Thane frowned as he watched Brooke get into Julian's car. He had tried convincing her not to go over there, but Brooke refused to listen.
And when he tried going with her, she refuted the idea, "Cassie saw you once at the audition, she knows you're the heir. She'll question our relationship if we show up together."
But Thane didn't care about anything of the sort, "Then come home, why do you need to see those people?"
"Because, I know them better than I know anyone, I'll know after talking to Serena if Luther isn't Cassie's actual father." She reasoned.
In a quieter tone she added, "And right now, I don't think I want to go home with you right now."
Reflecting on her words, Thane didn't know what he was feeling. Back when he picked her up from prison, he was definitely angry, but now his spirits were down, and in place of his usual affection was a hint of…tiredness?
