Captain Hunter pulled himself up from the floor when the kindly nurse flinched away from him, backing off from the strange glow in his hazel eye.
He staggered into the adjoining room and let the door slide shut behind him.
The moment it closed, he slumped back down onto the floor and began to gasp for air.
'What do I do? I don't know what to do!'
Casimir's kind, ruby-coloured eyes and bright smile flashed into the forefront of his mind.
But the next moment he saw his same eyes glassy and vacant, devoid of life and Kit felt his chest tighten in agony.
'No! I won't let her do this. I have to do something. I need help, I need someone to help me!'
He took a steadying breath and suddenly a quiet voice in his mind seemed to answer back:
'I want you to contact me if you need to.'
Kit sat up and immediately opened his commlink, pulling up the new ID that Noe had sent him.
