Torval's workshop buzzed with activity, the air thick with the smell of hot metal and tanned leather. The beast cores on the table glimmered like captive stars, their light pulsing softly in the shadows of the shelves. Sorey, eyes wide, stared at the sphere Torval held, its reddish glow reflecting on his face.
"What are those?" Sorey asked, his voice tinged with excitement.
"Beast cores," Torval replied, a mysterious smile on his lips.
"Beast cores?" Areyos, Kaiser, and Yoko echoed in unison, their eyes fixed on the spheres.
"Aren't those the weird things you got from the peacock king?" Yoko pointed out.
"Sounds like it, yeah," Areyos confirmed.
Seyca and Sorey exchanged curious glances. "What are they, exactly?" Seyca asked, leaning forward.
Torval set the sphere down and crossed his arms. "Elemental essences, rarely dropped by certain creatures when they die. They permanently boost the elements you share with the beast."
