Chapter 232 - CHAPTER 231: Someone Who Must Not Be Provoked

"How is this possible? Did the Sanctuary respond to him? The gate has opened?"

The Archbishop was dumbfounded as he stared at the crimson magic circle before him.

Disturbed by the abnormal situation unfolding in front of him, he realized that something seemed to be gradually slipping out of the cult's control.

It was all Midnight's fault.

If he hadn't defeated Aurora, none of this would have happened. The sacred grounds originally occupied by the cult would not have opened their gates to the Night Raid, and everything else that followed would not have occurred.

Obviously, this was something that could not be allowed!

"I almost forgot. There's someone here who knows quite a lot. If you can speak, then please—say more."

Midnight suddenly teleported to Jack's side and placed his sword against the man's neck.

"Ah, as for you three lovely ladies, you may leave first. This matter has nothing to do with you… Just stay out of my affairs, and you'll live longer."

Rose and Iris began to sweat coldly. Anyone who had watched the battle knew that the man in black before them was one of the people in this world they absolutely could not afford to make an enemy of.

Iris Midgar felt a deep pity.

She thought that if Leon had been present, he might have been able to stand against Midnight.

It wasn't that she thought one side was stronger than the other—it was simply that both were far stronger than she had ever imagined.

Though, of course, such a wish was absolutely impossible to come true.

"So then, keep talking."

"W-What do you want me to say!?"

The tip of Midnight's long sword pressed lightly into the Archbishop Jack Nelson's fat body.

"Simple! In truth, the gate is not a physical door, but one that can freely change its form to accommodate those in need, the qualified, or even the unqualified."

It is also divided into the Gate of Calling, the Gate of Welcome, and the Gate of Rejection—but the specific type of gate can only be discovered by entering.

"Haha, now isn't that revealing?"

Leon mocked playfully.

Alpha, standing beside him, nodded as well.

Though they had gathered nearly all the information they could from the surface, the people inside the Cult of Diablos knew far more about the Holy Domain.

"This seems useful. Then I'll leave him to you, Epsilon. You have permission to use any means necessary to make the Archbishop confess everything he knows."

"Yes," replied the elf with the false chest.

By this time, the people in the audience had already fled, and the Night Raid girls did not stop those ordinary citizens from leaving.

After all, no matter how one put it, the Holy Domain was not something that could be openly revealed to the common folk.

"Haha~ Then I'll leave the rest to you."

Leon yawned, speaking disinterestedly.

"Fine, I'll handle it. But… you're not coming along?"

Alpha tilted her head and asked.

"It's better if I stay outside. Although the gate was opened on my side, it was meant to be opened by a descendant who carries both the blood of Diablos and the hero."

Leon shrugged.

According to the information they had gathered, many things within the Sacred Domain required the blood of someone with [Demonic Possession] in order to be accessed.

Of course, he could enter by force, but in the end, no matter what he did, he would only be brute-forcing his way through.

Like playing a labyrinth game but simply breaking down all the walls to reach the end without any regard.

"Besides, there are things outside that require attention. I'll cause a little destruction to the Holy Religion."

"W-What did you say?!"

Jack was immediately horrified. He hadn't expected Midnight to plan on attacking the Holy Religion directly.

"Do you even know what you're saying? If you attack the Holy Religion, you'll be labeled complete rebels, heretics, and terrorists! That would make you enemies of the entire world, do you understand!?"

"Haha, enemies of the world… doesn't that sound cool? When evil and ignorance become the mainstream, then justice and clarity are deemed sins. But what can I do? I simply follow the path laid before me. Always the same."

The magic power of the wind element condensed beneath Leon's feet.

It was impossible for ordinary people to fly using only the wind element, but Leon could enhance it with the dragon's power to soar through the skies.

In an instant, he flew dozens of meters upward.

His longsword, brimming with magic, pointed toward the Holy Religion's headquarters not far away—a massive building more luxurious than the palaces of many kingdoms—and unleashed a devastating wave of sword energy.

In the blink of an eye, the Holy Religion's headquarters, outwardly glorious and sacred yet inwardly corrupt and sinful, was split clean in two, collapsing into ruin.

They were now enemies of the world. But their will would never be bent by that fact, nor would they ever become prisoners of ignorance and lies.

There was no need for planning or orders. In that moment, all the girls who witnessed their master's fearless figure felt their blood boil and their souls ignite.

They cried out involuntarily, their conviction strengthened.

The faith in their hearts had been renewed once more.

As long as they could follow this master—

So what if they were enemies of the world?

The girls firmly believed that their beloved master would lead them toward a better future.

Even if they were to die along the way, if they could die in his embrace, they would die without regret!

Alpha simply smiled without saying a word.

There was nothing more she needed to say.

As the First Seat of the Night Raid, she was also the girl who had followed Leon since the very beginning.

Her devotion to him could no longer be described in words: trust, love, faith, loyalty, respect, desire, dependence… Alpha had long since given everything she had to Leon.

"All members of Night Raid, enter the Sanctuary!"

"Yes, Master Alpha!" xN

After witnessing Leon fly toward the church and cause widespread destruction, Alpha led the girls from the courtyard into the Sanctuary as well.

But not everyone behaved properly.

"I want to go hunting with Master! It will definitely be more fun there!"

The beast-girl with wolf ears and a tail was about to rush after Leon, but Alpha grabbed her tail.

"Delta, that's not the plan."

"No matter what, I'm going after Master!"

"There will be no snacks for dinner tonight."

"Then I'll still go! Master will give me some snacks anyway!"

Just like a stubborn child.

Rose, Iris, and Jack thought the same thing in unison. But… this obstinate girl was releasing the most terrifying magic power among everyone present—

Second only to Midnight and Alpha.

She was Delta.

The Fourth Seat of the Night Raid, once evaluated by Leon himself as: 'She traded all her intelligence for raw combat strength. She is Night Raid's humanoid weapon of mass destruction!'

There were only two people in this world capable of subduing Delta.

The first, of course, was Leon—

Leon, who had conquered and saved Delta in the past, earning her undying loyalty.

As for the second…

"Be obedient, can't you, Delta?"

Alpha lowered her voice as she spoke, and Delta—who until then had been so reckless—instantly cowered. The blonde elf exuded a terrifying, overwhelming aura.

Everyone present felt as though they were seeing a proud and domineering queen.

"Y-Yes! I'll be obedient! Please don't be angry, Master Alpha!"

Delta was the first to cross the Sanctuary Gate.

The girls around her all breathed sighs of relief, thinking to themselves that she truly deserved her spot as the one who had ranked first for ten years in a row in the 'Night Raid's People You Absolutely Must Not Provoke Ranking'.

She always seemed like a reliable older sister, but when she was angry, she was truly terrifying. That woman definitely carried the gaze of a ruler!

Sorry for the lack of chapters, many things happened these days that prevented me from updating.

"Hmph. If you really want to be useful, then entertain me, try to throw those pathetic power stones at me. Let's see if even your insolence can amuse a king."
