Today was Aanya's first day of college. She woke up early in the morning when the alarm rang. She was feeling a little nervous because her school life was over and now a new journey was about to begin.
She quickly got ready, picked up her bag, and left for college. While sitting in the bus, many thoughts were running through her mind. She kept thinking, "I wonder how my college will be… and what kind of people I will meet there."
After some time, the bus stopped near the college gate.
When Aanya saw the huge college gate, she stopped for a moment. There were many students inside the campus. Some were laughing with their friends, while some new students looked a little confused.
Aanya took a deep breath and slowly started walking inside.
Suddenly, a black car stopped near the gate at a fast speed. Aanya got a little scared and stepped back.
The car door opened and a boy came out. He looked very confident. He was wearing sunglasses and had a strong attitude.
Some students in the college started whispering when they saw him.
"That's Aryan…"
"He is the most popular boy in the college…"
Aanya didn't understand why everyone was treating him like he was someone very special.
Aryan looked at Aanya and said in a rude tone, "Can't you watch where you're going?"
Hearing this made Aanya a little angry.
"You were the one driving the car too fast," Aanya replied immediately.
For a few seconds, there was silence. Maybe it was the first time someone had talked back to Aryan like that.
Aryan looked at Aanya for a few moments and then gave a small smile before walking away.
Aanya didn't think much about it and started walking toward her classroom.
When she entered the classroom, she quietly sat on a bench and waited for the teacher.
A few minutes later, the classroom door opened.
And the same boy walked in.
Aryan.
He took a seat on the front bench. For a moment, his eyes met Aanya's, and he gave a small smirk.
Aanya quickly looked down at her notebook.
She had no idea that this boy would become one of the most important parts of her life.
And maybe Aryan also didn't know that the girl he had a small fight with today… would change his story completely.
Neither of them knew yet that this was only the beginning.
Aanya tried to focus on her notebook, but her mind kept going back to what had happened at the college gate. She had never met someone so rude on the very first day.
"Why does he think he is so special?" she thought to herself.
Just then, the teacher entered the classroom and everyone became quiet. The lecture started, but Aanya was still trying to adjust to the new environment. Everything felt different from school. The classroom was bigger, the students were new, and she felt like a stranger among them.
After a few minutes, the teacher asked everyone to introduce themselves.
One by one, the students started standing up and talking about themselves. Some spoke confidently, while others were nervous.
When Aanya's turn came, she slowly stood up.
"Hello everyone, my name is Aanya. I'm from a small town and I love reading books," she said softly.
Some students smiled at her introduction.
Then it was Aryan's turn.
He stood up casually as if he was already used to everyone's attention.
"I'm Aryan," he said simply.
That was it. He didn't say anything else and sat down again.
The whole class started whispering again.
Aanya found it strange. "Why does everyone act like he is some kind of celebrity?" she wondered.
After the lecture ended, the students started leaving the classroom.
Aanya packed her bag and walked outside. She was trying to find the library when someone suddenly bumped into her.
Her books fell on the floor.
"Oh, I'm so sorry!" a girl said quickly while helping her pick up the books.
"It's okay," Aanya replied with a small smile.
"My name is Nisha," the girl said. "Are you new here?"
"Yes, today is my first day," Aanya answered.
Nisha smiled. "Don't worry. You'll get used to this place soon."
For the first time that day, Aanya felt a little relaxed. Maybe making new friends wouldn't be so difficult after all.
But what she didn't know was that her story in this college was only beginning.
And somehow, that arrogant boy Aryan was going to be a big part of it.
