Helen's POV
With my heart racing, I ran along the dim hallway as Leoric's irate yells dwindled behind me. The stronghold was a maze with many twists and turns, but I never felt lost. I visualized a dim, luminous trail Scott's vision leading me through the shadowy stronghold.
"Please be safe, Scott," I muttered. I will come to get you.
Despite the quiet and icy walls around me, I persisted because I believed in Scott's goal. As two soldiers passed by, I heard footsteps reverberating close by and held my breath while hiding behind a stone pillar.
"Have you heard the blasts?" A nervous-sounding mumble came from one of them. "The fortress is being attacked by someone."
The other one snapped back, "We have to find the girl." "Leoric's commands. If we lose her...
