Chapter 136 - Ch 135 - The Impel Down

The salty breeze of the Grand Line howled gently, rustling through the sails of the Marine warship as it sliced across the endless blue sea.

Swoosh... Swoosh...

Waves parted on either side of the ship's reinforced hull with a persistent, rhythmic sound, sending gentle sprays of mist across the deck.

The Marine emblem fluttered high, golden against the backdrop of an azure sky painted with wisps of cloud.

On the upper deck, beneath a neatly mounted shade cloth, Vice Admiral Luffy lounged comfortably on a sturdy wooden chair, his Marine coat lazily draped over the back. A white cap tilted forward over his eyes, giving the illusion that he was asleep. But beneath the brim, sharp eyes remained half-lidded.

His coat bore the distinct Vice Admiral insignia, but he wore it with that same loose rebellion, never buttoned, never stiff, as if even the rank itself had to bend to his freedom.

Suddenly, the hurried footsteps of a Marine sailor echoed as he rushed to the front deck.

Tap! Tap! Tap!

Standing stiffly in front of Luffy, he raised his hand in a crisp salute.

"Vice Admiral Luffy, sir! We've reached Impel Down!"

Luffy's eyes slowly opened as he pulled the cap off his head, running a hand through his unruly black hair. He looked ahead… and there it was.

Impel Down!

The largest prison in the entire world. A monstrous iron fortress rising from the middle of the sea like a dark, ancient god watching over purgatory. Its looming, spiraling structure stretched downwards into the sea, but from above the waterline alone, its massive presence struck fear into the hearts of even the bravest.

Towering gates surrounded it—thick, reinforced metal reinforced with Sea Stone and coated with protective Haki runes. Chains thicker than ship masts hung around its massive body, each link a testament to the cruel strength used to hold the most dangerous beings on the planet.

Turrets stood like silent sentinels, aimed and ready. No sounds escaped from within—only silence and the deep hum of foreboding energy.

Clunk!Clunk!

Heavy chains rattled in rhythm as the anchor lowered. Beside Luffy, seated on a bench with her legs crossed, Rear Admiral Hina stood up and stretched her long, shapely limbs. Her dark purple hair shimmered in the sunlight, contrasting sharply with her tight, form-fitting Marine uniform, which accentuated her curves.

She looked every bit the cold, beautiful woman she was feared for, but when her gaze turned to Luffy, there was warmth in her eyes.

"Everyone, prepare to drop anchor!" She ordered, voice crisp like a blade. "Ready the ramp. We're docking."

"Aye, ma'am!" The sailors chorused.

From a nearby mast, Kuina stepped down, her hand gripping the hilt of her sword lightly. Her marine jacket, casually draped over one shoulder, gave her a rebellious but professional air. Her long blue hair fluttered as she walked beside Hina, stealing a sideways glance at Luffy and the tower beyond.

"Creepy place…" She muttered. "I don't like the vibe."

Luffy rose from his chair and stretched his arms wide.

Crack! Crack!

His joints popped.

"I hate it too," He said, adjusting his coat over his shoulders without putting his arms through the sleeves. "But we're not here for a vacation. Let's get this over with."

Thump! Thump!

Behind them, footsteps thumped in rhythm.

Zoro appeared, hands tucked into his sash, three swords resting on his hip. He was flanked by a line of disciplined Marines, and behind them, rows and rows of captured pirates, numbering easily over a hundred.

Some were glaring. Others had lowered eyes. But not a single one dared to resist. Despite being unshackled, they walked like condemned men.

They were filled with fear. It clung to them like sweat.

Because at the front of the line, walking like a king among insects, was the man responsible for their defeat.

Divine Fist Luffy.

The Vice Admiral who never used a weapon, nor Devil Fruit power. He destroyed ships with his bare hands, crushed bones with a single strike, and outsped bullets with ease.

Some said his fists glowed like suns before landing. Others whispered that his eyes burned straight through your will to live.

The pirates had tried to fight. They remembered. And now… they marched like cattle to the slaughterhouse.

One of them, trembling, whispered to the man beside him, "W-We're not even cuffed…"

"I'd rather have the cuffs," Another muttered, eyes darting toward Luffy's back. "At least then I could pretend I had a chance."

Ahead, the ship finally slowed.

THUUUUUUUUUM!

The anchor dropped with a booming finality, sending ripples across the still waters. A plank extended. The moment it touched the dock.

Clack!

A single high-heeled step echoed across the stone.

Standing at the front gate of Impel Down, arms folded and chin high, was Deputy Warden Hannyabal.

He was a large, oddly comical man with a square jaw, an exaggerated mustache that curled like serpents, and a stern, overdone expression of justice. His horns—yes, actual horns—rose from his head like a demonic headpiece, part of his ridiculous ceremonial armor that made him look like a rejected kabuki actor.

Despite his clownish appearance, he stood firm.

"Welcome, Vice Admiral Luffy!" He shouted, his deep voice shaking the iron plating of the gate. "Impel Down is ready to accept the prisoners you've brought!"

Beside him, a much more refined figure stood with arms behind her back—Head Jailer Domino.

Tall and statuesque, with flawless white-blond hair tied into a high ponytail, Domino's tight-fitting uniform was as pristine as ever. She wore mirrored glasses that hid her cold, calculating eyes, and her every movement was precise. She carried herself with the strict pride of one who had never failed her duties.

Next to her, lounging with a whip coiled around her waist, was Sadi, the fiery Chief Guard.

Dressed in her signature dominatrix-like uniform, Sadi was voluptuous and chaotic, with wild red hair flowing like fire. Her outfit left little to the imagination, leather hugging every inch of her dangerous curves. She licked her lips when she saw Luffy approaching.

"Well, well~ Vice Admiral Luffy. Long time no see~" She purred, tailing her whip behind her.

Luffy scratched the back of his head and grinned. "Still freaky as ever, huh, Sadi-chan?"

Sadi giggled. "And you've grown up… how delicious~"

Domino cleared her throat. "Sadi. Control yourself."

Hina stepped forward, her eyes narrowing at the exchange, clearly displeased with Sadi's tone.

Kuina just folded her arms with a smirk.

"She's got guts," She muttered. "Not sure if it's bravery or just masochism."

"Both," Zoro answered flatly.

Meanwhile, Hannyabal stepped forward to personally inspect the prisoners. As he looked into their fearful eyes and noted their lack of restraints, he frowned.

"Vice Admiral Luffy, are these criminals… not cuffed?"
