"And why did you call me to Dylan's company?" Olivia asked the moment she saw Betty, not bothering to hide the irritation in her voice.
Betty looked up from her desktop. "Well, because I work here. And you're Dylan's partner, at least publicly, so us being seen together won't raise any questions."
Olivia's brows creased. She tilted her head, stunned. Her mouth parted slightly in disbelief before she caught herself and closed it quickly, realizing Betty was watching her reaction.
"You didn't know?" Betty smirked, uncertain of the shock on Olivia's face.
"It doesn't really matter," Olivia said, her tone clipped. "Why did you call me here?"
Betty gestured to the seat across from her. "You're not going to just stand there, are you? Please sit."
Reluctantly, Olivia pulled out a chair and sat.
Betty leaned forward. "So… I went with the lawyer you got for me. We met Philip."
Olivia tensed, saying nothing.
