Chapter 351 - Chapter 351: He is Wade Grey

Earlier, the sky was dim, and the bat was small, so he didn't clearly see the other person's name. Suddenly hearing this voice, he couldn't help but step forward and try to lean in to get a better look.

But before he could do so, Wade suddenly became alert. He stopped his movement and listened quietly.

At the same time, the image of his father's friend—Uncle Landon Johnson's desperate and haggard face—floated into his mind.

It had been a long time since he had heard any news about that person.

To this day, Wade still couldn't confirm whether Landon truly had issues or if all his abnormalities were just the result of being driven mad by the cruel reality.

Caryll seemed not to have considered at all what would happen to his parents after he left home. His voice, as always, carried a rising tone and sounded full of energy.

Another slightly hoarse voice echoed in the cave: "Well done, Caryll."

As this person spoke, strange screams and roars could also be heard from within.

Wade was momentarily stunned but eventually quietly peeked in.

In the dark and damp cave, there was actually a half-human-height Streaming mirror, and the scene reflected in the mirror was that of Hogsmeade.

Hagrid and Lupin were fighting from one end of the street to the other, and the mirror followed the werewolf the whole time. Wade even caught a glimpse of the Weasley brothers' heads in a corner.

Wade was slightly taken aback, then frowned.

It wasn't strange that the other party had a Streaming mirror, but the fact that they could "live broadcast" the scene of Hogsmeade proved that they at least possessed a Master mirror, and the images captured by this Master mirror did not go through the Aslan Magic Workshop's relay platform.

He instinctively wanted to investigate, but upon further thought, he felt helpless.

In order to record as many programs as possible that wizards liked, Aslan had reportedly sent out dozens of reporters, distributed all over the world.

Some bold individuals even deliberately ventured into dangerous places, such as dragon lairs, making it quite common to lose or damage master mirrors.

Not to mention, the most important aspect of any invention is the idea. Once a product appears, imitation becomes much easier.

Wade focused his mind and looked intently.

The person with the hoarse voice was a middle-aged man, slightly balding, with drooping eyes, messy stubble, and a prominent hooked nose.

He was wearing a loose shirt and a brown jacket, with dark jeans, dressed like a telephone operator facing a midlife crisis.

[Haskell Glenwhite], that was his name.

He was sitting on a rock, watching the scene in the Streaming Mirror.

Caryll, with his golden-brown hair, sat cross-legged on the ground, and there was a smile on his pale face as if he found the panicked fleeing people in the mirror quite amusing.

He held a can of cola in his hand, and said while watching the screen, "Go on! Bite him! Bite him! What kind of werewolf only uses its claws!"

In the scene, the werewolf had already been subdued by Hagrid and was being held high in the air.

Caryll clicked his tongue in dissatisfaction, "Useless! Didn't even kill one person, not even a bite. I really doubt if his teeth are just for show!"

"It's normal," Glenwhite said with a usual demeanor, "After all, this is near Hogwarts, who knows how many powerful wizards are hidden around. Pack up, it's time to go, Caryll."

"Eh? Now?" Caryll said reluctantly, "I still want to see the werewolf's ending—see if he'll be sentenced by the wizards he trusts."

"You can find out the result from the newspaper."

Glenwhite was firm, so Caryll got up to help pack—tent, water bottle, sleeping bag, coffee pot...

They even cleaned up all traces they left in the cave, not wanting to leave even a single hair behind.

Wade burrowed into a pile of dead leaves to avoid being noticed by the two.

He noticed that both people in the cave knew magic, and unlike those rogue wizards who usually only knew a handful of spells, they were proficient in a wide range of spells, and their movements were very standard.

Cleaning spells, levitation spells, restoration spells, summoning spells, organizing spells...

Caryll's proficiency in various spells even surpassed that of an ordinary third-year student.

But their spells were not very smooth, like Neville's used to be, sometimes working and sometimes not.

Wade could tell at a glance that this was because their wands were not very suitable.

Glenwhite and Caryll didn't have magical tents either; they used ordinary tents bought from Muggle stores, and their carried bags were not enchanted with undetectable extension charms.

So after packing, each had a huge bundle in front of them. But even Caryll didn't show any difficulty, they easily shouldered their bundles.

Glenwhite packed up the Streaming Mirror in the end. In the scene, Hagrid had already carried the werewolf into the Hog's Head, and as the door closed, the camera could no longer capture what was behind.

Glenwhite couldn't help but say, "What a pity... that half-giant is actually one of them."

"Half-giant? No wonder that guy is so huge, just with his fists he can subdue a frenzied werewolf."

Caryll exclaimed in surprise, "The giants I've seen are all roaring, foolish brutes. This guy seems to have a brain?"

"Yes," Glenwhite looked quite regretful, "He should have been our comrade... it's a pity we didn't discover him sooner."

"Don't sympathize with him! Look at him blocking the way for those wizards—he's completely brainwashed, willingly being a dog for the wizards!" Caryll said disdainfully.

"There's no helping it, not everyone can see the reality of this world as clearly as we do."

As Glenwhite spoke, he pressed his hand over the Streaming Mirror, which then shrank to the size of a palm and was put away.

"This Streaming Mirror is really good, much more convenient than a camera," Caryll said, watching from the side with his arms crossed, "It's just a shame it's sold so expensively... damn wizards, greedier than capitalists!"

Glenwhite gave him a strange look.

"What's wrong?" Caryll asked curiously.

"Do you know who the inventor of this thing is?" Glenwhite inquired.

"Huh? I think I've heard of him..." Caryll tried to recall, "Seems like an old man named Murray?"

"No, you're mistaken," Glenwhite said, "The inventor isn't Terrence Murray, but Murray's student from recent years, Wade Grey."

"Wade Grey?" Caryll was startled, then laughed, "What a coincidence, I also know someone by that name... but I haven't seen him in a long time."

"Then you might have a chance to see him this time," Glenwhite said.

Caryll was puzzled, "What do you mean?"

"Because the Wade Grey I'm talking about is the person you know—he's at Hogwarts!"
