I sat up abruptly, as the past events flooded back to me en masse.
"Gah!"
In my thoughtless panic, I had momentarily forgotten all about the agony that my body was currently going through. Consequently, the newfound pain assailed me instantly.
"You shouldn't move so recklessly, you idiot! Do you have any idea what kind of condition your body is in right now!?" I heard Stellah yell at me furiously.
I turned in the direction of her voice, and glared at her in obvious annoyance. I didn't have time to worry about anything other than the safety of my Mate.
"Don't you fucking glare at me, damn it! You're lucky to be alive right now, led alone awake to even glare at me! I saved your foolish life! The least you could do is thank me first, before you direct your unjustified hostility towards me!" She asserted angrily, as she firmly planted her feet next to my bed.
