Chapter 710 - Chapter 708: Mission Accomplished – Retreat and Conversation

"Grand Elder, bad news! The Seven-Tails has been sealed inside Shamu!"

Upon hearing the name "Shamu," the Grand Elder of Takigakure was stunned for a moment before recalling who it was.

Shamu was the son of the former village leader, not even fifteen years old yet. Due to his exceptional talent and his father's political legacy, he was granted special permission to participate in this mission despite only being a Chunin. His responsibility was to defend Area B2, which was neither too far nor too close to the Sealing Chamber.

Wait—

Why was he even worried about Shamu? Even if he was the former village leader's son, he was just a Chunin. Wasn't the more pressing issue how the Seven-Tails got sealed inside him?

The Grand Elder quickly gathered his thoughts and asked, "What exactly happened?"

The Takigakure ninja who came rushing in immediately reported everything he had witnessed.

"Grand Elder, this is how it went..."

One Minute Earlier

The moment Seimei activated the power of the Heavenly Dominion, he took the Seven-Tails and left the Sealing Chamber.

Even without anyone maintaining it, the seal on the floor should have been enough to keep the Seven-Tails trapped—

Well...

At least for a while.

But Seimei's Heavenly Dominion defied common sense. It took him and the Seven-Tails into another dimension, completely bypassing the seal on the floor.

With this, he casually walked out of the Sealing Chamber with the Seven-Tails in tow.

He then passed through several high-security defense zones before arriving at Area B2, where Shamu was stationed.

By that point, the duration of Heavenly Dominion was almost up.

Conveniently, the ninja in this area weren't particularly strong.

So, he deactivated Heavenly Dominion.

Taking advantage of the momentary confusion among the Takigakure ninja, he performed the perfected Four Symbols Seal, temporarily sealing the Seven-Tails inside Shamu.

Why Shamu?

It was merely a coincidence.

Out of all the Takigakure ninja present, Shamu happened to be the closest and was the easiest Chunin to capture, so Seimei grabbed him on a whim.

What he didn't realize was that this random choice would alter Takigakure's future.

In another timeline, Shamu became Takigakure's youngest leader.

But now, his survival was uncertain.

Even if Seimei showed mercy later by transplanting the Seven-Tails without killing Shamu and sending him back to Takigakure, his chance of becoming the leader was gone.

No village would accept someone who was captured by an enemy and then returned as their leader.

As for Gaara's situation in Sunagakure, that was a unique case resulting from extraordinary circumstances.

In other words, Seimei had changed Takigakure's future—he had altered the "plot."

But even if he had known Shamu's identity, it wouldn't have changed his actions.

In the past, he tried to maintain the original "plot" to maximize the advantage of his foreknowledge.

But now, as his power grew, he no longer cared about such things.

Otherwise, he wouldn't have dealt with Danzo so swiftly.

Danzo was a major antagonist, a scapegoat for Konoha and even the entire ninja world. He played a significant role in many future events, including the Uchiha Clan Massacre.

Yet, Seimei killed him without a second thought.

This action completely altered Konoha's future.

And as one of the Five Great Ninja Villages, any change in Konoha would inevitably impact the other villages.

This ripple effect would eventually influence the entire ninja world.

It was clear that the future ninja world would look nothing like the one he remembered.

Thus, Seimei no longer cared about the so-called "plot."

Well...

Maybe that's getting off-topic.

Back to the point—after sealing the Seven-Tails inside Shamu, Seimei didn't bother fighting the surrounding Takigakure ninja. He immediately used the Flying Thunder God Technique to teleport out of Takigakure with Shamu.

Previously, at levels 5 and 6, he needed some preparation to use this technique.

But now, at level 7, he could activate it almost instantly.

At his current proficiency, the Flying Thunder God Technique had few weaknesses—except for being difficult to use flexibly in high-intensity combat.

Because of this, even though there were many Takigakure ninja present, none could stop him.

Back to the Present

Outside Takigakure, in a dense forest, two figures suddenly appeared.

It was Seimei and Shamu.

What could be said about Shamu?

He truly was destined to be a future village leader. Despite being under fifteen and having just been made a Jinchuriki, he quickly regained his composure.

Standing on a tree branch, Shamu surveyed his surroundings. From the terrain and the types of plants nearby, he deduced that they were still close to Takigakure.

Then he looked at Seimei, who was still disguised as a Takigakure Anbu, and asked, "Who are you? How do you know Konoha's Flying Thunder God Technique?"

"Oh, you figured it out?"

Seimei responded with an amused tone.

The moment he spoke, Shamu's expression turned dark.

He had only intended to bluff, but Seimei confirmed his suspicion right away.

This revelation made Shamu feel uneasy.

He would have preferred to be wrong.

After all, the Flying Thunder God Technique was Konoha's exclusive secret, publicly known to be used only by the Fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze.

Minato would never stoop to stealing another village's tailed beast.

Which meant this man either had a deep connection to Konoha, or he was trying to frame Konoha.

Unsure of which was true, Shamu continued to analyze the situation.

Seeing Shamu's puzzled look, Seimei removed his disguise and took off his mask, revealing his true identity.

"Uchiha Seimei?"

Shamu immediately recognized him and said, "Are you trying to start another Great Ninja War?"

"Heh."

Seimei chuckled and waved his hand. "Relax. Konoha is Konoha. I am me. I have no intention of triggering a war."

Realizing he was no match for Seimei, Shamu didn't try to resist or escape. Instead, he continued to probe for information.

"Then what's your objective? Do you want to be a Jinchuriki?"

Feeling the massive chakra of the Seven-Tails inside him, Shamu voiced his guess.
