Song Yun remained in his position even after Huo Feng left as he listened to the faint echo of his footsteps fading down the hallway.
He exhaled slowly, trying to steady his heartbeat. His hands were clenched tightly at his sides, not because he was afraid but because he was frustrated.
He understood Huo Feng's overprotectiveness. He really did. If he were in his shoes, maybe he'd act the same way.
But still, it stung to be seen as the enemy just because of his surname. It was at this point he hated having any relationship with the Songs.
"Song Yun," he muttered under his breath, his lips curling bitterly. "Always the shadow of Song Kai."
His phone buzzed, cutting through his thoughts.
He glanced at the screen and froze. A message from his brother.
Song Kai: "Heard you were at the clinic with Huo Feng's sister. Care to explain?"
