In the territory of the Mo Clan, nestled amidst the mountains.

As they spoke, a small flying vessel descended onto a stone platform atop Mo Mountain. Behind the platform, a stone staircase meandered up the mountain, partially hidden by lush greenery. At the top, a classical pavilion emerged faintly from between the trees, exuding an ancient charm.

On either side of the platform's cliff, figures stood in clusters. Even the branches of distant trees were occupied by people, their curious and scrutinizing gazes fixed on the descending flying vessel.

When Lin Zhentian disembarked from the vessel, two young figures at the forefront of the crowd quickly stepped forward.

"Elder Lin."

The pair, a man and a woman, bowed respectfully to Lin Zhentian.

"It's Mo Tao and Mo Feng," Lin Zhentian said with a smile, nodding in acknowledgment.

Standing behind Lin Zhentian, Mo Yu's heart stirred. Since the Mo Clan of Yan City was annihilated, this was his first time encountering members of the same surname.

With that thought, Mo Yu glanced at the young man first. He had a tall and slightly stocky build, with short hair and long arms. A gentle smile adorned his slightly round face, and his unhurried demeanor gave off a simple, honest vibe.

The young woman, in contrast, stood out much more.

She was tall, with her long hair tied in a high ponytail. Her features were refined, particularly her prominent and sculpted nose, which added sharpness and elegance to her face. Her slender waist was accentuated by a red sash, giving her a strong and confident appearance.

As Mo Yu observed the two, they too shifted their focus from Lin Zhentian to him.

Both Mo Tao and Mo Feng's eyes flashed with amazement.

The young man before them had a tall, upright figure, with striking silver eyes that set him apart. His face was extraordinarily handsome, a beauty that could rival the finest among the Lei Clan's elites.

His silver pupils were calm and bright, exuding a composed demeanor that didn't waver even upon arriving in the prestigious Lei Realm.

Beside Mo Yu stood Xiao Yixian and Qing Lin, whose appearances naturally caught the attention of the two siblings. Both women possessed exceptional beauty and unique temperaments, making even Mo Feng feel a twinge of inferiority.

The fact that such stunning women accompanied Mo Yu left the siblings astonished.

After a moment of observation, the young man, Mo Tao, approached Mo Yu with a curious smile. He leaned in slightly and said, "Black Thunder Captain, Mo Yu?"

Mo Yu nodded calmly.

Seeing this, Mo Tao's eyes lit up with excitement, and he suddenly clasped his hands in salute, his voice filled with joy.

"Black Thunder Captain, you've finally returned to the Lei Realm! Our Mo Clan has been awaiting this day for so long!"

Even though Mo Yu had mentally prepared himself, his brow still twitched slightly at this overly enthusiastic greeting.

From Mo Tao's tone, it was clear the Mo Clan's situation had become quite dire.

Faced with Mo Tao's boundless enthusiasm, Mo Yu could only pull him up with a faint smile. "We're all family. Just call me Mo Yu from now on."

"That won't do!" Mo Tao shook his head firmly. "The Lei Clan values hierarchy above all. As the Black Thunder Captain, your status in the Mo Clan is second only to the clan leader and a few elders. Breaking protocol is unacceptable."

At this point, Mo Feng stepped forward, her sharp eyes briefly scanning Mo Yu before speaking in a calm tone. "The elders of the clan have placed all their hopes on you. Let's see if you can live up to their expectations.

Since you're here now, do your best for the Mo Clan. My name is Mo Feng. If you encounter any trouble within the clan, feel free to let me know, and I'll assist you."

Mo Tao immediately chimed in with a chuckle, "Sister Feng is quite close to Miss Fei'er. She has considerable influence within the Lei Clan. Black Thunder Captain, if you ever need anything, just look for Sister Feng."

As he spoke, Mo Tao winked at Mo Yu, a sly grin on his face. After all, Mo Yu's engagement to Lei Fei'er was no secret within the clan.

Mo Feng, being Lei Fei'er's closest confidant, was undoubtedly the best source of insight into her.

Hearing this, Mo Yu's gaze shifted to Mo Feng, surprise flashing in his eyes. He hadn't expected her to have such a connection with his fiancée.

"Mind your tongue," Mo Feng snapped, glaring at Mo Tao. When he raised his hands in mock surrender, she turned to Mo Yu and sighed softly. "Fei'er and I often talk about you during our conversations.

To be honest, Fei'er initially opposed this marriage. Not because of you personally, but because of her pride. She doesn't like being bound by an arranged marriage.

But her parents' wishes and the patriach's orders left her no choice. I hope you can treat her well in the future."

Mo Yu nodded slightly but refrained from commenting further.

He and Lei Fei'er weren't familiar with each other. How their relationship would develop was something that required time and patience, and it wasn't a matter he could discuss with outsiders.

"All right, enough chatter. My old friend must be waiting for Mo Yu. Let's not keep him waiting any longer," Lin Zhentian said with a chuckle, stroking his beard.

"Indeed, the clan leader has been expecting you." Mo Feng and Mo Tao exchanged glances and nodded.

Mo Feng then scanned the surrounding crowd, her gaze sharp as she barked, "You all see this? This is the Black Thunder Captain, Mo Yu.

From now on, he's part of the Mo Clan. Keep your eyes open and remember to show him the respect he deserves!"

Her words prompted murmurs of acknowledgment from the onlookers. The gazes fixed on Mo Yu gradually withdrew, and the crowd dispersed, though faint whispers lingered in the air.

"So that's the Black Thunder Captain?"

"Yes. Rumor has it that the patriach discovered him in the northwest region. He's supposedly a prodigy from the exiled branch."

"An exiled branch? Who would've thought that after so many years, a true genius would emerge from them. It's unbelievable."

"It really is. Our Mo Clan has been in steady decline and is on the verge of losing its status as one of the four major clans. Let's hope the Black Thunder Captain can bring us back to glory."

Mo Feng glanced at Mo Yu and said, "Black Thunder Captain, our Mo Clan has many members. Spend more time on Mo Mountain, and you'll become familiar with them."

Mo Yu smiled faintly and replied, "I will."

As they spoke, the group moved deeper into the depths of Mo Mountain.

Walking along the stone steps for a few minutes, they eventually reached the top, where Mo Yu saw an ancient hall-like pavilion emerge ahead. The grand hall was surrounded by water on three sides, with a small bluestone path leading to it, shaded by clusters of greenery.

Arriving in front of the ancestral hall, Lin Zhentian stepped forward and called out loudly, "Old friend, I've brought the Black Thunder Captain."

"Come in." An elderly voice emanated from within the grand hall, carrying a weighty steadiness akin to a towering mountain, its aura deep and profound.

Lin Zhentian pushed the doors open, allowing light to filter through the cracks and illuminate the hall.

Mo Yu's gaze instinctively followed the light and landed inside.

The interior of the grand hall was quite spacious, and there were numerous figures seated within, each emanating an extraordinary presence.

Mo Yu's eyes were immediately drawn to the main seat of the hall, where an elderly figure, frail and trembling, slowly opened his eyes.

The old man's gaze turned toward the young man standing at the door, bathed in sunlight.

Sensing the powerful aura within Mo Yu and the familiar bloodline resonance, the elder murmured softly under his breath:

"Heaven has not forsaken the Mo Clan..."

When the elderly man rose to his feet, everyone in the hall was visibly startled. The two middle-aged men seated beside him exchanged glances.

The man on the left had a slightly plump figure, a round face, and a warm smile that gave him the appearance of a kindly merchant.

The man on the right had a robust build, radiating a fierce and domineering aura. His jet-black eyebrows resembled thunderbolts, and even his pupils seemed to occasionally flash with lightning.

Compared to the gentle demeanor of the man on the left, the one on the right was undoubtedly more aggressive and imposing.

"Zhentian, my old friend, thank you for your trouble," the elder said, exchanging pleasantries with Lin Zhentian before turning his gaze back to the doorway.

"So, you are Mo Yu, the Black Thunder Captain? Come in." The elder beckoned toward Mo Yu with a wave of his hand.

Hearing this, Mo Yu hesitated for a moment, his gaze sweeping across the hall before he nodded slowly.

As he stepped inside, Mo Yu's eyes settled on the elderly man seated in the main chair.

This elder was clearly advanced in age, his face deeply wrinkled, but simply sitting there, he exuded a majestic and imposing aura. In that instant, it felt as though he had merged with the hall itself, and his every movement seemed capable of summoning the will of the heavens.

Such an indescribable pressure—Mo Yu had only ever felt it before from Hai Mo Zun Zhe.

An advanced Ban Sheng!

Mo Yu's heart stirred. He hadn't expected the declining Mo Clan to still harbor an advanced Ban Sheng. If the clan were at its peak, just how powerful would it have been?

However, this elder's aura was incredibly weak, as if his time was nearing its end. Clearly, he had been clinging to life for many years.

"Mo Yu greets the elder," Mo Yu said, bowing deeply as a junior and speaking respectfully.

The elder smiled with a complicated expression. "Look at you, child, so unfamiliar with all this. No wonder—after all, you were raised outside the clan and know little of its affairs."

Mo Yu nodded silently. Faced with a group of strangers who were supposedly his kin, he felt no emotional attachment. Thus, he chose to remain quiet.

The elder's eyes dimmed with sadness, clearly unprepared for Mo Yu's indifference toward the Mo Clan. For a moment, he too fell silent.

"Ahem." The plump middle-aged man quickly coughed to break the awkward silence. Rising to his feet, he smiled warmly at Mo Yu. "Black Thunder Captain, this is the clan leader of the Mo Clan, Mo Cangxuan.

"Lord Cangxuan has served as the clan leader of our Mo Clan for centuries, a true pillar of stability and unparalleled dedication.

"As for me, I am the Grand Elder of the Mo Clan, Mo Pan. The man beside me is the Second Elder, Mo Xiao. Together, we assist the clan leader in handling the clan's affairs."

After speaking, he gestured to the black-browed middle-aged man, who nodded slightly at Mo Yu, his eyes carrying a hint of scrutiny.

"Mo Yu greets the Grand Elder and Second Elder," Mo Yu said, clasping his hands in respect toward the two men.

He could feel the strength of these two middle-aged men. Though not as powerful as Mo Cangxuan, both had reached the level of an early Ban Sheng.

An advanced Ban Sheng coupled with two early Ban Shengs—this was indeed a testament to the Mo Clan's might as one of the four subordinate families of the Lei Clan.

Yet this strength was not without its flaws.

Firstly, the Mo Clan's strongest member, Mo Cangxuan, was only an advanced Ban Sheng, far from reaching the Dou Sheng level. Compared to the other three subordinate clans, they were clearly a step behind.

Secondly, Mo Cangxuan was too old and nearing his end. In Mo Yu's view, he likely didn't have many years left.

Once Mo Cangxuan fell, the Mo Clan would be left with only two early Ban Shengs. At that point, their strength would pale even in comparison to forces like the Flower Sect in Central Plains.

It was no wonder rumors were spreading about the Mo Clan being removed from the ranks of the four subordinate families.

"Clan Leader, it's understandable for the Black Thunder Captain to feel unfamiliar with the Mo Clan after living outside for so long. He will gradually grow accustomed to it," Mo Pan said to Mo Cangxuan.

"Yes, I understand. It's just that I was overcome with emotion. Who would have thought that such a genius as the Black Thunder Captain would emerge from our Mo Clan?" Mo Cangxuan sighed.

"Indeed," Mo Xiao added, "it's truly remarkable. Since the patriach values him so highly—promoting him exceptionally and granting him marriage to Miss Fei'er—it's clear he is no ordinary individual."

Mo Cangxuan nodded, his expression slowly softening. He turned to Mo Yu and said, "Black Thunder Captain, the blood of the Mo Clan flows in your veins. From now on, consider Mo Mountain your home."

"I will follow your instructions, Clan Leader. However, you may simply address me as Mo Yu. There's no need to stand on ceremony," Mo Yu replied.

Mo Cangxuan smiled faintly and studied Mo Yu more closely. In him, the elder sensed something unique—an extraordinary quality absent even in the most outstanding young talents of the clan.

As if struck by an idea, the elder's gaze softened further, and a trace of delight appeared on his face.

"Mo Yu, how about I relinquish the position of clan leader of the Mo Clan to you?"
