Night turned into days, and with every minute stretching, Aiden's anxiousness only grew more and more. He never left Arwen's side. When she stirred in her unconscious state, he held her hand as though protecting himself from losing her.
Seeing him like this, Jason was troubled. He tried his best to reassure him again and again, but he knew it wouldn't work until Arwen woke up and Aiden confirmed it himself that she was fine.
"Brother, you need to get some rest," Jason said, his voice laced with concern. "You can't go on like this. Just look at yourself. With four days and no sleep, you are looking sleep-deprived. Are you really going to let Arwen see you like this?"
Aiden's eyes didn't move. It remained at Arwen as he said, "Right now, my rest doesn't matter. What matters is her waking up. How long will it take more? Why hasn't she yet woken up?"
