Nia turned her head in surprise and looked at Jimmy, "Yours? You bought it?"
Jimmy nodded, "Yeah, I bought it over a year ago. Wait, did you always think this was a rented apartment?"
Sitting up straight, Nia leaned toward Jimmy, "Aren't you an orphan? How could you afford an apartment here? Oh, and your car!"
Jimmy chuckled, wrapping an arm around Nia and pulling her close, "Don't worry, it's not dirty money. I own a small company, and though it doesn't make a lot, it's enough to live on. I had the company before I came to New York, and I'm not a dirty cop, nothing against the rules."
Nia poked at Jimmy's chest with her finger, "Why have you never mentioned this before?"
Jimmy held her hand, the poking was tickling him, "You never asked, and I'm not some tycoon looking to make a ton of money. Living comfortably is all that matters to me."
