Kimura got up as she took his notes and sat in the seat beside his seat, copying his notes as Kimura walked out of the classroom. He walks through the cramped halls as people were talking as he walked by. He looked for a spot that would be quiet as he went up to the rooftop, going up the stairs as he opened the door, with the sunlight breathing into the doorway.
Kimura steps out as the feeling of a small breeze made him smile a bit as he looks at his cast, remembering that he cannot fight at his full potential. "n-need a drink?" a voice suddenly springs out from behind him as he jumps a little and looks around.
Just as he turned around a cold touch pressed against his cheek. His eyes locked again as Kimura saw Asuka's green eyes. Her being there was a surprise for him as he steps back from her. What is Asuka doing here? He was confused as she offered him his soda.
"A-Are you going t-take it..?"
"I-I…" he was too stunned as she puts his soda closer to him. Kimura looks down at her offer as he hesitantly grabs it as she smiles, her grip softens and slips out from his grasp and from holding the soda can. He holds it as he looks at it and then looks back at her.
She just lets out a small giggle as she happily skips over to the fence, looking down as she grasps onto the fence. Kimura watches her as he follows her just far enough far back without getting in her way or too close. "Why are you here Asuka?" He asked her as Asuka sighs with some relief.
"Well, I c-came to see you…"
She spoke softly yet confidently, but that confidence slowly faded as that timidness began to show itself again. Her steps slumped to a softer step as she looked at Kimura.
"I-I wanted to t-thank you again when you were able t-to walk…"
"Huh? Thank me for what?" Kimura asked, however his mind was already anticipating the assistance during the middle grounds.
"I…wanted to t-thank you for helping me w-when I needed it t-the most…" she softly smiled at Kimura.
Kimura didn't know what she was talking about now, however he slowly lowered his guard around her subconsciously. "Oh, no problem I guess…" he said as he opened his can of soda. Kimura looked at his soda as he drank it, momentarily forgetting the world around him as he stands beside Asuka looking down at the students wandering around the academy grounds.
"So, did you come all this way to thank me?" Kimura asks her.
"N-No…No not really…" she replies staring down at the fountain below.
"Then why'd you come out this far, shouldn't you be back at Kyoushou?"
"No…Maybe…I'm still an outcast wherever I go…" Asuka tells him.
Kimura looks at her a bit stunned hearing it from such a timid girl. However, Asuka leans forward slightly as she presses her forehead on the chain-linked fence.
"I…I don't really b-belong anywhere…" She utters out.
"W-What about you K-Kimura…Do you feel like you b-belong here…?" she looks over.
"…"
It was a question out of the blue but a question that Kimura has thought many times before, leaving home was a big step but living on his own was another. He knows what it feels like to shoulder the burden of feeling misplaced but never like this before. Kimura takes a deep breath before he replies to her.
"No…" He exhales.
"I know what it feels like to be an outcast, when the world shames you for being different…"
Asuka lets out a soft and subtle smile as she sits down with Kimura following suite. They both sat as the wind gusted and the leaves rustled below. Kimura rested the back of his head against the chain-linked fence as he looked at the sky with the clouds going one way.
"Asuka can I ask you something?"
"W-What is it…?" her internal screaming continued as she kept up a focused but clam exterior.
"What do you want to do when you graduate?" Kimura asks her.
"I…" she tried to respond, to come up with nothing in mind.
"…I don't know…"
"Me neither…I don't really know what I want to do when I grow up." Kimura continues, "Its such a scary concept that right after graduation we just have to get ready for the real world outside of here…"
"I…just never thought about it…" she mutters.
Asuka didn't really have anything going for her, she was barely holding onto a part-time job, barley able to keep up with her studies, and barley able to do anything at this point. She contemplated on why the world was choosing her to be pelted with a bad omen at every possible moment.
Meanwhile Kimura looks at Asuka, noticing that something is on her mind, he gets up struggling a bit because of his arm cast as Asuka instinctively reaches out to help. However, Asuka suddenly hesitates as she stops herself from helping him.
Kimura gets up with some effort as he looks at her, Asuka was looking at her own hands as she remembers the last time she helped someone and how it ended. Kimura pats her shoulders as Asuka looks at him, her breathing began to calm down as she took deep breaths.
"S-Sorry…"
"It's okay Asuka, I'm still getting used to this too." He smiles.
She gives a soft smile as Kimura hears the bell ring; Asuka looks over hearing it too as Kimura sighs. "Looks like we'll have to cut our little peace short Asuka." Kimura tells her as she looks and nods a bit late collecting her thoughts as she gets up, both heading downstairs.

Later that night Kimura was training again but this time with one arm, every punch he threw he instinctively tried to follow up with his other arm as he forgot it was still bandaged. God…this fucking suck to do with one arm… he thought, deciding to end his training session early.
