Her system had a host. Tian's system had a host. So how could there be a system without anyone controlling it?
Was that even possible? Could a system exist in this world without someone bound to it?
"Medeia, my ability isn't working here." Lucian walked toward her, looking slightly irritated as he tried and failed to pass through the invisible barrier. "I think there's some kind of anti-mutant defense built into it."
Medeia instinctively stepped back a little as Lucian moved closer.
