I'm burning in anger, either I'll explode or Victor's funeral will take place tonight. I immediately got to the mansion after calling Ifan to take care of Ayat while I take care of Victor. He's so dead. I walk in the hallway widely taking space, guards greed me with bows, as I walked cross them. Sould I rather kill Victor myself or shall I torture that Motherfucker who dared to touch my woman. I'll just think of that at the moment. I've finally reached the point where I have the same level of power as Victor, or parhaps more.
Everyone here is a snap away from obeying me. At first I didn't want to choose this behaviour, but now I do.
I want everyone to obey me, and they will. Every single one of them will. With Mr Faisal being in my favour, no one can dare to stand infront of me.
I enter in the Auditorium room. "Bring him." I take a seat on the chair I ordered to be placed in the middle of the stage to have the perfect view. As I sat, I lean forward with curved back, elbows on knees, and my shoulders rolled forward.
Two of my men enter through the main gate, dragging victor with them, forcefully making him stand infront of me down the hall.
"What the fuck do you think you're doing Sam?" Victor yells.
"Tie him." I order loud and clear.
"Who do you think you are!" He screamed as they tie his hands behind his back.
"Don't fight back Vic" I say disturbingly, smacking my lips.
"Why are you doing this!?"
"You really don't know?" I ask, stroking my chin with sarcasm.
"I don't- wait! Is it about Ayat?"
He knows.
"Are you really that hurt over a meaningless girl?" He laughs smirkingly.
"See you don't want my heart to break right? And you certainly don't want yours to be torn out by Mr Faisal. Right?" I make myself comfortable, with one leg crossed on the other.
He remained silent.
"Mention her name again and watch how I bearly hesitate to tear off your skin from your body till every part in you begs for forgiveness. I won't forget nor forgive but you begging for mercy will please my soul in which she exists, in my veins, in my blood, she exists. Which is why her name coming out of your mouth hits my nerve, makes me want to cut that tongue of yours out. Understood?" I release my arms to pour myself a drink. Which a garud was already holding for me.
"You're threatening me?" Victor raised his brows.
"Leave now." I refuse to listen to him.
"Who the fuck do you think you are!? Threatening me?" His brows pulled down.
"I'm someone you can never compete with, call me daddy if necessary to at least try to reach my standard."
"Motherfucker!" He yells.
"Leave." I command. I slump back, sat more relaxed, as I curved back, my legs stretched out in front.
"You really think you have that power-"
"I don't think about the things I already have." I cut him mid sentence.
He can't touch me. He knows that, I know that, which is why I'm taking advantage of the privilege Mr Faisal gave me.
As he turned his head around to walk out,
Two of my guards come out of the sideways, and they stand infront of him, blocking his way out.
"Did you really thought I'd let you get away that easily." I smirk in disgust.
"What- don't come any near me!" Victor shouts. "You'll fucking pay for this Sam!"
"Beat him till he can longer walk." I order them as I stood up to leave the room, hearing all the noise, basically him screaming.
It's scaring how I can be so dead inside when I want somone to be in pain. But when I walked outside the Auditorium room, out of nowhere my head striked dizziness, my knee grew weak and I had to grip the wall to be able to stand. What the-
"You're the same as Sarfaraz. A blood line of pain, who's only known to create sorrow. Blood sharing brutes. monsters. Such Heartless, dirty humans."
My eyebags feel heavy, more like sleepy.
I think I'm gonna vomit.
"Oh thank God you're here Sam." Nimra catches me from up the stairs, she rush her steps down. "I've been looking for you for like an hour."
"Why, what's up?" I say, my vision grow blur, but I act cool.
"Mr Faisal wants you at his patio asap."
"Did he happen to mention why exactly?"
"No but I think I have a guess."
"Enlighten me." My voice is cranky, as if I have a sore throat.
"I saw Victor with him, he was complaining on a deeper level Sam."
"Wait-" Didn't I just torture him ten minutes ago? "How long has he been with Mr Faisal?"
"For about- estimately forty five minutes." She said. My sore throat immediately gets ichy as equlent of fire. I can tell my heart is skipping beats frequently.
"Sam your hands are shaking-" Nimra puts her hand on my forehand. "Your burning."
Where have I been for the last thirty minutes?
How long have I been missing?
Was- that a blackout?
What the absolute fuck?
-
"You wanted to see me." I join them at the patio, I was about to take a seat when Mr Faisal said. "Don't take a seat." He's refusing me to sit? I'm left hanging.
"Yeah sure." I don't essentially make it a big deal because it's not. I walk behind him. He's standing with his hands behind him,
looking at the tiny mountains that appear when we stand here, they look like they've been painted. I see Victor is also here, pouring himself a drink?
"Isn't that disrespectful." I throw my voice at victor. "Wasn't what you did more disrespecting?" He walks up to us. I don't reply to him, Mr Faisal isn't saying anything, he's way too quite for his own good.
"Wasn't what you did back in the city utterly disrespectful?" I say.
"You didn't even asked why I went there."
"I didn't have to, I know how big of an ass you already are."
"You're childish-"
"Enough!" Mr Faisal cuts him mid sentence.
"Both of you." He clears, looking at us with pure disappointment in his eyes.
"What were you thinking Sam when you did that? Aren't you ashamed?"
He's bashing on me?
"What was HE doing near HER!?" I unintentionally raised my voice, I spoke reluctantly as if coerced, I didn't mean to be rude to Mr Faisal but he looks at me with constant worry filling his glare.
"Sir you don't understand, she's a gem and you need to keep her away from your filth!" I bite back my anger.
"You work for him too, don't you think that makes you as much of a filth as I am?" The audacity Victor's tone holds is idiotic, and hypocritical.
My eye tweaked at his words.
"You asshole! don't you ever project the mess you've created on me!" I yell, Mr Faisal holds my arm to pull me back.
"I was, I am, and I'll always be better than you!" I trace the length of Victor's body, disgustedly.
"But you're not though. You're exactly like us." How can he still have that calm tone when he knows he's in the wrong.
"Why does it bother you to be called like us Sam?" Mr Faisal releases my arm "It's you who wanted this in the first place isn't that right son?"
"I'm proud to be like you sir- but I'd rather die than to be called like Victor." I keep my glare straight at Mr Faisal.
"Victor is your partner. You don't get to treat him that way." Mr Faisal gleaned.
"Well with all due respect sir, I don't give a fuck."
"Don't act nonchalant Sam."
"I'm not, it just simply doesn't mean anything to me."
"What doesn't?"
"Victor being a part of our hub."
Victor's jaw clenched and was about to throw an insult at me but Mr Faisal gestured him to ignore me.
"The second you called me your son I dedicated my life to you." I say, refusing to look away, as we both kept a strong eye contact.
The bond between us is still there. I can see it in his eyes.
"That is why I know you wouldn't do anything to risk our place." He says calmly.
"I won't."
"Whatever conflict is between you two, solve it, don't make it obvious to our members. I've given the two of you the authority and every access to our hub, from security to every organisations that take place at our mansion. If the two of you won't take each other's side, do you think others will? They'd know your weakness and they'll to use it against you. Be ingenious, be more erudite. Keep your eyes open. Resolve the matter within these walls. But I will say victor- If I hear one more complaint that you stepped in Sam's personal life, either it's Ifan or his sister, I will make sure Sam tears your skin apart correctly that time."
Wow- I try to hide my smile, because I'm internally smiling damn hard right now.
"I have a meeting to attend. Dismissed both of you." Before leaving, he shared a tiny smile with me without letting Victor notice that. Oh God I'm so happy right now.
Ayat- she's waiting at home still as scared as I left her. I have to go.
"It's laughable that you think Kerim is your way to your parents, huh?"
I stop walking.
How the fuck does he know about Kerim and ours incounter?
I had turned my back at him, so I kept it that way, I don't face him, but he knows I'm hearing.
"Hemsworth isn't who you're looking for." He said in skepticism.
"I was sparing you—more like pitying you before. But please, do tell. How exactly do you plan to ascend to the lofty heights of familial virture?" Victor's voice maintained a deep insight, which made my feet froze.
"How do you know." I say without facing him.
"Sam, you don't deserve anyone. The murderer you're after is well kept, he's not involved in the retribution of Hemsworth. He's an observer, someone even standing infront of you."
My body trembles. Nausea strikes through, and my heart shivers in dreadness.
He..
"I, might have some idea of who or where he may be. Somewhere no one can even slightly speculate. Not can you neither can your daddy." He shucks, chuckling diabolically.
The daddy comment got under his skin huh.
I chuckle under my breath. He's calling Mr Faisal my daddy.
"Was that I who sent Jawad to the symbol of the retribution of Hemsworth? Maybe. Not because Jawad, or I wanted recompense against Mr Faisal, but perhaps because we wanted you dead. It could be, no? Do tell, can it be? Though that bastard was useless. Died by you. I still think, it all lined up." He sighs malevolently.
I'm thrown for a loop. I'm not as surprised, as I thought I'd be.
"I get why you would want me dead. But what the fuck did I do to Jawad?" I speak, yet with my back to Victor.
"Jawad was a pawn, leveraged by many, ashed by you."
"So, You're the one responsible for Jawad's roque step—" I say without turning back, forcing a calm tone to let it slip away for now. He's always been the one behind every disaster. Ifan was right all along.
"Even if you tell Mr Faisal all of that- He wouldn't believe you now that you've made it obvious you have problems with me. How foolish of you." He walks around me, my shoulders stiffens, and so does my jaw, I'm so ready to bust his face but I won't for Mr Faisal and because of such lack of surety.
I won't say I didn't suspect him, I did, I was just too afraid to admit it, to the point I myself covered for him when Ifan bashed on him. I couldn't make myself accept that 'that somone' has always been this close. Because As much as I hate Victor I never wanted it to be him.
"Don't you want to know who?" He asked.
I feel sick, more like rotting because, firstly, how does he know, how much I want to know about what he knows that I don't know. Holy crap that took a lot of brain to put together. I'm dying to know, but as much as I've been waiting to discover the truth, I can't stay here knowing that Ayat's back at home waiting for me, worrying if I'm okay, so no, I don't have the time right now. All that my mind is occupied by is Ayat.
"I'd love to vic but I have other priorities on my hand." I sarcasticly tap his shoulder bye.
"Your choice." He whispers behind me.
"My choice it is."
-
-
After three hours, I park my car in Ayat's garage, and I walk inside the house.
"How's she doing?" I put down the roses and candies I brought for her.
"She's in her room, she was waiting for you.." Ifan closes the main door. "These are the heart shaped candies she used to love, isn't it?" He looks at me.
"Yeah."
"I thought they stopped manufacturing this edition."
"I found them back in town."
"Cool.." I know he's awkward because I'm awkward, and he knows I'm feeling awkward which is why he's feeling awkward knowing that I'm awkward, because I'm awkward seeing him awkward. Damn.
I thought we moved on.
"I told you to keep the shit you go through away from her."
So that's the reason why he's back to square one, we were getting better before this happend. "I made him pay." I say.
"He'll come back again."
"I made sure he doesn't." Which will be hard considering Victor knows that now- and he'll do anything to use her as a threat to me. He knows my weakness now- and he will not sit right until he takes what he wants.
His quest on his side, he's forgetting I'm Sam Sarfaraz Yilmaz. I won't let him get what he wants, no matter what road I might have to take- because I don't lose, I take.
"You also made sure you wouldn't crumble again, but here we are." What the fuck did he just say?
"What do you mean?"
"I heard you destroyed your house."
"It was my house so what I destroyed it?"
"Sam this is not how we're supposed to deal with things."
"You do you sir, I don't give a fuck about your rules and regulations, you stay out of mine and let me do my thing, after all we did set those boundaries for a reason, didn't we?" I'm trying not to lash out. It'd be awful.
"I would let you do your thing If it didn't effect my sister, now that it has, your method of dealing is upsetting us."
"What I did that night has nothing to do with what happend today!?"
"What happend that night."
"I won't tell you even if I want to." I discovered my father was an ass.
"It was about your Father.."
I remain silent.
"When I left I wanted you to keep me away from all those missions- I never meant that you keep your personal issues to yourself."
"Yes it was about my Father."
"Tell me about it."
"Maybe later.." I say.
Ayat walks outside. "Hey.." My voice suddenly turns so soft, I walk to her, placing my hand on her forehand. "You have a fever." My gaze softens.
"Yeah it'd go away soon."
She's wearing a very pretty shade of pink silk night dress, slighly up her knees, but covered in a silk gown. The pink perfectly showcasing her light brown skin. She's a goddess.
Oh my God.
"Did she take her medicine?" I ask Ifan.
"Yes, she was being stubborn, but I handled it-" His phone starts ringing.
"Hey, yeah what's going Faiza?" He's speaking with Faiza. "How did that happend?" What happend now..
"I'll be there." He hangs up the call.
"Ayat baby I'm so sorry- Faiza just fell down the stairs, her ankle is fractured."
"What? How did that happend?" Ayat says shockingly. "God bless her." I say.
"I'll have to check up on her will you be alright?" He's feeling guilty leaving Ayat behind.
"Yeah yeah, I'm alright, I have Sam by my side, you go ahead be with her." For some reason that made me blush- I am by her side. I will be, always.
"Are you sure? I feel terrible leaving you-"
"No no no- its all okay, you should go-" She shoves his coat and wallet to him. "Go take care of her now and its thanksgiving tomorrow so don't forget to invite her, dinner at my place." She walks him out. Crazy how It's Thanksgiving already.
"Okay, okay. I won't, Sam take care of her."
"Yeah don't worry about it." I rub my elbow nervously. Soon enough Christmas will arrive and something tells me, things aren't very bright afterwards.
"Ba bye- I love you" He kisses Ayat's forehead and leaves.
-AYAT.
"I love you too, now hurry!" I close the door once he leaves.
"They're a thing now, aren't they?" Sam asks.
"They might be." I say. "honestly, I'll be glad if they are." I blush to myself. "They're like so good with each other."
"Would you be glad if I asked you out?" Sam's eyes darted away, his feet twisting uncomfortably, making his attempt to be nonchalant.
"Do you want orange juice? Ah— my favourite candy, did you brought these?." I change the subject on purpose. I'll answer his question, when he's over his ex.
"Yeah, I did." His voice lost all his light. "Ayat, don't you think we should talk about us?"
"Yum! These taste exactly how I remember them!" Is it my fever that is making me nauseous, or is it Sam? I get up. "I'll just put these in my pantry." I was about to walk away from him, but he blocks my way to the kitchen. "Let me." Without looking away, he gently takes the candy packet out of my hands. I unconsciously gulp the tension rising in my throat, as I see him taking a step closer to me, and I instinctively take a step back, but before I realise it, he pins me against the wall, my back cloliding with the wall surface. He cages me in, his arms resting on the wall beside me, blocking my escape.
"Don't you think it's stupid to assume I'm not over my ex, when I'm head over heels for you?" He whispers, leaning in closer. His chest touches mine, and I feel weak in the knees.
"I just don't want to get hurt by you." I sigh.
"Ayat—"
"Let me talk." I press my hand over his mouth, letting him know it's my turn to talk.
"If it was someone else, using me as a rebound, I wouldn't have cared. But I can not pretend to not care if its ever you hurting me." I say, my voice cracks.
He blinks. My hand yet covering his mouth. His warm breath touching my palm.
In an instant, he removes my hand from his mouth and presses his lips to mine, parting my lips with his own.
The candy packet he's been holding dropped on the floor, and he ran his free hand along the length of my leg. I pull my face back. "My fever will get to you." I panic.
"Then let it." he replies, his tone remained calm and a hint of pink flushed our cheeks when he swiftly wrapped his arms around my waist, lifting me as if its effortless, cradling my limp form against his chest.
My head lolled against his shoulder, my long hair spilling down his back. He adjusts his grip, holding me securely.
With gentle strides, he carried me across the room. The whole walk to my room felt surreal. I'm so in love with him, its not even a choice anymore.
He laid me down on my bed, I kept staring at him as he adjusted the pillow behind my head.
"Do you want coffee?" he asked.
"Yes." I reply.
And he went on out.
While I lay in my bed, my fever grew and is now making me dizzy, sucking the energy out of me and all I want to do is lay down.
"Who are you?" I yelled.
He pushed me aside, running his hands through our stuff, throwing, yelling, kicking the table aside, threw the pillows, looked through every drawer, cabinet. Broke half my mugs. Trying to find what?
"I'm calling the cops!" I shouted.
Why would someone from Sam's work would destory our house? Does he hate Sam? Is he jealous? Maniac? Mental?
"Ayat I spilled coffee on my shirt, do you have anything spare that I can wear?"
"Yeah I have some of your shirts from when you slept here."
When he was sick and I took care of him.
My voice is raspy, my throat is closing from my fever, my voice is hardly coming out clear.
He takes a shirt out and was about to walk outside.
"Stay-" I say, as a quick reflect.
"I have to change-"
"You can change." I say. What am I saying?
"Here?" His face flushed pink. I've never seen that man blush this way before.
What a privilege.
"Can't you?" I cough.
He laughs. "You're a maniac."
He takes off his shirt and I keep staring at him.
He is so charming, his face card is so unreal. His whole body is so unreal, so addictive, so spellbinding, observing like a drug.
"If you'll keep fluiding me with your eyes, I think my body's gonna catch on fire." He shucks under his breath. His commentary made my cheeks blush crazy.
"The fire only you have the power to put down." He says.
After putting on a fresh shirt he takes a seat right beside my bed, to check my fever one more time, his warm palms gripping my forehand makes me feel faint, how his warmth mean so much to me. How I'm so into this kid.
"It's wearing off." He says, standing up, with the intention of leaving.
"Sam" but I grasp his sleeve to stop him.
"Yes sweetheart?" His voice stayed gentle.
"Do I deserve you—giving me advice." I whisper.
He chuckles softly.
"Yes you do, you deserve more than me, but you need sleep for now."
"When will you go?" I murmur.
"I'll go once you fall asleep."
"I don't want to wake up and not see you near me."
What is wrong with me?
"Should I stay then?"
Yes
Yes
"No, it just slipped out of mouth, the fever is making me-"
"You don't need to justify yourself Ayat."
"What?"
"Can I stay?"
Yes
Yes
"Do you want to?"
He smiles nodding.
"Don't bite your nails, it's bad luck." He grabs my hand interlocking his fingers with mine. This threw me off graud. He was staring at my lips?
"It's a habit, don't worry about it." My hand is held in his.
"You cut yourself-" he presses his thumb against my lips and leaves me not being able to breathe.
"It happens all the time." I push his hand away, because the sexual intimacy is there, we can both feel it. It's better for him to leave right now. I should say this out loud. To be clear. But why am I not? His thumb's still on my bottom lip as his gaze slowly drops down.
I shouldn't, I shouldn't, I shouldn't.
We shouldn't.
Not before Ifan knows.
He's my brother's best friend. We've known each other our whole childhood. Ifan would lose his mind!
I shouldn't.
I kiss him. The sudden realisation hits me and I pull myself back, flinching both of us.
"Ayat?" He blinks.
"I'm sorry-"
"Have you been drinking?"
"What? No."
"So you did that in all your consciousness? Like you wanted to, right?"
I'm too embarrassed, so I say nothing. I just nod.
He chuckles, and then immediately kisses me, parting my lips with his own. He kisses me more. Pulls himself back for a minute, kicks his shoes off, and leans over me, his arm resting on the pillow beside me.
This is actually happening?
I melt right away and kissed him back.
His hand leading to my thigh and with each passing kiss, his grip tightens.
His lips grazed down my neck and he softly places his lips on my collarbone, gently increasing his suction pressure.
"Do you know you have a mole on your neck?" He whispers, softly and so out of breath.
"I never knew" My eyes roved between his. My breathing ragged.
"It's pretty." He traces my mole with his fingers. "You're pretty." He examines my features, admiring them, with his breath touching my face.
"These eyes." He places a sweet pack on my eye as I close them.
"This nose." He traces the bridge of my nose, adoring it.
"These rosy cheeks" He kisses my cheek and I chuckle, he smiles looking at me.
"Your hair" He tucks my curtain bangs behind my ear. "You're special." His eyes sparked with such warm regard. His brown beautiful eyes.
"I never knew I'd be this drawn to you." He says "and I don't feel wrong being so." He gives me a kiss leaving me wanting for more.
"My heart has never felt this flattered." He says. The tender look in his eyes makes me want to cry.
"I owe you sweetheart."
"owe me?"
"I owe you for making me feel so whole." His eyes turn fond, each glance so loving and soft.
As he kisses me furtherer, I wrap my arms around him, my hands clenching his shirt, pulling it up over his head. He tosses his shirt aside and pulls back slightly, his hair messy, his breathing ragged. He stands over me, half-leaning, and unbuttons his pants. As he did that, he slips under the sheets with me, and I moan, as he does.
He's a decent man. And here I was thinking it was just lust.
And maybe it is. But for now all I feel is.
Butterflies
Butterflies
Roaming around my stomach.
Butterflies.
-
-
Massive ringing of Sam's moblie wakes me up. "Sam baby please get that its tormenting my head." I growl in sleep, mumbling whatever words come out of my mouth.
"Di- you just call me baby?" He mumbles, his voice stays low and raspy in a whisper.
"Yeah why?" I rub my eyes. He runs his thumb through my lips before he locks his lips with mine, blended into a sweet kiss.
"Okaie, now get that" I push him back a little, laughing. His laugh being flirtatious brings butterflies again.
"It's a unknown number." He informs.
"Take it, maybe its important."
"Nah, later." He hangs up and draws his attention back on me and I feel a sudden urge to ask him. "Sam."
"Mhm?"
"What really am I to you?" I ask.
He draws a lazy trail down my body, adoringly. "You—feel like a cure." He whispers, his voice yet stayed raspy.
"A cure?"
"Ayat my eyes may never fully get fulfilled enough, because the more I look at you the more I want to keep looking." He traces the structure of my face so piercely, with so much grace.
The unknown caller calls again. "You might want to catch that first." I smile.
"Ugh yeah." He growls.
"Hello? Yes. Yeah it's Sam.." He talks with the caller, and I wait for him.
"Aunt?" He asked.
And a brick dropped in my stomach. Aunt-? What? Why?
"Oh- yeah, yeah. we'll be there." He said.
He's being careful with his words.
"What happened?"
"Ayat-" His face turned pale, as if he's going to puke. "Uncle died.." His voice bearly came out.
Oh no.
Oh no.
