Sakura Empire East Sea
June 20, 1942
11:30 AM
Lucas put his finger in his right ear and spoke, "Ma'am, target located."
Lucas and his group had found the location of Orochi, along with its massive fleet of Siren Ships, which varied from Carriers and Battleships to Destroyers. This formation of Siren ships, along with Orochi, dwarfed the size of deployed ships back in WW2, with a significant number of carriers and Battleships.
Orochi's size and the armada that accompanied it glowed like a cluster of Christmas lights on monitor screens, showcasing its immense scale. Orochi's ECM had previously concealed it from detection, but now that its location was visualized, time would tell if it could withstand modern weaponry.
On the deck of Orochi, Akagi swept her gaze across the horizon, staring down at Lucas and JS Maya with their accompanying escorts. The Azur Lane Shipgirls stared back at her.
"Ara~Ara, I didn't think you would find us so easily. Perhaps I should reward you~," Akagi spoke, her typical psychotic look evident.
"How did they find us so easily?" Kaga asked, preparing her paper cut-outs, her eyes locked on him.
Eugen chimed in, "I think we underestimated their detection and search capabilities significantly."
She then glanced at them, noticing the rigging of the two AEGIS Ships with their pronounced hexagonal shape imbedded at the superstructures. She deduced that those were radar systems, based on their size. However, it bothered her that these radars were fixed, unlike the traditional rotating ones she knew, similar to the towering radar sites erected by the Royal Navy to detect incoming aircraft attacking London.
She pondered how such radars could be equipped on both ships without needing a traditional rotating mechanism. 'This is bad,' her thoughts screamed danger.
After confirming Orochi's and its fleet's location, Lucas relayed the information back to the Task Force.
At the Task Force, CVN-80 USS Enterprise,
Inside the CIC of the Aircraft Carrier Enterprise, Enterprise-80 analyzed the report from Cortana, the onboard A.I., which had calculated the synchronized attack needed to break the Force Field.
Cortana then spoke, "According to the data Essex sent us, and William's research reports on the Siren Force Field, Orochi's Force Field is similar to every Elite-Siren's Force Field, just on a larger scale. To break it, we need to synchronize our attack simultaneously. If the Force Field glitches, that's a sign it's weakening. We only have a second before the Force Field strengthens itself, and we have to repeat the entire bombing run... again."
"So, we only have one chance to break its Force Field then?" Enterprise-80 said.
"Yes," Cortana replied.
"One chance... huh..." Queen Elizabeth murmured, her expression darkening at their bleak situation.
"Let's not waste it then."
~Back to Orochi~
"Yes, Ma'am. Target locked on my radar," Lucas radioed, preparing his fire control and tracking radar as he linked up with the flying AWACS in the vicinity.
Orochi's Main Guns Turned in their direction, the three guns lit up, charging for the attack. Purple light emerged from the barrel ends, as laser beams raced towards them, vaporizing the ocean's surface as they passed through it.
"Ladies! Prepare for the incoming attack!" Lucas shouted, urging everyone to move out of the way to evade Orochi's Main Cannons.
Hood, Illustrious, Repulse, and Renown moved away from the incoming attack, all connected via the Aegis destroyer's data link.
The concentrated beams from Orochi's forward super-firing arc left trails of hot smoke and boiling water, vaporizing anything in their path. That concentrated fire could melt or vaporize them out of existence, given its power.
Siren Ships also opened fire as Orochi's Main Guns cooled down from the recent attack. Lucas and JS Maya returned fire with their Anti-Ship Missiles.
Lucas fired his M202 FLASH at a Siren Ship, the munition materializing into a Naval Strike Missile mid-air and hitting the target, setting it ablaze with its Thickened Pyrophoric Agent Warhead.
JS Maya also fired her Type 17 Anti-Ship Missiles at another Siren Ship, her MK-41 Naval and VLS spewing fire as hostilities commenced. She drew her two Katanas, preparing for close combat with the Sirens.
Hood, Repulse, and Renown opened fire in a full broadside with their 15-inch guns at the Siren ships. They sailed closer to the two Aegis destroyers, following their lead, as per the information fed to them by the Aegis Ships.
The Siren Carriers escorting Orochi launched Siren Planes to attack them. Illustrious launched interceptor planes to counter the incoming Siren planes.
JS Maya and Lucas opened up with their CLaWS (Close-in Laser Weapon System) to shoot down Siren Planes. The concentrated heated rays of the CLaWS melted the metal and burned the electronics of the Siren Planes.
Hood, Renown, and Repulse engaged the escort ships in a gun duel with their 15-Inch Guns, supported by Illustrious launching her Planes.
On the deck of Orochi, Shinano's fox-ears twitched at the sound of Propeller Planes. She slowly woke up and looked around. Above, Spitfires and Siren planes engaged in a dogfight. She got up and saw Spitfires in the sky, then swept her gaze to the horizon and saw a Royal Navy carrier. She got up, swiftly walked to the deck's edge, jumped off, and activated her rigging.
Z-23 spoke with concern, "Umm... Miss Shinano..."
Kaga spoke, "Let her be. Lady Shinano's job is to remove any pests in Orochi's way."
Shinano activated her rigging and engaged Illustrious in a carrier-versus-carrier battle, with the two Heavily (THICC) Armored Carriers dropping bombs on each other.
The F/A-18 Hornets reached the skies to reinforce Lucas's group with air support. The Hornets dropped Quicksink Bombs on the Queens (Siren Carriers) and Rooks (Siren Battleships), splitting the Siren ships in half with single bomb hits.
Seeing the outmatched Siren Planes, Orochi turned its three main guns upward to shoot down the aerial threats wreaking havoc on the Siren Fleet. Orochi's AA Guns swiveled up to cover the sky with raining laser and lead.
This left Lucas, JS Maya, and the rest to deal with the escort ships protecting Orochi. Lucas and JS Maya launched Tomahawk Strikes on Siren Carriers to hinder their efforts to reinforce the skies with Siren Planes.
~At Orochi's Deck~
"So, that's the bomb she uses to destroy these heavily armored Siren Ships. Huh," Graf Zeppelin commented, watching the Siren Ships split in half as Hornets flew above unchallenged.
Not wanting to be left out, Graf Zeppelin launched her own fighters, Navalized Me 262s armed with the latest Iron Blood Weaponry.
The squadron of her Me 262s soared into the sky, intending to pounce on the Hornets flying above. The Hornets switched from ASuW to AAW mode with a flick of a switch.
The Me 262s were shredded by the wheezing M61 Vulcan Cannons mounted on the Hornets' noses and formidable AIM-9X Infrared Missiles.
The Me 262 squadron was wrecked the moment the Hornets turned their noses towards them. Dogfights were abandoned, as missiles effectively hindered close-range combat.
Graf Zeppelin's eyes widened at the reality of the aerial warfare she witnessed. Long-range combat was the preferred method in the air. Like the Siren planes, her Me 262s were outmatched by the 4th++ generation aircraft.
"What the! How? With that load-out, it's impossible to even conduct a battle," she exclaimed, seeing the Hornets nonchalantly win an aerial battle with bombs still attached to their underbellies and wings.
"They didn't even break into formation, yet they dominated the sky – what kind of aerial warfare are they engaged in?" Eugen asked, questioning the fundamentals of Mid-21st Century US Navy Aerial Warfare.
"How is that even possible?" Z-23 exclaimed, finding no logic in what she saw.
Akagi and Kaga began to realize the power of this Carrier, watching the carnage of the Siren Ships being obliterated by futuristic planes from the future.
"My~My, are you getting scared by watching the scenery?" Eugen spoke in her typical teasing voice, watching the two fox-women have their realizations.
Kaga, annoyed by Eugen's teasing, felt her forehead vein pop with annoyance. "Why... you..."
Kaga summoned a few paper cut-outs to throw at Eugen, but Akagi stopped her from starting a fight.
"That's enough, Kaga. She's not our enemy. We have an enemy from Azur Lane that needs to be destroyed."
"H-Hai... Nee-sama," Kaga gave up her attempt to fight Eugen, as Eugen chuckled.
Akagi then walked towards the aft of Orochi, where a missile launcher similar to the American Mk-13 Missile Launcher was being erected and swiveling upward, being reloaded by an onboard magazine.
Akagi turned to face everyone, as the launcher behind her was being reloaded. "Let's show them the real power that the Sakura Empire possesses."
Orochi's aft was being loaded with a missile similar to a SCUD missile. Intricate mechanisms moved the missile from the onboard magazine to the launcher.
"V-2 Rocket!" Z-23 and Z-1 yelled in surprise, seeing the missile being loaded onto the launcher.
Odin had a genuine surprise on her face, seeing one of Iron Blood's top-secret projects appear before her. "How?" was the only word she could utter.
"How did they..." Graf Zeppelin muttered in disbelief, seeing a V-2 Rocket equivalent.
Roon pointed her MG-42 at Akagi. "What is the meaning of this?"
"Akagi, I think you might have some explaining to do about this," Eugen remarked, surprised by the secret development of a V-2 Rocket equivalent.
Iron Blood Scientists claimed that rocket science was the ultimate weapon for combating the Sirens on the high seas. Half of the military funding went into rocket research, alongside other wonder weapons. Seeing this Massive Rocket was like a slap in the face for them. For a nation that had put in the effort to field one in active service, it was an accomplishment. Now, the Sakura Empire had its own rocket, massive and superior to theirs, which was unacceptable.
Akagi laughed sadistically, seeing the reactions of her Iron Blood allies. "You thought you're the only ones researching rocket science? The Sakura Empire has also been researching rocket science on its own... silently... hahahaha."
"Verdammt... Akagi!" Eugen muttered under her breath.
"Why you... I'll never forgive you for humiliating Iron Blood!" Roon readied her rigging, her Shark preparing its jaws to bite a chunk out of Akagi.
Kaga positioned herself between Roon and Akagi, facing Roon, paper cut-outs ready in her hands. "I won't let you get near her." The two stared at each other for a moment.
Eugen dismissively stopped Roon from lunging an attack at Akagi. "That's enough, Roon. Let her be. I already have what we needed," she said, tapping a section of her pocket.
-Does she even have a pocket?-
Roon lowered her MG-42 and her shark rigging, standing down. "Jawohl."
"That's enough, Kaga-chan," Akagi said, resting her right arm on Kaga's left shoulder.
"Hai, Nee-sama," Kaga complied, lowering her paper cut-outs.
After the tension calmed down, Akagi faced the Iron Blood Shipgirls and spoke, "No need to raise weapons now then." She paused dramatically, looking at their reactions.
"Let's watch the show of power – and let the world know what power Orochi possesses and what salvation it could bring to the world!"
"Salvation? I don't think so," Eugen interjected Akagi's thoughts and philosophy.
Then, as soon as Akagi said Orochi's name, the missile lit up its boosters, blowing a gust of wind that made every Iron Blood Shipgirls cover their eyes from the flying dust and smoke from the massive rocket's boosters.
Eugen and Graf Zeppelin watched the entire launch sequence without flinching, showing no surprise, as they had seen V-2 Rocket launches many times.
The massive rocket flew into the sky towards the Task Force's location, arcing like a meteor. Royal Navy and Iron Blood Shipgirls who hadn't seen such a massive rocket launch before had mixed reactions. One was amazement, and the other was fear of the massive weapon soaring unopposed.
Illustrious and Shinano both stopped their engagement, witnessing the rocket launch of a weapon capable of destroying its target from afar.
Illustrious covered her mouth in total despair, seeing the super weapon similar to Iron Blood's Rocket Weapon. "No. It can't be."
"...Orochi..." Shinano muttered to herself.
"A Ballistic Missile? Are you kidding me!" Lucas exclaimed, looking up.
Lucas's Aegis Combat System detected the threat, calculated the missile's ballistic trajectory, and estimated the fallout if it was armed with a nuke.
"The missile's trajectory... it's heading towards the Task Force's location!" JS Maya yelled.
He then radioed the Task Force, "Enterprise! Orochi launched a Ballistic Missile, - repeat, Orochi launched a Ballistic Missile!"
USS Enterprise CNV-80
The entire CIC was a buzz of chaos as the loitering AWACS and the two AEGIS Ships detected a potential ballistic missile launched from the surface into the air. Their primary concern was whether the weapon was armed with a nuclear warhead.
If so, it would complicate things for them. The existence of nuclear weapons in this world could be considered a disastrous event. If nuclear weapons fell into Crimson Axis hands, it would be catastrophic, and if they fell into the Sirens' hands... the consequences were palpable and could lead to humanity's extinction.
At the radar panel of the BMD AEGIS, Manjuus excessively tapped keys, calculating the missile's exact ballistic trajectory.
Everyone in the CIC room was on edge, with only a small amount of time before interception. They were also unsure if the missile carried nuclear warheads.
Meowfficers were frantic with their movements, waiting for confirmation of the missile's trajectory.
"Missile trajectory confirmed, ballistic arc destination..." he paused eyes squinting, "Its heading at us!" the radar operator shouted in panic.
At the conformation, Enterprise-80 quickly gave the order for interception. "Intercept it, now!"
The transmission was quickly relayed to the two AEGIS Ships for immediate interception of the threat above the stratosphere.
Without hesitation, USS Jack H. Lucas fired an SM-6 Ballistic Missile interceptor from one of its VLS cells.
The SM-6 Missile screeched like a banshee as it raced upward to intercept the Siren Missile in the sky. The SM-6 got closer and closer, then... it successfully intercepted the Siren missile in Earth's atmosphere. Even with the noon sun shimmering its light below, the explosion in the stratosphere was visible from the surface.
Thankfully, the missile was only armed with high explosives, not a nuclear warhead. Though... the explosion was massive, as the AWACS loitering above estimated the kiloton yield of TNT.
Both JS Maya and Lucas breathed a sigh of relief that the missile Orochi fired was not armed with nukes.
"Thank God. It's not armed with a nuke," he exclaimed, breathing heavily from the tense moment.
"Yeah, you're right. I don't know what Miss Enterprise's response would be if it was armed with nukes," JS Maya said, concerned about nuclear retaliation.
"She will respond in kind, I guess..." Lucas said, trailing off.
He then radioed the Task Force after the successful interception. "Ballistic Missile successfully intercepted, I repeat – Ballistic Missile successfully intercepted."
On the decks of Orochi, both Akagi and Kaga were surprised by his capabilities. Eugen and the other Iron Blood shipgirls were slightly surprised, knowing how advanced these Modern Kansens were, but their expression was concerned about how a small missile could intercept a massive rocket with one hit.
Eugen broke her daze first, returning her attention to him. She clenched her fist. "A mere Destroyer did that," she said, her voice quivering.
"Maybe I should have invested my attention in you, Lucas. You've shown us that you're exceptional. Perhaps there's still a chance of persuading you," she said, her voice laced with seduction.
Z-23 heard her and spoke, "Oh, please, can you be more serious at a time like this, Eugen?"
"Don't worry, Nimi. Just thinking about what could work out this time," Eugen playfully said.
Akagi and Kaga's mouths gaped as they reacted to the successful missile interception.
"Ha-How?" Akagi muttered in disbelief.
"Did we really... underestimate their capabilities?" Kaga asked.
"Don't let that get to you, Kaga-chan. We still have Orochi," Akagi said, a hint of panic in her voice.
The interception might have been stunning for the Axis, but they still had Orochi on their side. The battle could still tip in their favor if they closed the distance. The number of escort ships might have been reduced, but in overall size and power, they had the upper hand.
And that upper hand could still be in danger. Underneath Orochi's Fleet of Siren Ships, an American Next-Generation Submarine lurked beneath the waves, undetected and waiting for orders to strike while it lurked beneath its helpless prey.
USS Denver SSN-856 lurked beneath, where the sun never shone, at the deepest depth that even a Siren Submarine couldn't reach.
The elongated predator, shaped like an elongated serpent below, possessed unknown capabilities and firepower. Above the surface, its prey sailed unaware of the danger lurking below.
At the Submarine's Control Room, Manjuus and Meowfficers were on edge at their stations, waiting for orders to strike.
Denver-856, at her station, radioed, "This is SSN-856 USS Denver. I have the designated position, waiting for your orders, Ma'am."
CIC, CVN-80 USS Enterprise. Enterprise-80 glanced at the two Royal Navy shipgirls. Queen Elizabeth and Warspite nodded in unison for the strike. Enterprise-80 pressed a button and spoke into the radio.
"This is USS Enterprise, mission report received. Weapons free, open fire."
USS Denver SSN-856 opened its four Torpedo Tubes positioned at the bow. The four hatches of each torpedo tube opened in preparation, as the tubes were loaded.
"Fire," she gave the order.
High-pressure air pushed the four MK-48 Heavyweight Torpedoes out of the Torpedo Tubes. Bubbles emerged from the torpedo tubes, and the four Mk-48 Torpedoes sped towards Orochi like seeking predators.
The four Torpedoes hit the Force Field underwater and exploded with a yield of 5,000-lbs of explosives under the hull. The explosion shocked the massive Siren Ship, causing its defenses to flicker as they absorbed the underwater blast.
On the deck of Orochi, Akagi, Kaga, and the rest of the Iron Blood Shipgirls fell from the violent shaking of the deck.
Massive plumes of seawater rose on both sides of Orochi and rained over them, as the entire ship shook like an earthquake. The rocket at the aft of the ship fell off the launcher as the ship shook violently.
Akagi moved out of the way as a massive rocket almost trampled her. "That... was... close..." she said, panting.
Graf Zeppelin, on her knees, exclaimed, "Enemy attack! But where?"
"Submarine attack!" Z-23 shouted.
"Nee-sama, look!" Kaga pointed at the glitching Force Field.
"Do not worry that much, Kaga-chan. It was nothing," Akagi remarked, eyeing the glitching shield.
CGN-76 USS Bunker Hill
The Nuclear Cruiser's VLS, housing the Prompt Strike Missile, opened, revealing the sealed Hypersonic Missile. At Enterprise-80's order, the exhaust of the VLS Cells lit up as the hypersonic missile broke the seal, flew from its compartment, and headed straight to Orochi's location at an unmatched speed.
USS Enterprise F/A-25 Hellcat was cruising at Mach 2. The missile bay opened, revealing the US Navy Halo Hypersonic Missile. At the order given, the Halo Hypersonic Missile was released from the racks, and the booster from the rear lit up, propelling it at hypersonic speed.
The two Hypersonic Missiles raced to Orochi's location, guided by the AWACS plane and Lucas's AN/SPY-6 Radar. Above the sky, the two hypersonic missiles glimmered like erratic shooting stars.
Eugen, standing on her feet, noticed the two blinking lights from afar, visible even with the sun still up. Akagi looked up at where Eugen was looking.
"What is that... Eugen?" she asked, concerned about the twinkling lights.
"I don't know," Eugen replied, without breaking her gaze from the two twinkling lights.
A few moments after she spoke, the two twinkling lights slammed into Orochi's glitching Force Field, breaking it like piercing arrows. The Halo Hypersonic Missile struck Orochi's forward magazine, the layer of thick armor felt like butter as the hypersonic missile cut through it like a hot knife.
The Prompt Strike Hypersonic Missile hit the middle of the ship, where Orochi's propulsion plant was located. The Hypersonic Missile embedded itself in the ship's center.
*Insert MRIV (Multiple Independent Re-entry Vehicle) stock footage*
Akagi, Kaga, Eugen, and Z-23 flinched as the Force Field broke like window glass, their gaze fixed on where the two hypersonic missiles hit.
"What the heck was that!" Z-1 exclaimed in surprise.
A few seconds passed, and Orochi suddenly exploded. The internal explosion consumed the entire ship, ripping through its defenses and splitting it in half. The explosion originated from the front bow, where the ammunition was stored, and the middle, where the ship's propulsion was positioned. The combined explosions literally split the ship from the internal pressure.
Akagi, Kaga, Eugen, Z-23, and the rest of the Iron Blood Shipgirls were thrown off the deck by the massive explosion and subsequent shockwave, landing in the ocean. Some faced the surface, while others landed on their feet.
They all floated on the ocean's surface with their rigging active, witnessing the destruction of the most powerful weapon the Sakura Empire had built to fight the Sirens, now ablaze and wrecked beyond recognition.
Orochi's hull burned in an inferno and split in half from the internal explosion. The Massive Siren Ship slowly sank into the waves, along with all its weapons and planes.
Akagi's expression was full of fury and rage as she watched her 'hopes' of reviving her sister vanish. Her eyes began to tear up slowly as all her hard work evaporated into thin air. She cried as never before, releasing all her emotions, unable to stop the destruction of her hopes and dreams.
Kaga stood up slowly, looking at the devastation. She saw Akagi crying and clenched her fist, her face filled with fury. "Nee-sama...?"
She sailed closer to comfort Akagi, who cried on her shoulders, releasing all her emotions.
Eugen held her forehead, her head spinning from dizziness. She was the closest to the explosion and shockwave. "What happened...?"
Z-23, bruised from the explosion, spoke, "Orochi is gone... we have no weapon that will challenge Azur Lane now."
"Thanks for stating the fucking obvious," Graf Zeppelin said in a cynical voice, fixing her torn dress.
Orochi's disappearance gave the F/A-18 Hornets an opportunity to Drop Laser-Guided 1000lb Bombs on the Siren Ships below.
Akagi, Kaga, Eugen, Z-23, Graf Zeppelin, Roon, Odin, and Z-1 could only watch as the entire Siren Fleet was bombed into oblivion by the unopposed Hornets above.
Raining guided bombs and air-to-air missiles wrecked the Sirens on their heels. Peregrine Missiles, small in size and range, were used in greater numbers by the Hornets rather than AMRAAMs and JATMs.
"What happened...?" Shinano asked, breaking off from her fight with Illustrious upon hearing the loud explosion.
"Orochi is gone... Lady Musashi..." Kaga replied. Kaga held Akagi, comforting her half-sister, who cried over the loss of her dreams of reviving Amagi.
Shinano gave an order. "Everyone... let's regroup with Musashi's fleet to continue the fight. Orochi is gone, now let's move on. Staying here will not change anything," she said, her typical drowsy demeanor replaced by a sense of urgency.
Odin, being observant, detected something on her radar and summoned lightning to intercept the incoming attack. The Spitfire exploded above them, hit by her lightning.
"We have been found by the enemy," she bellowed, catching their attention.
"You guys need to go and regroup with Musashi's fleet. We'll handle them," Eugen said, protecting the Sakurans as they retreated. She raised her Turret Riggings, pointing them in the direction from which the Spitfire came.
Kaga and Shinano nodded in acknowledgment of their effort to give them time. "Alright, let's get moving," Shinano remarked.
"Hold it! Surrender and raise your hands, or we will open fire!"
They all looked in the direction of the voice. It was Lucas, pointing his M27 IAR at them, his finger on the trigger, and all his cannons, ranging from 125mm to .50cal., and the MK-45 Naval Gun also pointing at them.
Beside him was JS Maya, her Katanas pointed at them, and beside her were Hood, Renown, and Repulse, their swords also pointed at them. Illustrious was behind them as well.
Iron Blood Shipgirls also raised the turrets of their Riggings, creating a tense standoff between the opposing sides. It wasn't in a desert, but the atmosphere of a cowboy standoff hung in the air, with each gaze a silent challenge.
Kaga gritted her teeth. "You'll pay for what you did to Akagi!" she shouted, her anger visible on her face, consumed by fury and rage. She raised her masks into the air, and the masks were consumed by blue flames.
"Kitsunebi!"
She shouted the incantation. The blue flames engulfing the masks grew larger and larger until a Giant White Fox materialized from the blue flames. Its massive figure towered over everyone like an ant on its teeth.
Kaga, Akagi, and Shinano then hopped onto the Giant White Fox. The fox, without saying what the fox say, it leaped over Lucas, JS Maya, and the Royal Navy shipgirls, and flew away, its feet kicking the air for momentum.
"WHOA! WHOA! WOAH...!" Lucas yelled as he opened fire at the belly of the Giant White Fox.
JS Maya opened fire with her two Phalanx CIWS at the belly of the Giant White Fox as it passed over them. The Royal Navy Shipgirls avoided the claws of the Giant Fox as it flew.
The Giant Fox used all its strength to fly faster than the A6M Zero's top speed. Kaga and Akagi clung to the fox's fur. Shinano was sleeping, conserving her energy for the next battle.
Lucas reported on the comms, his voice frantic and urgent. "The target is getting away with... a... Giant White Fox with two wooden flight... decks...?" He was lost for words. ".... We are in pursuit."
He then summoned his MH-60 Seahawk and hopped onto the side, and it flew in pursuit of the Giant White Fox.
"It's getting away!"
JS Maya summoned her own Seahawk, hopped in, and the rest of the Royal Navy Shipgirls followed suit, giving chase to their target.
"I won't let you get away!" Roon raised her MG-42 and pointed it at the pursuing Seahawks as she shouted, but a line of bullets cut her trails.
"Scheisse." She cursed and dodged the line of bullets. The hail of bullets cut a line on the ocean's surface as they followed her, until her shark rigging was hit with multiple bullet holes.
"Damn you!" she yelled in anger. No one in her life had targeted her as such. She raised her head, her eyes darting towards the direction the hail of bullets came from.
The others followed her gaze and looked in the direction of Roon's murderous eyes. They saw a single figure standing on one of the burning wrecks of a Siren Ship. On the deck was a 'Benson Class Destroyer,' if they remembered correctly, but her blocky rigging and superstructure, similar to the Modern Kansens, rang alarm bells. Her red eyes overlooked them with a mockery of their existence, and the aura she exuded matched that of their psychotic friend.
"This is Laffey. I got this," she said, her hand at her right earpiece, her voice sounded in monotone.
The battle that everyone had anticipated had arrived. The Modern Kansens' psychopath and Iron Blood's psychopath had crossed paths in what could be called the battle of the crazies.
Laffey-200, with her M134 Minigun proudly sponsored by General Electric (because it spins to make things disappear).
Roon, with her MG-42, proudly representing the Mustache-Man's buzz-saw.
Both psychopaths stared at one another, as if a mutual understanding formed in the language of murder, each proudly presenting their Nation's Death Machine with a glee that even their colleagues questioned such ecstasy.
