The next day, the invincible Spider-Man's "army" left the mountain base, embarking on their conquest of the Void World.
Leaving the green prairie behind, Charlie's convoy rolled into a desert.
ROAR~
Engines roared as Charlie silently donned a sunshade hat.
"The Void World is short on resources, but I'm curious—your prairie seemed fertile enough to grow something."
He sat in the passenger seat, chatting with White-haired Nick.
Nick shook his head. "Getting resources isn't about what we can grow—it's about what's already here."
"What's that mean?" Charlie asked, puzzled.
Natasha, in the back, explained, "Here, even potatoes are non-renewable."
Charlie blinked, stunned. "You realize what you're saying?"
Wade, beside Natasha, asked seriously, "You sure about that?"
Natasha shrugged. "You heard right. No matter how fertile the land, it won't grow anything unless it's already there."
Her words struck Charlie as absurd.
But he had to admit, this setup drove everyone in this world mad for the scarce resources.
No matter how strong-willed a superhero, they'd worry about food here.
Some might even break their principles for it.
Charlie glanced at the vehicle ahead.
Noticing his gaze, White-haired Nick said, "Johnny wasn't always like this. He gave in to Nova for us. His 'skills' were honed over time. He's sacrificed a lot."
Charlie's face darkened. "I said, don't bring that up."
Nick thought for a moment. "Alright, no more. Up ahead is Bronsky's territory. We hitting him first?"
"Bronsky? Who's that?"
"He's got a flashy nickname—Abomination."
"Got it."
Charlie waved. "Full speed ahead. Take this guy down first."
Cyclops and the others floored it, charging toward the crude settlement.
Soon, a massive explosion rocked the settlement. A dark green monster shot into the sky, only to be intercepted by a blazing arc of electricity.
"Hey, buddy, wanna fly?"
Superior Peter zipped around Abomination as an electric arc, firing webs to wrap him in a white cocoon.
Before Abomination could roar, a red-and-blue mech crashed from the sky, crushing him into the ground.
BOOM!!
Another explosion shook the desert. First-gen Peter leapt in, locking Abomination with a textbook scissor kick.
Finally, Wade drove his baby knife into Abomination, pinning him in a crater. The Adamantium blade was more than up to the task.
ROAR!!
In the pit, green blood sprayed. Abomination's rage gave way to pain as his exaggerated muscles shrank, and his fin-like keratin ears receded, revealing a foul-mouthed old man.
"Shi— you disgusting, vile bugs! I'll duel you, one-on-one, no backups— whimper~"
Wade stuffed a week-old pair of underwear in his mouth, silencing the world.
"We successfully ganged up on this Hulk," Wade turned, flashing a peace sign.
Blind Banner weakly raised a hand. "He's not actually a Hulk."
"I know."
"He's foaming at the mouth."
"I see that."
"He might choke to death."
"No big deal."
"Are we convincing him to join us?"
"Sure, but give it a minute."
In the end, conquered by the stench, Bronsky joined the invincible Spider-Man's team.
"Nice. Next up, another guy."
Charlie stood on the car roof, pointing in a direction. "Magneto!"
"Charge!"
Wade and the others, hyped up, set off again.
By evening, the convoy entered a dilapidated town.
Before Charlie could issue a challenge, a familiar figure appeared.
Whoosh~
Clank clank~
Rebar and concrete rose, forming a floating disc. A young Erik stepped through the air.
"Spider-Man, we meet again," Erik smiled.
Charlie raised an eyebrow. "You're…"
"We know each other."
Erik raised a hand, a faint flame flickering in his palm.
Hellfire!
Charlie got it. This was the Magneto who traded with Mephisto for his wife and daughter.
Yup, Hellfire Magneto. He's gotta have that form!
Charlie waved, stopping an eager Wade and the others.
He stepped through a portal to Erik's side.
White-haired Nick leaned towardnationally toward Wade. "He can open magic portals. Why make us travel the old-fashioned way?"
Wade scratched his butt. "He used to be a racecar driver. He loves the wind and freedom."
Nick clearly didn't buy it.
He looked at First-gen Peter, who said thoughtfully, "He's giving the enemy prep time. Fighting them one by one wastes time."
Nick nodded, understanding,,enlightened but still frowning.
"He's too cocky, even more than Nova."
"That's not cockiness."
Third-gen Peter smiled. "You don't know how strong the invincible Spider-Man is."
"But I know we're out of gas," Natasha said, rubbing her belly, worried. "All this bumping's bad for the baby."
Wade gently caressed his baby knife, pressing it to his cheek. "Yeah, the baby won't like it."
Natasha: "…"
She stepped away from Wade, disgusted.
Idiots are contagious.
…
On the rebar disc in midair.
"How'd you end up here?" Charlie asked.
Erik glanced at the darkening sky. "I came with a mission. You've probably met my target."
"The Void monster Alioth?" Charlie guessed.
Erik nodded. "Mephisto wants its power."
Charlie eyed him. "Honestly, you alone can't get Alioth's power for him."
"Of course."
Erik sighed. "That's why I'm waiting for you."
"Mephisto knew I'd come?"
Charlie rubbed his chin, sensing the situation growing complicated.
Erik thought for a moment. "Not just Mephisto's after it. Be careful. That's all I'll say."
"You've said plenty."
Charlie pulled out handcuffs and a white cloth. "Alright, chat's over. Time for the formalities. Pick one."
Erik: "…"
He glanced at the nearby group, his lip twitching, and took the cloth.
"I surrender."
"Smart. We'll continue tomorrow. Bring your crew."
"No problem. Where we going?"
"To conquer the world."
…
The next day, the growing team set out again.
As the group swelled, chaos grew.
Multiversal variants meeting didn't always spark romance, but it guaranteed chatterboxes like Spider-Man and Deadpool.
"Hey, long time no see."
"Oh my gosh, Nick, you got younger."
"This is young?"
"Of course. In my world, you're just a tombstone."
"Very funny."
Suddenly, the car stalled. White-haired Nick shouted, "Out of gas!"
Charlie summoned a dimensional monster.
HISS!!
A massive desert scorpion screeched, then was caged by Erik's metal.
BOOM~
Erik's eyes turned into black holes, hellfire engulfing the scorpion.
Soon, it stopped struggling, its flesh burned to ash beneath its shell, standing obediently under Erik's command.
Charlie nodded, impressed. "Nice new trick."
Erik waved, and the scorpion became a mount for White-haired Nick's team.
Finished, he turned to Charlie. "Anything consumed by hellfire becomes Mephisto's power. That's all I'll say."
Charlie shrugged. "You've said plenty."
From Erik's reaction, Mephisto seemed to have a message for him.
Charlie didn't believe Mephisto was that kind.
But he knew the invincible Spider-Man wasn't Mephisto's least favorite person.
Glancing at Erik's map, Charlie noted Nick's was small and nearly complete.
Others had maps too, so he wasn't short on intel.
Pointing at a settlement on the map, he said, "Erik, you take this one.
Wade, you and Peter take that one. Bronsky, handle the other. I'll take the rest. Finish them in a day."
"No problem."
They split up.
Over the next two weeks, the invincible Spider-Man's name grew louder.
Especially when word spread that he could summon massive dimensional monsters for food, many settlements joined without a fight.
Charlie's job became one thing: summoning monsters for meals daily.
As the team grew, more Spider-Men returned.
Finally, when the team reached a certain size, the Void monster targeted them.
BOOM!!
Rain poured on a remote town, the sky flashing with lightning. Eerie black clouds formed, revealing blood-red demon eyes.
ROAR~
The violent black cloud surged, the town trembling.
Wade and the others stepped outside, staring at the unimaginable Void monster, chills running down their spines.
White-haired Nick's eyes widened. "This thing's worse than before."
Gwen, grim, readied the Black Death Sword. "I've faced it before, but it wasn't this strong."
Mary Jane frowned. "Does its power grow with our numbers?"
First-gen Peter shook his head. "If the Void's a giant dump, Alioth's the garbage processor. More trash, more power."
Charlie, calm, smiled. "That's about right. We're the biggest pile of garbage now."
He eyed the approaching black mist. "If I'm right, this thing can't be killed."
"It's not its true form?" Wade realized.
"So what's the plan?" Supreme Peter asked.
Charlie shrugged. "Simple. I hold it off. You keep moving."
"You alone?" Thunder God Peter hesitated, thinking he was better suited for a lightning-wielding monster.
Charlie just smiled, grabbing a golden spider from the void.
Buzz~
Time-space energy surged, a golden suit covering his body.
To the group's shock, Golden Spider-Man shot into the sky, leaving a trail of golden cosmic energy forming a ring around Alioth's black mist.
ROAR~
BOOM!!
Alioth roared, lightning blasting as the golden ring flashed, and the massive mist vanished.
"It's gone!" Erik squinted.
With Alioth's destructive power, the invincible Spider-Man could've crushed it.
But he didn't.
Why?
Charlie's disappearance left the group rattled.
They'd joined for food.
Now, their meal ticket was gone.
"No!! My dinner!!"
Abomination freaked out, ready to vent on anyone nearby.
A black sword unleashed endless darkness, calming the restless crowd.
…
Meanwhile, in a wasteland, a giant Ant-Man head sat on the ground.
Inside its base, a khaki-clad bald woman smiled at a magic mirror.
The image showed Spider-Man and Alioth vanishing together.
Nova waved, dissolving the mirror, and turned to a towering Egyptian pharaoh.
"You were right. Spider-Man's trying to save everyone here."
Pharaoh Kang's face was blank. "The invincible Spider-Man will work another miracle, defeating Alioth and freeing everyone trapped at the end of time."
That was the history he wrote.
Nova's gaze shifted. "And then?"
"Then I'll gain Alioth's time power. And you, Cassandra Nova Xavier, will join the great dynasty, becoming a god of time manipulation." Kang's face cracked a smile.
Nova showed no excitement, only curiosity. "Why me?"
"Because you're evil enough."
Kang stared deeply. "Your innate evil, with our help, will make Spider-Man's magic sword go wild. He'll be consumed by his own weapon."
Nova laughed.
"I love your compliments."
