you?" Lynn asked.

"Don't keep us in suspense bro, who's the girl?" Luna asked.

"It's Jordan," Lincoln admitted. "She asked me to be her date for the gala."

"Whoa really?" Lynn asked. "So the party's little hostess is going to be your date?"

"It's nothing serious, she just wants someone to keep her company since she thinks she's going to be bored," Lincoln said.

"Bored? It's a poll party, what's there to be bored about?" Lola asked.

"She didn't say," Lincoln said.

"Hope this means you can join the festivities," Lynn said. "And that she didn't sucker you into being her accessory when she has to play pretty daughter for her parents."

"Lynn!" Rita scolded.

"I'm just looking out for my little bro," Lynn insisted.

"There's a better way to word it, kiddo," Lynn Sr said. "Personally, it's great that she asked Lincoln to be her date, it's a big honor given the occasion."

"It's no big deal, I'm just helping out a friend," Lincoln said.

"Play your cards right, and she can end up being more than a friend," Luan said.

Lincoln blushed at the idea, not sure how to feel. "I like things how they are now, taking a step like that is risky. If it doesn't work out, it could hurt our friendship."

"It's a gamble, I know from experience," Luna said. "But keep an open mind, you might hit it off."

"Taking risks can be scary, but sometimes it pays off," Rita said, affectionately glancing at her husband.

"I'll do it if the moment seems right," Lincoln said. "Right now, I'm content with just accompanying her."

"Well we're not too far away, so we'll give you some pointers if you need them," Lola said.

"Speaking of dates, you think Lori will bring Bobby?" Leni asked.

"Of course, she wouldn't pass the chance up," Lola said.

"Hopefully Bobby brings Adelaide," Lana said. "Having a friend around would definitely make this party more bearable."

"I should invite my friends," Lola said. "Meli and Cricket would be more than happy to come."

"Whatever happened to Roxanne?" Lana asked. "Do you still hang out with her?"

"Oh, she's been busy with national pageants, but I keep in touch with her through letters," Lola said.

"Letters? Can't you just text her or something?" Lynn asked.

"She doesn't have a phone," Lola said. "Her parents think she's too young."

"Pfft, bogus, everyone has a phone nowadays," Lynn said.

"Can it," Lola said. "Besides, letters have their own unique charm. It's like a message from the heart."

"That's a great way to look at it kiddo," Lynn Sr said. "Don't let old traditions wither away."

"Old traditions..." Lincoln thought about his comics, how even Ace Savvy had started to change over the years, newer characters being introduced and losing the heart of what makes a hero. Power placed over character development, nothing meaningful, just soulless husks. "Wonder what category of hero I would fall into?"

At her house, Stella was kicking back on the desk in her room, chatting with Christina on the phone, "I'm still amazed we got to see Black Widow. She's so nice in person."

"Yeah, I'm kind of surprised," Christina said, the girl sitting on her bed and painting her toenails.

"What's there to be surprised about? She's a superhero, it should be expected that they're nice," Stella said.

"Well, they do say it's not good to meet your heroes, your fantasies tend to get shattered by reality," Christina said.

"Yeah, I've heard about that," Stella said. "Fortunately Natasha isn't like that at all. Good thing too, she would have to be a good role model for female superheroes after all."

"Oh yeah, there aren't that many, are there?" Christina asked.

"No, most of them are guys, even in comics, kind of bogus if you ask me," Stella said. "Girls should have their chance to shine after all."

"I do agree that it would be nice to see more female superheroes, but is it really okay to say that the guys are bogus?" Christina asked.

"Hey don't get me wrong, I respect all the guys in The Avengers," Stella said. "Iron Man is one of my favorites too, I want to be a great inventor like Tony Stark. But I also like seeing women in this type of field, science or heroes. It makes it seem less difficult for me, like I can actually do this. You know what I mean, don't you?"

"I think I see where you're coming from," Christina said. "Girls should have a chance to prove themselves."

"Exactly," Stella said. "We can be tough when we want to be. You saw how Natasha whooped Lincoln."

"Oh yeah, he tried his best, but Natasha was just a few steps ahead," Christina said. "She is more of a martial artist though, even I couldn't take her."

"What matters is you and Lincoln learning martial arts and getting better," Stella said. "You two should practice in your spare time, Natasha would really appreciate the initiative."

"We just need to make time for it," Christina said.

"You may also need to step up a bit, Lincoln's going to have some new responsibilities," Stella said. "Going solo for a bit won't be so bad though."

"So long as you're there to back me up," Christina said. "Not physically of course, but through the radio and stuff."

"Of course, you can count on me," Stella said. "Let's talk strategy should that come up."

"Sounds good to me," Christina said. "Where should we start?"

The following day after school, Lincoln was heading out and ready for not just his patrols, but also for the chance to meet up with Natasha. He would wait for her, Stella and Christina near the school entrance so the three can leave together.

"Lincoln!" Came Chloe's voice, getting the boy's attention.

"Hey Chloe, is something up?" Lincoln asked.

"Yeah, it's about my tutoring," Chloe said. "I'm free this evening if you want to come over to my house."

"Sure, we'll pick a time," Lincoln said. "What exactly do you need help with?"

"Some algebra and a bit of science," Chloe said.

"Well, I can see why I was recommended regarding the science part," Lincoln said. "Didn't know you struggled with algebra."

"It's not my strong suit," Chloe said. "I'm more of an artistic type than a math and science type."

"Makes sense, you're great at drawing and stuff," Lincoln said. "In a way though, science is like art in its own right. Like a painting requires the proper color scheme, science requires the proper procedures. You gotta know what goes with what to get your desired results."

"Yeah I get what you mean," Chloe said. "Still doesn't make the transition any easier."

"I can help you figure that out," Lincoln said. "Once you have the hang of it, you won't be needing my tutoring services."

"I hope so," Chloe said. "Remember, no one is allowed to know about this, including our friends. I didn't even tell Clyde."

"Wait, so you want all of them out of the loop?" Lincoln asked.

"Bingo. Nothing against them but Rusty or Zach might start talking, Paige too," Chloe said. "I can't have anyone knowing. It would look really bad for my reputation."

"I'm surprised you even care, you and Emma never cared about that stuff," Lincoln said.

"I have to keep up something of a cool factor, it keeps bullies away from Emma," Chloe explained. "I'm known to have fun and goof around a bit, and my artistic skills help. Basically, I'm doing this for Emma more than me."

"That's kind of you," Lincoln said. "Anyway, I have to head out, I'm meeting some friends."

"Yeah sure, text me later," Chloe said, making her exit.

"Alone with Chloe...not gonna lie, it'll be a little strange since we've never hung out one on one," Lincoln thought to himself as he made his way to the school entrance.

Stella and Christina were chatting with Paige and Jordan, the latter telling them about her party. "I appreciate you all coming, the more friendly and familiar faces, the better."

"I'm not turning down a pool," Paige said. "But I will say, one thing that might sweeten the deal for me-"

"There's gonna be video games too," Jordan said. "I got all the up-to-date models, including the Snap Pro Deluxe."

"That's freaking awesome!" Paige said. "Really wish I had stuff like that. You're lucky you have the parents you do, Jordan. They can get you anything they want."

"Uh...right," Jordan awkwardly said, then noticed a new arrival. "Hey Lincoln! Good to see you. Did you tell your family about the party?"

"Yeah, they're really excited," Lincoln said. "Lori's coming too, I think she wants to bring Bobby, his sister and some neighbors."

"That's cool with me, I don't mind having Ronnie Anne or her friends over," Jordan said.

"If you want, I can see if her abuela wants to bring some food," Lincoln said. "She makes great tamales."

"Oh yeah, that sounds great," Jordan said. "If she's cool with that, then she should go for it."

"Tamales sound really good right about now," Paige said. "I hope Ronnie Anne can make it, I wanna see if I can beat her in Muscle Fish."

"Pfft, good luck, she has insanely fast reflexes, even someone with your talent is gonna struggle," Lincoln said.

"That's why I wanna go against her, she pushes me to my limit and helps me be my best," Paige said. "She is my one, true rival."

"Uh, I wouldn't say that, I'm pretty good at the game too, after all," Lincoln said.

"Didn't you lose to Leni once because she was button mashing?" Stella asked. "She didn't even know she was playing a game."

"Hey, even I can't last against dumb luck," Lincoln said. "Doesn't make me any less skilled at the game."

"You are skilled Lincoln, I will admit," Paige said. "Buuuuuuut, not quite my level."

"Hey I'll play you right now!" Lincoln said.

"Maybe later Lincoln, we have that thing to do," Christina said.

"Yeah, keep your ego in check for the afternoon," Stella said.

"Hey! I don't have an ego!" Lincoln said. "You're just jealous of my awesome skills."

"Watch it, I've beaten you in Muscle Fish too, you're not that great," Stella said, much to Lincoln's annoyance as she stood up. "We'll catch you later girls."

"Paige, I'll be by this evening," Christina said.

"You got it, good luck with whatever it is you need to do," Paige said as Christina left with Stella and Lincoln.

"See you later," Jordan said, waving the three off. "So...where exactly are they going?"

"Lincoln and Stella have some science project and need Christina's input on certain things," Paige said. "Funny, Christina never struck me as a scientist but maybe she found something that keeps her interest."

"Things really change," Jordan said as she left. "Anyway, I'll see you tomorrow."

"Bye Jordan," Paige said, making her own leave.

Jordan walked off, the girl thinking to herself, "I hope this Gala turns out well, it's gonna be a pain maintaining this good girl image."

With Lincoln and the girls, the boy was checking his backpack for anything he would need later, "Alright, still have my books, maybe I can go over afterwards."

"Go where?" Christina asked.

"Chloe's house for her tutoring," Lincoln said.

"Oh yeah, you have that," Stella said. "Think it'll go well."

"I hope so, things might be a bit awkward though," Lincoln said. "Since my breakup with Emma, I never felt comfortable around Chloe, especially when it comes to Clyde."

"It's understandable, but hopefully she maintains professionalism," Christina said.

"It's weird, she doesn't want anyone knowing about the tutoring," Lincoln said. "And she means anyone, not even you two."

"Too late, you already blabbed her secret," Stella said.

"Hey, to be fair, I didn't know it meant our friends," Lincoln said. "Thankfully she didn't ask me if I told any of you so far, but she was a bit frazzled by this whole thing, so it probably slipped her mind. That or maybe she didn't care at first but does now. Hard to say, I don't really understand Chloe."

"Even when she's around, she doesn't talk to us much," Stella said. "I wonder if she's actually shy?"

"She might be, sometimes a shy person can mask that shyness well," Christina said.

"She's trying to maintain an image, for Emma's sake at least," Lincoln said.

"Really? She's worried about her image?" Christina asked. "But isn't she dating Clyde?"

"Wow, kind of harsh there, Christina," Stella scolded.

"I didn't mean anything bad by it, I think Clyde's a great guy," Christina said. "But we all know he's not that popular, none of us are."

"Actually, the Action Six News Team is pretty popular in school," Lincoln explained. "We're not like athlete level, or cheerleader, but we have some degree of respect, so it's not hard to believe that Chloe wouldn't be ashamed about Clyde."

"Weird, it doesn't seem like we get that much respect," Stella said. "Some kids call our News Team dorky."

"Well Jordan likes it and she's pretty popular herself," Lincoln said. "Chandler's pretty much the only one who actively hates it."

"Of course he does," Christina said. "Anyway, let's double time it. We have a patrol to get to."

"By the way, has anyone seen Natasha today?" Stella asked. "Are we going to see her?"

"She told us to get ready for our patrol, maybe she's gonna meet us out in the streets or something," Lincoln said.

"Imagine that," Christina said.

The trio arrived at their base in Tall Timbers Park, Lincoln and Christina opting to leave their civilian gear there when they came across a major surprise.

"So...this is your base of operations," Came the voice of Natasha, the woman waiting in the base for the three kids.

"No way!" Stella shouted in disbelief. "How did you find this place!?"

"It wasn't that hard," Natasha said. "I have tapped into your communications, that's how I figured out who you were as a team."

"Wow, you really are amazing!" Stella said, sparkles in her eyes.

"It's nothing," Natasha said. "So, are you kids off to patrol?"

"Yeah, just like we always do," Lincoln said. "Did you need us for something beforehand though?"

"Not yet, today I just wanted to see you at work from here," Natasha said. "Assuming it's alright with Stella."

"It's more than alright, make yourself comfortable!" Stella said. "I can even get you something to eat or drink if you want."

"It's fine, don't make a fuss," Natasha said.

"So you're not coming into town with us?" Christina asked.

"I don't really do street level stuff much, but I am here if you need backup," Natasha said.

"Besides, you two have it under control," Stella said. "It's just a bunch of thugs, nothing Nat needs to dirty her hands over."

"Right..." Lincoln said. "I'm gonna go change."

"Right behind you," Christina said as the two each went to their own private location to switch clothes.

Natasha took a gander at some of the materials, "Where did you get a lot of this stuff?"

"I brought a lot from home, some I even built out of old scraps," Stella said. "You'd be amazed what people throw out. One person's trash is another person's treasure."

"You have the resourceful mind of Iron Man," Natasha said. "You make good use of everything around you."

"Wow, such high praise," Stella said, feeling flustered. "I'm glad you like the layout. It is a bit amateurish but, it's all we can do for now."

"Everything starts out small," Natasha said. "In a few years, you might have the resources to get something bigger, if you are patient enough."

"I'll make it happen," Stella said.

Not too long later, both Lincoln and Christina had returned, fully dressed in their gear.

"Alright, we're ready to patrol," Lincoln said.

"Sounds good, Nat and I will keep tabs from over here," Stella said.

"Say, Natasha, I've been wondering," Lincoln said. "Are any of the other Avengers in town?"

"Right now, it's only me, everyone else is back in New York," Natasha said. "But if you impress everyone at S.H.I.E.L.D. enough, then you might see more in the future."

"Awesome," Lincoln said. "Come on Christina, let's prove our worth as heroes."

"Right behind you, Spidey," Christina said, heading out of the door with her friend.

"So...what are the odds that Spider-Man and Firestar will make it as Avengers?" Stella asked.

"Honestly, I think they're fine as is, being an Avenger is an honor but a little different than being a regular superhero," Natasha said. "There's a lot of behind-the-scenes stuff you wouldn't expect. Captain America isn't too fond of it, either."

"Wow really?" Stella asked.

"Uh...might have said too much there, don't worry about it," Natasha said.

"Hey I won't leak out any secrets you tell me, I wouldn't want to disappoint you," Stella said.

"A sweet girl like you disappoint me? Hardly," Natasha said.

Stella bashfully rubbed her head, "Thanks Nat."

"By the way, your friend Jordan seems to be throwing a party this weekend," Natasha said.

"Yeah, some Gala event," Stella said.

"Are you, Lincoln or Christina going?" Natasha asked.

"Yeah, we all got invites," Stella said. "Why do you ask?"

"Oh no reason, I got an invite too, or rather Nadia Rodavich did," Natasha said. "So, it'd be nice to see you at the party."

"Maybe you can meet my parents," Stella said. "They're a bit strict but they're nice people. Gotta ask, is it a good idea for you to go? What if someone recognizes you?"

"I doubt it, no one has at school," Natasha said. "Only you, Lincoln and Christina know who I am."

"Right, maybe it's because I know that I can't unsee Natasha," Stella said. "I just hope Lincoln or Christina don't blow your cover either."

"They've held each other's secrets, just like you've held theirs," Natasha said. "Have faith."

"Yeah, I will," Stella reassured.

Meanwhile with Jordan, the girl was checking her closet, trying to figure out the best set of clothes to wear for the party.

"Do I go all out?" Jordan wondered. "Or should I just keep it simple?"

As she searched through her closet, she heard a knock on her door, "Jordan?"

"Huh?" Jordan recognized the voice. "Come in Uncle Dimitri!"

Opening up, Dimitri entered the room, "Hi Jordan, sorry for the intrusion."

"It's no big deal, I'm just trying to figure out something nice to wear for this dumb party."

"Well now, sounds like someone isn't too excited," Dimitri playfully teased.

"This isn't something I want to do, my father's making me do it," Jordan said. "The only reason it won't totally suck is because my friends are going to be there."

"See, you made the best of a bad situation," Dimitri said.

"Well it wouldn't be so bad if my father wasn't so controlling over everything I do," Jordan said. "I'm thirteen now, I'm practically a woman."

"Eh, practically isn't quite there yet," Dimitri said, taking a quick look around her room. "Even if you have grown up more than I expected. It's been so long since I've seen you, everything seems different, even your room."

"Times change, you'd know if you'd visit more often," Jordan said. "You used to do it all the time, why'd you stop?"

"My work is very demanding," Dimitri said. "Believe me, I would love to come by more often."

"It'd be a nice change of pace without having to deal with my father," Jordan said.

"Jordan, my dear, you should know your father means no harm," Dimitri said. "Be grateful you have family in your life, too many take that fact for granted."

"If you knew the type of scumbag he is, you wouldn't say that!" Jordan said. "I just wish I could move away. Any chance I can live with you or something?"

"I'm...afraid I can't take anyone in," Dimitri said. "It would be unsafe."

"Ugh...so bogus," Jordan said. "Whatever, I'll figure something else out."

"Look..." Dimitri started to feel some pain, the man grabbing his face, much to Jordan's concern.

"Hey, are you alright?" Jordan asked.

"I am fine..." Dimitri insisted, still feeling pain. "I...need to go! Now!"

"But uncle!" Jordan called.

"Another time!" Dimitri ran out the room, much to Jordan's confusion.

"What was that all about?" Jordan had a bad feeling but right now, she wasn't sure what to do.

Meanwhile Dimitri rushed into another room, the man looking into the mirror, seeing that his face was completely gone. No eyes, no mouth, no nose, no hair. Just a completely white and blank face.

Anger coursed through Dimitri, angry at what had become of his life, "Damn you S.H.I.E.L.D. I am a freak because of you! One day, I will have my revenge and personally see to it that everything you stand for burns to the ground!"

He didn't want to stick around, fearing that one of his relatives would see him like this, so he quickly grabbed a hoodie, escaped through a window and ran off.

In town, Lincoln and Christina had just stopped a robbery, though to their surprise, this was not as dire as they expected.

"Seriously, why did you rob a shoe store?" Lincoln asked, the hero standing over the thief, holding the item in question. "For socks!?"

"It's cold," the thief said.

"But why do you need so many socks!?" Lincoln asked. "Also, socks are cheap! Why would you even steal them in the first place!?"

"Hey, do I tell you how to live your life?" the thief asked.

"This is so embarrassing," Christina lamented, "I don't know what's worse, you stealing socks or the fact that Spider-Man and I had to waste our time with this."

"Hey justice is done, that's never a waste of time," Lincoln said. "But I kind of see your point, this is so underwhelming."

"Maybe we're just running out of bad guys?" Christina suggested. "If we're down to weirdos who steal socks, then this town is practically as clean as it was before you and I came along."

"You two are in no position to call anyone 'weird' what with your poor fashion choices!" The crook said.

Lincoln and Christina glanced at each other for a split second before stomping on the guy, knocking him out.

"What does he know about style?" Lincoln said, dusting off.

"Totally, he steals socks after all," Christina said.

A few seconds later, some policemen came by, the lead cop coming to arrest the thief, "We'll take it from here."

"Thanks, honestly I think you guys could have handled this one," Lincoln said.

"Maybe, but we appreciate the help nonetheless," the cop said, lifting the guy up. "But yeah, crime's been low again recently, soon Royal Woods may not need a superhero."

"Well...that's good, it means the town's gonna be safe," Lincoln said.

"For the most part," the cop said. "Never know when the next freak's gonna show up, but until then, maybe you'll have more time on your hands."

"That would be nice," Lincoln admitted. "But until then, me and my sidekick will stay diligent."

"We'll keep fighting until there are no thieves in Royal Woods," Christina said.

"Good on you two," the cop said, dragging the guy away. "Man, you two really did a number on this guy."

"Yeah, guess we did," Lincoln said. "Let's go Firestar."

"Right behind you Spider-Man," Christina said as the two made their exit.

As the cops did what they needed to do, Lincoln and Christina took to a nearby rooftop, both doing one last scan of the city.

"Given that Black Widow was here, I was hoping she'd see something more impressive," Christina said.

"To be fair, even if it was a bank, Natasha's gone against aliens," Lincoln said. "Kind of hard to top that."

"Still..." Christina said.

"Plus we have our fair share of supervillains that we beat, and more might come," Lincoln said.

"...Kind of sounds like we actually want villains to come," Christina said. "We don't actually want to risk that, do we?"

"Of course not," Lincoln insisted. "But even if it happens, we can totally handle it. We've done well so far."

"If Vic and Kraven are any indication, then yeah, I would say we did a great job," Christina said.

"Lincoln, Christina," Stella said, getting their attention.

"Oh hey Stella, need us for something?" Christina asked.

"Is Natasha there? Did she see us take down our foes?" Lincoln asked. "Was she impressed?"

"Yeah, she was totally impressed by you beating up the sock thief," Stella sarcastically commented. "But she's not here, she had to step away for a bit."

"Seriously?" Lincoln asked. "When?"

"Just now, she said she had to speak with her boss about something," Stella said.

"Aw, I was kind of hoping to review my progress with her," Lincoln said.

"Well what she had to do might be important," Christina said. "You can review later."

"Of course," Lincoln said, checking the time. "Well that should be enough patrolling for one day. I gotta go to my 'secret' meeting with Chloe."

"Oh right, that tutoring session that Stella and I aren't supposed to know about," Christina said.

"I still don't see the big deal," Stella said.

"I don't either, but it's what Chloe wants, so let's try to respect that," Lincoln said.

"Understandable," Christina said. "Let's meet back with Stella before we call it quits for the day."

"Sounds good, let's go," Lincoln said, swinging off with Christina flying right behind him.

Meanwhile in town, Natasha was searching the streets incognito, the woman currently on the phone with Nick Fury. "These kids aren't bad, they stopped a robbery today. It was a dumb one, but they still acted fast."

"That's nice, but remember why you're in Royal Woods," Fury said. "You need to find that runaway, and fast. Be careful too, he's very good at blending into the crowd."

"That's an understatement," Natasha said as she walked along the sidewalk.

From nearby, Dimitri spotted Natasha, rage welling up inside of him, "She's from S.H.I.E.L.D. Probably came to look for me. I'll send her back to Fury as nothing more than a lifeless shell."

As Natasha walked along, she spotted something suspicious. Dimitri was nearby, making sure he caught her attention as he went into an alley.

She followed him, unsure if this was a trap, but also undeterred. As she got in, she found herself in the middle of a walkway surrounded by a lot of garbage.

"He was just here..." Natasha heard a clinking sound nearby. She looked below to see that a gas canister was dropped by her feet. "No!"

Natasha quickly leapt away just before the gas leaked out, then dodged an oncoming rope trap before pulling out her gun.

"Show yourself!" Natasha said, seeing a figure walk close. It took her a second to recognize who this was, not hard given the notable distinction. "You!"

Indeed, Dimitri was standing before her, the man shapeshifting to take the appearance of Nick Fury. "Miss me?"

"Finally decided to show your face?" Nataha asked.

"That saying is in poor taste," Dimitri transformed into his original appearance. "Because of you, my true face is gone! You and S.H.I.E.L.D.'s experiments."

"You're the one who signed on for it," Natasha said.

"I signed on to be of assistance to this country! A country that wasn't even my own!" Dimitri transformed again, taking on the appearance of the woman before him. "Something I figured a fellow Russian would more than understand."

"I do this more than just for Russia, and regardless of what happened to you, that does not justify the terrible things you have done," Natasha said. "How many places have you robbed? How many people have you hurt?"

Dimitri transformed into Tony Stark, "Don't act all high and mighty, not like you've led the most noble life yourself."

"Maybe not, but at least I can put my grievances past me," Natasha said. "I'm sorry you're in this position, but if you stuck around, we would have found a cure for you. But you didn't even give us a chance to do so!"

"You already took enough from my life, I was not going to trust you with more of it," Dimitri said.

"Regardless, I'm taking you down," Natasha said, getting into a fighting stance.

"Such a shame, a lovely lady like yourself should be by my side," Dimitri transformed into Kraven. "We can accomplish many great things together."

"Sorry Dimitri, but men like you just aren't my type," Natasha said.

"Dimitri? Oh no my dear, I am..." Dimitri reverted to his true form. "The Chameleon!"

The villain lunged to attack, but Natasha dodged and went for a kick to his chest, then followed up with an uppercut.

Dimitri went in to try again, trying to gain the upper hand in a battle of fisticuffs, and while he held his own, Natasha was quick herself, keeping her opponent detained.

However, he managed to get in a sweep that knocked Natasha briefly off balance and allowed him to hit her with a diving kick that sent her into some garbage cans.

"It's over," Dimitri grabbed an explosive. "Time for you to go out with a bang."

"Not quite," Natasha said, sending a taser to zap her foe, causing him to drop the explosive as it set off and took part of a building, startling the nearby residents. "Crap!"

"Looks like you have some damage control to attend to," Dimitri said, running back into the crowd.

"Hey come back!" Natasha went to follow but he was already long gone, or blended in. "Damn...Doesn't matter, he'll show up at the Gala. I just have to be ready to find him fast. Better yet...I might need Lincoln to assist me. I just hope he's ready."

At Chloe's house, Lincoln had knocked on the door, awaiting an answer from the girl, "I hope this doesn't become weird."

Chloe answered a few seconds later, "Oh, Lincoln." She looked around, "No one saw you coming, did they?"

"No, or at least no one we know," Lincoln said.

"Okay good, hurry up inside before someone sees you," Chloe said, heading to the living room."

"She's being so weird about this," Lincoln felt as he walked inside. The boy had then made himself comfortable in her living room.

"My parents are out right now, so we should have the place to ourselves," Chloe said.

"You have a nice house," Lincoln said, organizing his stuff.

"Thanks," Chloe replied. "So, what are we starting with?"

"How about science, you needed help with the parts of the Periodic Table, didn't you?" Lincoln asked.

"Yeah, it's a pain to memorize," Chloe said.

"You likely won't have to memorize everything, just some of the key parts of it," Lincoln said. "Do you know the components for water?"

"That it's wet?" Chloe asked.

Lincoln had to hold back a chuckle, not wanting to upset Chloe, "Well, it is wet but there's more to it. Water, like everything in life, is made of atoms. Three atoms make up water. Two Hydrogen atoms, and an Oxygen atom. That's why water is also called, H2O."

"Oh, that's why? I thought it was just slang," Chloe said.

"Well it technically is, just on the scientific scale," Lincoln said. "Let's start with some of the easier to remember components. Some are single letters, like Hydrogen and Oxygen. There's others like N, for Nitrogen, and C, for Carbon."

"Simple enough," Chloe said. "So it sounds like it's just the first letter of each name."

"Not exactly since not all letters have something on the table," Lincoln said. "Some don't even add up. Take Potassium for example, that's a K on the table."

"Huh? A 'K'?" Chloe asked. "How does that many sense?"

"Sorry, I didn't make the rules, I'm just explaining them," Lincoln said.

"Well I gotta say, you're very clever when it comes to science," Chloe said.

"I've always had a keen interest, mainly because of all the Sci-Fi movies and shows that I watch, like Starship Groupers," Lincoln said.

"Oh yeah, Clyde's big into that show," Chloe said.

"It also helps that I have a sister who always speaks with scientific terms," Lincoln said. "Far as she's concerned, Theobroma Cacao is the proper name, Chocolate is the street name."

"That must be interesting to be around," Chloe said.

"Lisa's got her quirks, but so do all my sisters," Lincoln said. "It's what makes them either really fun to be around, or a pain in the neck to deal with."

"Clyde had a crush on your oldest sister, didn't he?" Chloe asked.

"Yeah, my sister Lori," Lincoln said.

"Does he still like her?" Chloe asked.

"Hm? What makes you ask that?" Lincoln wondered.

"Just curious, she must have been special if Clyde liked her," Chloe said.

"Well, she's kind of overbearing at times, and a little self-centered," Lincoln admitted. "She's still really nice and always reliable when you need her. She was also really patient with Clyde back when he had a crush, even if he did have a bad tendency to nosebleed on her shoes."

"Nosebleed?" Chloe asked. "That's a first. Well not entirely, he's had a few but never because he saw me."

"You probably don't make him as nervous as Lori did," Lincoln said. "Anyway, I'm pretty sure Clyde got over his crush. Not entirely sure when, he just did out of nowhere."

"Well that's good to know," Chloe said.

"You'll see my sister at the Gala, you're going right?" Lincoln asked.

"Of course, I got my invite, thanks to Clyde," Chloe said. "Emma's going too of course."

"How is Emma?" Lincoln asked.

"Doing just fine," Chloe said.

"That's good..." Lincoln said, feeling awkward.

Chloe also sensed how weird things were getting, "Never mind it, we're here for tutoring, let's keep it at that."

"Yeah, sounds great," Lincoln said. "Alright, here's how it'll go..."

Lincoln spent the next couple of hours teaching Chloe what he knew. She wasn't too quick to learn it, but she was making some notable progress. Lincoln knew he'd be in this for the long haul though.

As they continued to study, Lincoln got a text message from Luna. "Hey bro, it's late. Where you at? Parents are getting worried."

"Oh wow, it's is pretty late," Chloe said. "You should leave."

"Will you be fine? Seems like your parents aren't home either," Lincoln said.

"Not unusual," Chloe said. "Don't worry about me, just get home."

"Alright, and you made some good progress today," Lincoln said. "Let's do this again soon, maybe next time we can try my house."

"Eh, I'll think about it," Chloe said as she walked Lincoln to the door. "See you a school tomorrow."

"Yeah, sure," Lincoln said, making his exit.

Chloe signed in relief, "Glad that's over for now. Still gotta see him again soon. Gonna have to rethink the idea of seeing him for a long period of time while alone together."

Lincoln headed home, satisfied with today, but still with his mind on something, "Natasha hasn't tried to contact me, I hope she's alright."

The weekend had arrived, the Loud Family were all dressed and ready to embark on their trip to Girl Jordan's Gala party. The sisters each wore a dress, which for some like Leni and Lola, wasn't too hard. Leni had added some accents to her usual dress while Lola got some extra sparkles.

The only ones who were not too happy were Lana and Lynn, both of them annoyed at having to dress up for the occasion.

"Stupid dress, I look so stupid in these," Lynn lamented.

"Will you stop?" Luna said, the girl wearing a jean jacket over her own dress. "What's the big deal?"

"Skirts are weird!" Lynn said. "I can't understand how girls can wear them, what if someone sees your boxers?"

"Well personally speaking, I don't wear boxers, I wear panties, like most girls go," Luna said "Second, yeah that's a risk but your dress isn't that short."

"Besides, don't you have gym shorts?" Lola asked.

"Yeah, I'm wearing some right now," Lynn said, pulling her dress up to confirm. "I'm talking on principle though."

"Lynn, you're on the cheerleading squad, you wear a skirt all the time there," Luna said.

"That's a sport, so I'm willing to swallow that bitter pill," Lynn said.

"Look, you look fine as you are, stop fretting," Luna said. "If you're lucky, you might even turn a few heads your direction."

"Yeah, you actually look feminine enough to have that appeal," Lola said.

"What is THAT supposed to mean!?" Lynn asked.

"You look and act too masculine sometimes, a girl needs to be more...emotionally open," Lola said. "Boys like that in girls."

"If they're hoping for some petty damsel in distress, they got another thing coming," Lynn said. "I'm a modern girl, I don't need to look overly pretty to get a guy."

"You do you, but being a little feminine wouldn't hurt," Luna said.

"I'm plenty feminine," Lynn said, loudly belching immediately afterwards. "Whoa, that breakfast burrito landed hard."

"If you do that at the party, I'm going to deny that you're my sister," Lola said.

Lana looked very annoyed herself as she bitterly marched along down the stairs, "I'm with Lynn, these dresses are pointless. Why can't girls just wear something else?"

"You know, even Lisa's fine with wearing a dress, and she's a fashion disaster all the time," Lola said.

"I heard that! Your statement fills me with resent!" Lisa called.

"Geez, the sooner we get to this party, the sooner we can be done with this crap," Luna said.

"We're leaving in five minutes, kids!" Lynn Sr called from the front door. "If you're dressed then get your keisters in the car!"

"Most of us are already, I think Luan, Lucy, Lily and Lincoln are the only ones not ready," Luna said.

"I'm ready," Lucy said, making her way downstairs in an all-black dress.

"Lucy, you're aware that no one died right?" Lynn asked.

"Should I get the dress that's full of rainbows and sunshine that I own?" Lucy sarcastically asked.

"Rainbows? You got something you're not telling us? Or someone?" Lynn teased. "I know you and Haiku are close but-" Lucy kicked Lynn's knee, causing the girl to hop in pain for a brief second as she continued to make her way outside. "I'll get you for that one!"

"Was that rainbow comment really necessary?" Luna asked.

"I'm just joking, or are you feeling insecure about dating a girl there, Luna?" Lynn mocked.

"Of course not, I just hate the rainbow association," Luna said. "No offense to anyone who likes it, but rainbows don't exactly rock."

"Yeah, they're so girly," Lynn said.

"That coming from a girl," Lola commented. "Still, rainbows are nice. They're really pretty, full of bright colors and rumor is there's a pot of gold at the end of each one."

"Now that's a rainbow I can get behind," Luna said.

Lynn checked the time, "Well I'll head into the car, hopefully Stinkin up there doesn't take too long."

"Probably won't be calling him that once you see him," Luna said. "I think I heard him using cologne earlier."

"You mean for his 'casual' date?" Lynn asked. "If our bro's got a brain, which we can't deny he does, he's going to make himself look as nice as possible for Girl Jordan."

"Don't doubt that," Luna said, the girl looking upstairs. "Yo! Everyone! Try to move it!"

While in his room, Lincoln was trying to work his tie. The boy already had a nice but somewhat casual suit on and had just finished applying his cologne. "Almost there."

"So...this party," Lily said, the girl opting to spend a little time with her brother. "What's it about again?"

"Jordan's father is hosting it, so it's business related but Jordan wants us all there too," Lincoln said.

"Are there going to be games?" Lily asked.

"I think so, she promised some entertainment," Lincoln said, finally applying his tie. "Good, it's done." He turned to his sister. "How do I look?"

"Like the prettiest boy in the world," Lily said.

"Well...boys are supposed to be handsome, not pretty, but I'll take it," Lincoln said.

"I heard you and Girl Jordan are dating," Lily said. "Is that true?"

"Well, I am her date for the party, but that's it," Lincoln said. "I'm not actually dating her."

"Too bad, she's pretty, and you deserve a pretty girlfriend," Lily said.

"I appreciate that, Lils," Lincoln said. "It's just hard having a girlfriend. It's a lot of responsibility."

"Is it really? You just go on dates and kiss," Lily said.

"There's more to it than that, kiddo," Lincoln said, standing by his sister. "Want a piggyback ride?"

"That sounds fun," Lily said as she climbed onto Lincoln's back, the boy safely securing her legs. "Let's ride!"

"Hang on tight," Lincoln said, carrying his sister out of the room and toward the car.

Once everyone was settled, Lynn Jr drove his family to the Gala.

At her house, Jordan was waiting outside. So far only her father's business partners had come, but she herself was waiting for her own friends.

"Jordan honey! Have you seen your uncle Dimitri?" Ashley called.

"No mom!" Jordan called back, focused on the road. "I hope they don't take too long. Then again it's only 12:30, so...huh?"

She saw Vanzilla pull up alongside a Porsche. Out of Vanzilla of course was the entire Loud Family, save for Lori, who got out of her own car, joined by Bobby, Ronnie Anne, Sid and Adelaide.

"Here we are, I think this is the right address," Lori said.

"Lori!" Lynn Sr went to hug his daughter. "How's my little girl, doing?"

"I'm fine dad," Lori said, hugging back before breaking off. "Guess we made some good timing."

"Yeah, so did we for once," Lynn Sr said. "Even if some of your sisters took longer than others."

"I'll bet," Lori said, turning to her family. "Hi mom, hi everyone."

"Good to see you Lori, and wow, you look amazing," Rita said, noticing Lori's blue dress.

"Thanks, Carlota added a bit of style to this one," Lori said.

Lincoln waved over the city girls, "Ronnie Anne! Sid! Adelaide!"

"Yo! What's up, Lame-O?" Ronnie Anne said, hi-fiving Lincoln.

"My brother isn't lame!" Lily shouted, the girl pouting at Ronnie Anne.

"It's alright Lily, she's just joking," Lincoln said.

"Yeah, I don't think he's actually lame," Ronnie Anne reassured.

"Still," Lily said, hugging her brother around his legs.

"Heh, she's kind of protective of me sometimes," Lincoln said.

"I think it's adorable," Ronnie Anne said.

"Yeah, it just means she respects you, like a good little sister," Sid said, turning to her own sister. "Take notes Adelaide."

"Put a sock in it," Adelaide said.

"Adelaide!" Lana ran over to hug her friend. "I missed you!"

"Same to you, Lana," Adelaide said, then took note of Lola, and the sparkles in her dress. "Wow..."

"Adelaide dear, so good to see you," Lola said, hugging the girl.

"Pleasure's all mine," Adelaide said, the girl having a slight blush on her face.

"A happy reunion," Lincoln said.

"Lincoln! Loud Family!" Jordan said, welcoming them. "Glad you made it."

"The pleasure's all ours, Jordan," Rita said.

"You brought Ronnie Anne too, and a bit of Great Lakes," Jordan said.

"Thrilled to be here," Sid said.

"I brought some of my grandma's tamales," Bobby said, showing them off.

"Thanks. I'm happy, you made it and..." Jordan took note of Lincoln and how he was dressed. "Wow...you look amazing, Lincoln."

"Do I really? It's just some old suit," Lincoln insisted. "Your dress looks nice though."

Jordan showed off her pink dress, "Mom picked it out. Probably not the color I would have gone with though, I prefer yellow over pink."

"Didn't you used to wear a pink shirt?" Ronnie Anne asked. "It even had a flower on it."

"That was my mom's choice, she wanted me to look pretty," Jordan said. "I got tired of it and started wearing yellow."

"Well you look amazing," Lincoln said.

"Aw, thanks Linky," Jordan said, blushing at the compliment. "Come on in."

One by one the Loud Family and their friends entered, aside from a partially confused Lori. "What was that about?"

"What was what about, babe?" Bobby asked.

"The way she was talking to my brother," Lori said. "Calling him 'Linky'. It also seemed like they were flirting too."

"Lincoln's just being nice," Bobby said. "Can't comment on the 'Linky' bit, but Ronnie Anne says that Jordan tends to talk all flirty like, so it's not new."

"Still, it feels different than before," Lori said. "Eh, whatever, probably no big deal. Let's go."

"Right behind you, babe," Bobby said, following his girlfriend.

As time passed, more people started showing up. Benny, Sam and Gavin came along to be with their dates, Lincoln's friend group had arrived, same Emma and Chloe, along with some teachers, including a disguised Natasha. Leni's work friends came too, along with Meli and Cricket.

As everyone was chatting, Rita heard a familiar voice calling to her, one that caused despair for Lincoln. "Rita Loud!"

"Oh!" Rita turned to the oncoming J Jonah Jameson. "Hello sir, good to see you."

"Likewise!" Jonah said, making his way over, unaware of Lincoln slightly glaring at him. "This must be your family."

"Yes, meet my husband Lynn," Rita said, gesturing the man.

"Good to meet you, sir," Lynn Sr said, shaking Jonah's hand.

"And these are my kids," Rita said. "Lori, Leni, Luna, Luan, Lynn Jr, Lincoln, Lucy, Lana, Lola, Lisa and Lily."

"Wow, that's a lot of Ls," Jameson said.

"Hey!" Lynn shouted.

"Oh right, kids these days use the word 'L' for 'Loser'," Jonah said. "Such weird lingo you youngsters have. Still, nice pattern."

"Thanks," Rita turned to her family. "Say 'hello' kids."

"Hi..." Most of them said, mostly unenthusiastically.

"Wow...how excitable," Jameson joked. "You kids would do great working in a library or something."

"Kids, come on, this is my boss, be nicer," Rita said.

"It's fine, I do run a newspaper company, I know it's not a kid thing," Jameson said.

"I might like it more if you posted pictures of me, sir," Lola said. "The new headline, Royal Woods' Greatest Beauty!"

"You sure look camera ready, and cute as a button!" Jameson said.

"Well I am a pageant girl," Lola said.

"Yes, your mother's mentioned that," Jameson said, then turned to Lincoln. "This must be the only boy of eleven kids. Right in the middle too."

"Yeah, the middle," Lincoln said, barely registering his presence.

"Hope you're not caught up in too much estrogen, maintain that masculinity kid," Jameson said.

"I do plenty good with that," Lincoln said, a bit of attitude in her voice.

"Lincoln, I don't like that tone of yours," Rita said. "Sorry sir, he's a big fan of Spider-Man."

"Figured, lots of kids hate what I have to say about him," Jameson said.

"Well yeah, he's a hero, why do you keep disrespecting him?" Lana asked.

"Hey, part of my job is being honest," Jameson said. "Sorry, but that's life. Superheroes just aren't worth the risk that is brought upon society."

"Superheroes are cool! And they save lives!" Lana said. "I bet a hero would save your life if you were in danger."

"Yeah, sounds great on the outside," Jameson said. "What happens when there is no hero though? People get too dependent on having a savior, that when they need one, there's no savior to be found."

"The heroes seem to do a good job, not sure what you're on about," Lana said.

"Right, they do so well, don't they?" Jameson asked, turning to the kids. "Promise me that none of you will put your life in the hands of a hero."

"Hey Spider-Man saved me and Lana once!" Lily said. "I have nothing but faith in him, unlike a miserable old man like you!"

"Lily Loud!" Rita scolded. "Apologize right now!"

"It's fine, Rita, don't worry," Jameson said.

"I'm going to hang out with Ronnie Anne and Sid," Lincoln said, making his leave.

"Lincoln too?" Rita lamented.

"Let him vent a bit, it's good," Jameson said. "I don't fault your kids for being mad. I will never be sorry for being honest about Spider-Man, but it's just because I'd hate for anyone to feel loss..." Jameson looked aside. "Especially he loss of a child."

"Sir?" Rita asked.

Jameson shook it off, "Just some blabber, let's keep partying!"

Elsewhere Stella was chatting with Jordan, the two enjoying a drink of punch.

"Real fancy party you have, Jordan," Stella said.

"I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not, it's pretty boring," Jordan said.

"Boring how? You have games for us, Paige is already getting the high score on the Dance Machine," Stella said, gesturing to the girl. "So, it seems like a success."

"Maybe," Jordan said, this worrying Stella.

"Hey, is something bothering you?" Stella asked. "You've been kind of, off, lately."

"Is it that noticeable?" Jordan rhetorically asked.

"If something's bothering you, tell me," Stella said. "We're friends after all."

"It's complicated," Jordan said. "Look, don't worry about me, just go have fun with your friends."

"You're one of my friends, Jordan," Stella reminded, placing a hand on her shoulder. "I won't make you talk but I hope you consider letting me know your problems."

"I'll keep that in mind," Jordan said, making her leave.

"Wonder what's with her?" Stella wondered.

Meanwhile Lincoln was eating a tamale, the boy relishing in the taste, "Your abuela's quite the cook Ronnie Anne. But that's no surprise."

"Yeah, there's one thing my grandmother specializes in, it's cooking," Ronnie Anne said.

"I meant to bring some of my dad's bao, but he was really busy," Sid said. "He's been helping my mom with some fundraising at the zoo to fix the damage caused by The Lizard."

"Oof, sorry to hear," Lincoln said.

"It's fine, we're doing well on fixing everything," Sid said. "I can only imagine how bad Royal Woods is regarding that."

"Yeah, we heard Kraven showed up to fight Spider-Man," Ronnie Anne said.

"He did, it was really weird," Lincoln said.

"Your friends said you got taken hostage too," Ronnie Anne said.

"Huh? Oh...right, I did," Lincoln said, thinking of a story on the fly. "Spider-Man got me to safety so I wasn't scared."

"Right, you weren't scared some freakishly strong hunter dude used you as bait for Spider-Man?" Ronnie Anne asked.

"It's alright to be scared Lincoln, I was terrified when The Lizard got me," Sid said. "Thank goodness for Spider-Man, but still."

"It's fine, really, don't worry about me," Lincoln reassured. "It was only for like a second anyway, Spider-Man was fast in saving me. I just went to hide for a bit until it was safe to come out."

"At least you're alright," Ronnie Anne said. "Honestly it's a miracle I was able to come. Not only was my mom worried, so was my grandma, my Uncle Carlos and my Aunt Frieda. Grandpa had my back at least, same with my dad."

"Things have gotten calmer," Lincoln said. "Not a lot of crime now."

"That's great, my family will be happy to know," Ronnie Anne said.

"The only other lasting impact was that rumor that Ronnie and I kissed Spider-Man or something," Sid said.

Lincoln's eyes widened in disbelief, "Wait, really? How!?"

"Blame Carlota, she posted a picture of Spider-Man on her social media page, and then some kids at school spread rumors," Ronnie Anne said. "I had to channel my old Royal Woods tough girl energy a few times."

"It was so weird, and a bummer," Sid said. "If I'm gonna be part of a rumor that I kissed Spider-Man, it would be better if I actually did kiss him."

"Wow..." Lincoln said.

"Sid, stuff like that makes it worse, be careful what you say," Ronnie Anne said. "I don't want rumors spread here too."

"Yeah, that would suck," Sid said.

"You know, I'm kind of surprised that Carl isn't here, he loves Spider-Man after all," Lincoln said, hoping to change the subject.

"Remember, both his parents were against him coming, dad at least helped convince my mom," Ronnie Anne said. "Sid's parents are chill, so both siblings came."

"Even though Ronnie Anne's abu-I mean grandma insisted I didn't come either," Sid said. "But we talked her into it."

Lincoln raised his eyebrow, "Why did Sid correct herself? Everyone calls Rosa as 'Abuela', even outside the family. Wait, Ronnie hasn't said 'Abuela' either, what's up with that? She always uses Spanish names."

"Something up, Linc?" Ronnie Anne asked.

"Nothing...so, how is your abuela?" Lincoln asked.

"She's fine, still doing her thing," Ronnie Anne said.

"What about your tio? Or your tia?" Lincoln asked.

Ronnie Anne looked confused, "They're fine too. Aunt Frieda's really gotten inspired by Spider-Man, she even makes art out of him."

"Right...and your abuelo?" Lincoln asked.

"...You're being weird," Ronnie Anne said.

As this was going on, Paige was dominating the game she was playing, "Ha! I dare someone try to beat my high score!"

Ronnie Anne turned to Lincoln, "Wanna put that chick in her place?"

"Uh, sure, let's..." Lincoln saw Jordan walking nearby, remembering that he was technically supposed to keep her company. "Later, I gotta check on Jordan. She looks unhappy."

"Huh?" Ronnie Anne turned to the girl as well, "Oh yeah, something's eating at her. You go ahead, Sid and I will take her down."

"Appreciate that," Lincoln said, making his leave.

Ronnie Anne turned to Sid, "Ready to play?"

"Yeah, but first...seems like Lincoln's catching on to how you address your family," Sid said.

"So? What's the big deal?" Ronnie Anne asked.

"You always spoke Spanish," Sid said. "And now-"

"Does it matter? Just because I'm from a Mexican family doesn't mean I have to say things in Spanish. I don't even know the language," Ronnie Anne said. "Your dad's Chinese and you never say things in Mandarin."

"I suppose..." Sid shook it off. "Yeah, it's not important. Let's focus on outdoing Paige's High Score."

"Now that's a language I can speak," Ronnie Anne said.

As Jordan went to grab some punch, she found herself with some unwanted company, "Ugh, who invited you?"

Standing nearby was Chandler, the smug boy grinning at Jordan, "Parents got an invite, so I came along. Happy to see me?"

"Hell no, now buzz off," Jordan said.

"Hey come on, I came all this way, why don't you and I have a little fun?" Chandler asked.

"Not in the mood, besides I thought you were into Stella nowadays," Jordan said.

"She's playing too hard to get," Chandler said. "You're a decent second. Stella has nice boobs, but I think you're developing well yourself."

"Don't be a creep, or I'll have you kicked out," Jordan said, trying to leave.

"Hey, come on," Chandler said, grabbing her arm.

"Don't touch me!" Jordan said, yanking herself away.

"Geez, why you gotta be so dramatic?" Chandler asked.

"Chandler!" Lincoln said, getting his attention. "Stop bothering Jordan."

"Take a hike, loser, this isn't any of your business," Chandler said.

"Well I'm making it my business," Lincoln warned. "Jordan's my friend. And my date for the party."

"Your date?" Chandler asked. "Please, I can get you dating that ugly bimbo Emma, but Jordan? She's way out of your league."

"Actually, you're the one who's out of my league," Jordan said.

"And Emma isn't ugly, she's a very attractive girl," Lincoln said.

"Yet, she dumped you," Chandler said. "Even ugly chicks don't like you."

"All this talk of ugly, you can't even get an attractive woman by your side," Lincoln taunted.

Chandler's eye twitched, "You're starting to piss me off a bit."

"Ahem!" Natasha said, getting his attention. "Chandler, was it? I suggest you behave, otherwise I will have to discuss the performance on your last test, in front of not only your parents, but everyone at this party."

"...Always the sexiest women that give me the most trouble," Chandler said, making his leave. "This isn't over, Lincoln Lame!"

"Really hate that scumbag," Jordan said, then turned to the boy. "Thanks Lincoln."

"Well you are my date," Lincoln said. "Plus I don't like seeing guys mistreat a lady."

"Lincoln is quite the gentleman," Natasha said. "You're quite lucky, Jordan."

"Thanks Miss Rodavich," Jordan said.

"I will leave you to yourselves, have fun," Natasha said, making her leave.

"Funny, she seems strict but kind of chill too," Jordan said. "Might be a Russian thing."

"I wouldn't know," Lincoln said. "I'm not familiar with Russian culture."

"I am, I have some family from there," Jordan said. "I'm not an expert but I know a thing or two."

"It's good to be multicultural," Lincoln said. "I'm still learning about Scotland, Clyde's learning about France. Even my dad and sister Luna are big into British culture too."

"Fascinating, can't say I'm gonna aim to be an expert but I try to know what I can," Jordan said.

"Makes sense," Lincoln said.

"By the way, did you bring your bathing suit?" Jordan asked.

"Yeah, why?" Lincoln asked.

"Come with me," Jordan said.

"Are we going to the pool?" Lincoln asked.

"We're going swimming for sure," Jordan said. "Let's hurry."

"Uh, alright," Lincoln said, following Jordan.

Meanwhile Natasha had introduced herself to Lincoln's parents. "Hello, you must be Lynn Loud Sr and his wife Rita."

"Yes, how may we help..." Lynn Sr took one look at Natasha and started gawking. "Wow..."

Lynn Sr stared for a moment, much to Rita's annoyance, "Uh, honey!?"

That snapped Lynn Sr out of it, the man feeling embarrassed, "Right, sorry. Yes, I am Lynn Loud Sr, I take it you're..."

"Nadia Rodavich, the assistant principal at Royal Woods Middle School," Natasha introduced.

"Well it's a pleasure to meet you, my lady," Lynn Sr introduced, bowing to the woman.

"My, aren't you the gentleman," Natasha said.

"He sure is..." an annoyed Rita commented. "It's nice to meet you ma'am. So you're at Lincoln's school."

"Yes, he is a very well-behaved boy, you two have done a great job raising him," Natasha said.

"Much appreciated, it's that Loud charm, gets it from his old man," Lynn Sr boasted.

"He's very intelligent too, he constantly gets Straight As, sometimes I feel like he may be too smart for our school," Natasha said.

"He is a smart boy, but he seems content with where he is now," Rita said. "His friends are all there after all."

"Well if he keeps this up, he might be good for a scholarship to any college in the country, including New York City University," Natasha said.

"He did mention wanting to go there," Lynn Sr said. "Do you think he has a chance?"

"He is very diligent, and is passing such knowledge onto another young girl, thanks to his tutoring," Natasha said.

"That's nice of him, Lincoln is always quick to help when he can," Rita said. "He's got ambition, but he tends to use it for mischievous deeds too."

"Yes, I have heard," Natasha said. "He is young though, and intelligence does not equal wisdom. Make sure you nurture not only his mind, but his heart too."

"Oh we will," Lynn Sr said. "Wow, another kid with great ambitions. You know, each of my daughters has an incredible passion."

"Really now?" Natasha asked.

"My oldest Lori is so dang good at golfing, she got a scholarship to Fairway University," Lynn Sr said.

"Our daughter Leni is quite the seamstress, he knows her ins and outs of a thread," Rita said.

"My daughter Luna is in a band, she gets her love of music from her old pops," Lynn Sr said. "Then there's Luan, she's quite the comedian."

"Lynn is very athletic, Lisa is intelligent, Lola does so many pageants, Lucy is quite the poet," Rita continued.

"And there's Lana, our budding mechanic, plumber and future Pit Crew for that racer Bobbie Fletcher," Lynn Sr said.

"All that's left is Lily, and she's already so talented at artwork," Rita said.

"Impressive, you two sound very proud of your kids," Natasha said.

"We are," Rita said, gesturing to her daughters. "Go say 'hello' if you'd like."

"Gladly," Natasha said, getting the attention of the kids and their friends, "Greetings Loud girls, I am Nadia Rodavich."

"She's an assistant Principal at Royal Woods Middle School," Lynn Sr said.

"Hi, nice to meet you," Leni said.

"Salutations, ma'am," Lisa greeted.

"Wow..." Luna said, gawking at Nadia. "That lady's got it going on."

"Ahem..." Sam said, getting her attention. "Hey, she's cute but you're taken."

"Oh, of course love," Luna nervously insisted. "You're the only lady for me."

Sam grumbled in annoyance as Luna turned away, the guitarist now turning to Luan. "Can you believe this?"

"Yes..." Luan said, gesturing to Benny, who was doing the same gawking.

Lola herself gawked a bit, at least for different reasons, "I can't wait until I'm that pretty."

"You already are though," Meli said.

"Aw, thanks dear," Lola said, patting her head. "But I meant more than just my face. I need the body too."

"Uh...right," Meli said.

"Thankfully I'm showing signs of being an early bloomer," Lola said. "By the time I reach 6th grade, I'll have quite the body. Just like Stella does now. Boys are gonna love me."

"Wow you're shallow," Lana said.

"Oh can it," Lola said.

Adelaide was still gleaming at the sight of Lola, "Her dress is so pretty. Just like she is."

"Lola knows how to turn heads for sure," Cricket said. "She's gonna be really popular among boys."

"No doubt," Adelaide said. "It's funny too. If Lola was a boy, I might have a crush on her, or him."

"Wow, really?" Cricket asked.

"Lola's not only pretty, she's stylish too," Adelaide said. "If she were a boy, I bet she'd be like a cute prince or something."

"I get what you mean," Cricket said. "If Lana was a boy, I might like her...or him. Someone good with tools is bound to be a keeper."

"Just our luck then," Adelaide said. "Oh well, some things just aren't mean to be. I just hope Winston appreciates just how lucky he is."

"You know, he's kind of like a prince too," Cricket said.

"Right...but Lola likes him and I won't get in the middle of that. Also I feel like he doesn't have that ambition Lola has," Adelaide said. "That's what I like about her? Not just the looks, but her personality."

"I actually get that, Skippy's nice but he doesn't have that grand mindset Lana has," Cricket said. "Winston and Skippy are definitely not boy versions of the twins, just boys with similar interests."

"Got that right," Adelaide said. "Wonder if Lincoln can be like a prince? Or if he's good with tools?"

"Maybe on both, but he's out of our league," Cricket said.

"One day, maybe one of us will get lucky," Adelaide said.

"Or both, I'm willing to share," Cricket said, albeit in a joking manner.

"That'd make you pretty dang generous then," Adelaide said, laughing with the girl. "Wonder what he's up to now?"

"He's with friends, just like us," Cricket said. "I also spotted some cookies, wanna get sweets?"

"Don't you diet?" Adelaide asked.

"It's my cheat day, now come on," Cricket said, leading Adelaide away.

Meanwhile with Lincoln, the boy changed into his bathing suit and t-shirt, was led to a secret jacuzzi that Jordan had in her backyard.

"When was this built?" Lincoln asked.

"Recently, I have it so that it looks like it's under construction, hence the tent around it," Jordan said, the girl wearing a robe. "It allows more privacy, and now we can be alone for a bit."

"Clever," Lincoln said. "So, ready to step in?"

"Sure," Jordan said, tossing her robe aside, revealing a one-piece bathing suit.

Lincoln couldn't help but notice her curves, this suit did wonders for her. "Oh...wow."

"Like it?" Jordan asked, posing in a way that pointed her butt toward him. "I just got it. It's brand new."

"Yeah...it looks nice," Lincoln nervously said, stepping inside. "Alright, let's test this pool out."

"You're gonna wear a shirt?" Jordan asked.

"Uh...yeah, I am," Lincoln said. "That's not weird, is it?"

"It's not, if you're not comfortable without it, that's fine," Jordan said, stepping in. "I want us both to feel comfortable."

"I appreciate that," Lincoln said, relaxing in the water. "This feels great, thanks for bringing me."

"Well you are my date," Jordan said, inching closer to the boy. "If anything, I feel happy that you came."

"Of course, we're friends after all," Lincoln said.

"Yeah...friends," Jordan said, inching next to him, getting the boy even more nervous. "Can I be honest with you about something?"

"Sure...what is it?" Lincoln asked, still feeling a bit awkward.

"I...hate my dad," Jordan said.

That took Lincoln by surprise, "You what?"

"He's such a pain in the ass, I can't do anything without him complaining," Jordan said. "It's just gotten so bad over the past year; he's always been kind of strict, but this is even worse than before."

"How strict?" Lincoln asked.

"He threw a fit when I got detention that one time, and hates when I break curfew," Jordan said. "I feel so trapped here sometimes, it just...it bothers me a lot."

"I'm sorry you're going through this," Lincoln said. "I wish I knew what I could do to help."

"You are helping," Jordan said, wrapping her arms around Lincoln, resting her head against him. "You're here with me."

Nervous as he was, Lincoln slowly but sure wrapped his arms around Jordan, pulling her into a reassuring hug. "I'm happy I can be here for you."

"Hm...gotta say, you feel so strong, it almost seems familiar," Jordan said, making the boy nervous. "Guess boys are just naturally strong."

"Yeah, I guess we are," Lincoln nervously said. Jordan turned to face Lincoln, gazing into his eyes a bit before slowly leaning in. Just before contact, Lincoln stopped her. "Wait...I thought this was a casual date?"

"Lincoln...I really need you right now," Jordan said. "I know it's risking our friendship, but right now, I don't need a friend. I need a lover."

"Uh..." Lincoln's face turned completely red. "Lover?"

"I'm not asking for you to commit to me, but I do hope you'll indulge me, just for now," Jordan said, climbing onto Lincoln, resting her knees by each leg, sitting on his lap and positioning her arms better to hug him close, her chest pressed against his.

"Gotta say, she's not as big as Stella but...whoa, what am I thinking with that part?" Lincoln drove away his impure thoughts of Stella, but still had the reality of Jordan. "She's not kidding though...oh boy, this feels strange."

"You like it, don't you? I can feel it," Jordan teased, getting Lincoln more red. "I don't blame you. You're welcome to feel however you want, like I said, I want us to be comfortable."

"I don't feel that comfortable, but for some reason, I can't resist, it's like my body is betraying my mind!" Lincoln tried once more to talk her out of this. "Jordan, this is a huge risk. Plus, our friends and family are out there, do you really want to start making out like this? Plus, are you that willing to risk the friendship we have?"

"I've already come this far, sorry Linky, but I want you," Jordan said.

"Jordan, we're too young to be doing this, we're still kids," Lincoln reminded. "This feels like something we should save for High School."

"I don't buy that. Even so, we're close enough to High School already," Jordan said. "I know I'm being selfish, and if you end up wanting to cut ties with me, I'll respect that. But sometimes in life, you have to take a risk. This isn't just me wanting quick fun, this is me wanting to show you, Lincoln, how much you mean to me. You've done a lot to help, I'm just returning the favor."

"You don't have to," Lincoln said.

"I know...I want to," Jordan was done talking and locked her mouth against Lincoln's, taking him into a deep kiss.

Despite his prior discomfort, Lincoln didn't want to turn Jordan away. He could feel the passion behind her kiss. He found himself returning that same passion, hugging her close to make out with her.

"I'll just let her have this then, I just hope we don't start doing anything we'll regret," Lincoln thought to himself, maintaining the kiss while subconsciously grabbing Jordan's butt, not that she minded.

"Naughty boy, Linky," Jordan mentally teased. "You really want my body? Don't you? Maybe I should let you have it."

Jordan rubbed herself against Lincoln, getting the boy much more excited, but also worried, "Well childhood, it was nice knowing you. I wanted to be a man but...I don't know if I can do this...should I? What if we get caught? Part of me wants to stop but the other part...ugh, just gotta throw away my worries and have fun. Whatever happens, happens, I'm already fighting for justice against powerful enemies that could destroy me, what's a little passion compared to that?"

"God...I just love this! Lincoln, you're such a man!" Jordan said, pressing her hands under his shirt. "Sorry daddy, but your little girl ain't so little. Screw your expectations of me, I'll do what I want here and now. Think you can control me? You wish you could! Gee, sure hope you don't become a grandpa too soon, not that I give a fuck how it would make you feel! Don't worry Linky, you won't get dragged down with me, this is my choice after all."

While Lincoln and Jordan were kissing in their private hot tub, danger still loomed nearby in the form of The Chameleon.

"Looks like Johnathan has his guests here, and they're all outside, chatting amongst themselves, oblivious to everything that's going to happen," Dimitri said to himself as he made his way into the private lab down below.

He searched around for the vials he was looking for, though found something impressive.

"Odd room, it even has a chamber. Has he been experimenting with something?" Dimitri looked through some research notes. "Ah, the OZ Formula, of course. Interesting work Johnathan." Dimitri continued his plans. "Once I get what I need, I'll be set once I find a good bidder. Maybe Wilson Fisk would love this, or H.Y.D.R.A. I will make myself very rich...and cure my unfortunate condition. It all starts, tonight."

Back above, Natasha was keeping a close eye on Johnathan and Ashley, the woman feeling very suspicious of the man. "What are you even up to these days, Rosato?"

Nearby Stella, who was munching on some chips, took note of Natasha. "Oh, Na...um, Nadia!"

"Hm? Stella?" Natasha said.

"Enjoying the party so far?" Stella asked.

"To the best that I can," Natasha said.

"I get what you mean, it was fine at first but after a few hours, it gets repetitive," Stella said. "My parents are here; would you like to meet them?"

"In a minute, I'm keeping an eye on Johnathan," Natasha said. "For special reasons of course."

"Oh, okay," Stella said. "Guess she's on Black Widow duty, but why is she concerned about Mr. Rosato?"

"Nice dress by the way," Natasha said.

"Oh this? Glad you like it," Stella said. "It's cute, and a bit slimming."

"Worried about your weight?" Natasha asked.

"No, it's something else," Stella said. "I don't know if you've noticed but...I'm kind of an early bloomer."

"Hm?" Natasha took a second to realize what she meant. "Worried about your figure? It's nothing to be ashamed of, it just means you're growing up."

"I kind of hate it, I don't want to be a grown woman just yet, but it seems like my body is giving me no choice," Stella said.

"Growing up is a wonderful thing," Natasha said. "That doesn't mean you have to change who you are now. You just need to take on a few more responsibilities."

"I get it, but still..." Stella said. "I'm tired of being oogled at. You understand, don't you? You have an amazing body."

"I do, and if the boys want to stare, let them," Natasha said. "I don't let it bother me, I even use it to my advantage."

"How?" Stella asked.

"Most men can't function if there's a beautiful woman in front of them. I'm not saying to act like a whore or anything, but don't feel like you have to hide a part of yourself," Natasha then rubbed the girl's head. "You're still you, Stella. Your physical appearance does not define your personality."

"Aw...you're the best, Nat," Stella said, hugging the woman. "I wish I could be as brave and confident as you are."

"You'll get there," Natasha said, still rubbing her head. "I will be there to help you if you need me."

"I'd like that, if you have time to at least," Stella said. "After all, I don't want to cut into Avengers business."

"Hey, helping a young woman find her place in the world is well worth my time," Natasha said.

"Say, why are you doing hero work anyway?" Stella asked, looking to make sure no one hears her. "I thought you were here as Nadia?"

"Officially, I cannot tell you," Natasha said. "But here's some advice, don't trust all appearances."

"Hm, sounds suspicious," Stella said.

"Stay close to me, if something bad happens, I want to make sure you're safe," Natasha said.

"Yes ma'am," Stella said, sticking close to Natasha.

Meanwhile Christina was sitting at the pool, next to Mollie, Emma and Chloe, the latter giggling as Clyde did a cannon ball dive that splashed his friends.

"Well the boys are having fun," Christina said.

"Yeah...say where's Lincoln?" Emma asked.

"Not sure, probably with Jordan, they're on a date," Christina said.

"Well isn't he the lucky one?" Chloe said.

"Yeah...real lucky," a slightly jealous Emma said.

"It's just for the party today, nothing more," Christina said.

"Right, of course," Emma replied.

As Liam swam, he noticed Lynn from the distance, "Wonder what Lynn's up to?"

"Go and see," Rusty said. "Check if she wants to swim."

"Think she will?" Liam asked.

"Can't hurt to ask," Zach said. "You might get lucky."

"Yeah...maybe," Liam said, the boy blushing a bit. He took a chance and called to the girl, "Howdy Lynn! Wanna join us!?"

"Huh?" Lynn noticed Liam waving her over. "Liam?"

"Water's mighty fine," Liam said.

"Sure is!" Clyde said. "If you have your bathing suit, come swim with us! Maybe you can teach us cool techniques."

"I'll think about it, right now I'm kind of busy," Lynn said, making her exit.

"Oh...that's fine," Liam said, the boy feeling a bit dejected.

"Liam?" Clyde tried getting his attention.

Liam shook it off, "Don't worry about it, ah got no regrets asking her."

"You'll get her one day," Rusty reassured.

"Yeah, just keep trying," Zach said.

"Yeah, sure," Liam said.

"Poor Liam, we should help him out," Mollie said.

"Good idea, I say that we-" Christina's suggestion was cut off when an alarm went off. "What in the world!?"

Johnathan turned to his house, the man growing nervous, "Dammit! Security!"

Guards ran inside the house as Natasha kept an eye out, "Stay close, but not too close Stella."

"Of course," Stella said, keeping an eye out. "Lincoln, Christina, I hope you brought your hero gear."

The siren was loud enough to attract Lincoln's attention, the boy stepping out of the tent and grumbling in annoyance, "What now?"

"What's happening?" A frustrated Jordan called from inside.

"Uh, stay there for a second, I'm gonna check on your parents," Lincoln said.

"I can go to," Jordan called. "Just let me-"

"Jordan, just stay, I'll send someone here but I would rather you be safe," Lincoln urged.

"...Alright Linky," Jordan said.

Lincoln had rushed to find his backpack, "Gotta find Christina and Stella! And Natasha too while I'm at it!"

He ran to the backyard where everyone seemed to be panicking, keeping an eye out until he found who he needed, "Christina!"

"Lincoln!" Christina ran to her friend, "Looks like trouble."

"Sure does, you got your gear?" Lincoln asked.

"I do," Christina said, holding her bag.

"Where are Stella and Natasha?" Lincoln asked.

"I saw them with each other a second ago, let's hurry and change," Christina said.

"On it," Lincoln said, unaware that Lana was nearby.

"Big bro?" Lana again had her suspicions, keeping an eye out for the two, unaware that her mother was trying to call her.

Inside, The Chameleon had grabbed what he needed, uncaring of the alarm as he made his way back upstairs. Guards went to surround him but he was quick to throw down a smoke bomb, blinding the guards as he effortlessly did away with them.

"Fools, this was all too easy," Dimitri said.

"Not for long!" Lincoln said, fully dressed in his Spider-Man gear, alongside Firestar Christina. Though one look at The Chameleon weirded him out. "Uh...where's your face?"

"You're looking at it," Dimitri said.

Lincoln glanced at Christina, then back at Dimitri, "Do I even wanna know?"

"Dimitri!" Natasha called, dressed in her own gear, glaring at the villain. "That's far enough!"

"Perfect, I can destroy you all in one fell swoop!" Dimitri said. "Face the wrath, of The Chameleon!"

Another battle was ahead, the heroes against a Master of Disguise.
