River was surprised to see Greyson was here, even though she expected him to hear about her sooner or later.
However, she didn't like the way he took Ashlyn away from her arms forcefully.
"I said, get out!" Greyson raised his voice, and this startled Ashlyn; she wriggled in Greyson's arms and tried to free herself. Ashlyn pushed Greyson's face and then stretched out her arms toward River. "Why are you still standing there?! I said, Get out."
River glared at him viciously. "You, get out." Her voice sounded icy, which startled Greyson. He looked at River, astounded, before anger took over. "Give her back to me."
River was worried that she might hurt Ashlyn if she snatched her away from Greyson. However, it was difficult not to do so when she saw how desperately Ashlyn wanted to be with her.
