Chapter 333 - Chapter 332: The Stone Platform Beneath the Cliff Wall

Chapter 332: The Stone Platform Beneath the Cliff Wall

Seeing everyone remain silent, Helena's expression turned serious.

"Then let's proceed with this plan. We've come this far; there's no way we're leaving empty-handed."

Saying this, Helena pulled out a soft fruit from her waist pouch and took a bite.

Although she ate it with a pale face, at least she managed to consume it.

Her action forced everyone to accept the reality.

The group dispersed quietly and resumed gathering the fruits.

Looking at Harry and Baha, who had turned into flower demons, Helena sighed inwardly.

A single moment of carelessness had cost them their lives in the labyrinth.

Two emperor-class professionals were lost just like that.

They had been fine moments ago, but in the blink of an eye, their lives were gone.

"Lord Silver Mask, are they truly dead?"

Although Helena already knew the answer, she couldn't help but confirm again.

"They're dead. Their lives are no longer their own."

The two were both dead and not dead.

In a sense, they were still alive, but living without consciousness was meaningless.

To Li Meng, they were as good as dead.

---

The next day, the group set out again, their hearts still lingering with fear.

Though two members were gone, it didn't impact the mission.

In a labyrinth, death was an all-too-common occurrence.

---

Four days later, at the edge of the desert, beneath a cliff wall.

"Lord Silver Mask, we've arrived!"

They had reached the end of the desert.

It was a vast, sheer cliff wall stretching endlessly in either direction.

Beneath it lay a stone platform resembling a pyramid, approximately 50 meters tall.

Li Meng had spotted the platform from afar.

Arriving beneath the platform, the group dismounted from their dodo birds.

Though clever, the dodo birds were still beasts.

If left unattended, they would wander off.

After tying the dodo birds together with ropes, the group began ascending the platform.

"This must be a man-made structure!"

The platform had staircases on all four sides leading to the top.

Such a place could not have formed naturally.

Walking beside Li Meng, Helena nodded slightly.

"This place likely has a long history, but who built this platform is a mystery."

"What kind of space is up there?"

"It has a sky. It could very well be that place."

That place?

"The Sky City?"

The only place Li Meng could think of when Helena mentioned "that place" was Sky City.

If it had a visible sky, that space couldn't be inside the labyrinth.

In the labyrinth, the sky was never visible—only the dome of the rocky ceiling.

"It's most likely that place. Sky City is vast, and the area we're heading to should just be a part of it."

Helena understood the significance of what lay in Sky City better than anyone.

Though it was only a legend, it wasn't just a rumor.

The master of Sky City was none other than the "Sacred Dragon King."

The ancient Sacred Dragon King of legend resided in Sky City.

If they disturbed that being, no one here would escape alive.

However, Helena couldn't confirm whether this space was truly Sky City.

---

"What's the relationship between angels and the ancient dragon kings?"

If this space was indeed Sky City, the angels and the Sacred Dragon King shared the same realm.

It wouldn't make sense for there to be no connection between them.

Helena shook her head.

"I don't know. I'm also curious why angels would exist in that space."

Logically, angels shouldn't be present in Sky City.

After all, the master of that place was the Sacred Dragon King.

For powerful abyssal beings like angels, the Sacred Dragon King wouldn't ignore their presence.

Unless there was a close relationship between the two.

But what that relationship might be was beyond Helena's knowledge.

---

During their casual conversation, the group reached the top of the platform.

At the top was a teleportation magic circle.

The mages in the group, familiar with the procedure, placed some labyrinth magic crystals into the grooves of the nodes.

"Everyone, are you ready?"

Standing within the teleportation circle, Helena surveyed her companions.

Her expression was nothing but solemn.

Her companions nodded in unison.

Without further hesitation, Helena waved her staff.

"Then let's begin. Activate the teleportation circle!"

As her words fell, her staff emitted a watery blue magical glow.

The great mages and sages in the group began channeling magic into the teleportation circle.

As magic flowed into it, the circle on the ground glowed with blue light.

In an instant, everyone on the platform turned into blue beams of light and vanished.

---

In another teleportation circle, long dormant, light suddenly burst forth.

As blue magical beams emerged from the void, over a dozen people appeared on the circle.

"It's the sky…"

The change in surroundings made Li Meng look up at the sky.

It was no longer a rocky dome but a clear blue expanse.

Looking around, they were surrounded by crumbling ruins.

The teleportation circle was located in a half-destroyed building.

The ruins bore clear traces of human construction.

All around, strange and varied architectural remains were visible.

"Everyone, this place isn't safe. Stay quiet and follow me!"

The group didn't linger at the teleportation circle.

Under Helena's urging, they left and entered the ruins.

Outside the teleportation circle was a vast expanse of ruined buildings.

Despite the decay, some streets remained passable.

---

Walking along the streets, the group looked around curiously.

For many, it was their first time in this space.

"Are there any magical creatures in these ruins?"

Li Meng turned to Helena beside him.

Helena shook her head.

"The last time we came, there were no creatures here except for light slimes."

"How did you discover the Radiant Angel, then?"

"Lord Silver Mask, you'll find out soon enough."

Helena's answer piqued Li Meng's curiosity.

He couldn't help but look forward to what lay ahead.

Just as Helena had said, the ruins were devoid of magical creatures.

The group traveled north for over ten kilometers without encountering any living things.

All they saw were endless crumbling walls and streets stretching into the horizon.

"Stop!"

At a crossroads, Helena raised her hand to signal a halt.

The group stopped and turned to look at her.

"Head up there!"

Helena pointed to a pile of building debris to the right.

The group left the street and climbed the debris.

The debris provided a vantage point.

From this higher ground, their view broadened.

At the northern edge of the ruins stood a massive mountain.

On the mountain was a cluster of intact palaces.

The palaces were pure white, exuding a sacred aura.

At the base of the mountain was a plaza.

In the center of the plaza was a large, dilapidated fountain.

The fountain was enormous, comparable to two football fields.
