I should have tried writing beforehand…
Kimura struggled to write neatly on his paper as he struggled that the paper wouldn't stay in one place even with how much pressure he was putting on the table. He then had an idea as he pulls out some tape from his bag, taping it down as it was now staying still and straight. While he wrote on the paper he also began to slowly drift off in his thoughts.
While writing and copying equations his mind drifted off to Asuka as he shook his head, trying to refocus as he made multiple equations and solutions while listening. Kimura continued his work as he ran out of paper to write on.
Shit I need to flip it onto the back…
Kimura picked at the tape as it was barley coming off, he kept picking at it with a little more frustration. C'mon… he looked up to see they were already on the next question as he frowned a bit picking at the tape a little faster.
One came off as he started picking at the top left as it came off rather quickly. Now the last two! He grabbed the paper from the top and pulled it towards him, making the bottom tape peel off. Kimura quickly flipped it to the back to look up to the board, seeing they were already a question ahead.
WHAT WAS THE SECOND EQUATION?!!!
Kimura began scrambling down the third question and equation, time would begin to fly as he struggled to keep up, writing down as much as he could. The bell would ring a few minutes later as Kimura had his head on his table, his sweat dripping onto his paper as he had a small stack of paper beside him.
Is it this hard to write with a single arm…?
He pulls his head up from his table as he sets his paper onto the top of the stack sighing as he leans back a bit on his chair. He took a few more deep breaths as he closed his eyes momentarily. The break had started as students were walking out into the halls of the academies. Kimura then felt a warm touch on his forehead, opening his eyes to see a girl standing and looking at him.
They connected eyes as her blue eyes and his heterochromatic eyes locked momentarily; however he broke that look less than a second later as he noticed her ears, she had hearing aids in her ears. She's deaf… he thought to himself as he sat up and turned to look at her.
"Do you need something?"
She just looked at him as she stayed quiet, Kimura expected it as she began using her hands, making hand signs, using simple gestures rather than using the regular sign language. I looked at her hands as she put her hand together, opening them like a book then pointed at my desk before making a writing gesture.
"Do you need paper to write?"
She shook her head in response as Kimura made a few gestures. I know a little. Kimura made with his hands, using the limited sign language as her eyes widened with astonishment. "You know how to do sign language?!" she made with her hands quickly; her fluency speaks volumes to her surprise about someone else knowing sign language.
"I know a little." Kimura gestured again.
"So did you need paper to write?" Kimura spoke to her.
She shook her head in response again, she began making quick sign language gestures as Kimura only picked up on one gesture she made. Copy… he thought as he looked at his stack of papers and slid it towards her.
She looks at his papers as she looks back at him. "You want to copy my notes right?" Kimura asked as he began to piece together the previous hand gestures she made. She nods as she bows a bit, saying thank you in sign language. Kimura nods making the same gesture back, not knowing what it meant as she just gave a warm smile.
