Chapter 135 - Ch 134 - Divine Fist's Terror

The wind howled across the Grand Line, tugging fiercely at the sails of a pirate ship as it cut through the foaming waves.

FWOOOOOOSH!

Splash! Splash! Splash!

The sky was clear, the sea glistening under the warm golden sun. The ocean parted in shimmering crests beneath the wide hull of the vessel, gliding with confidence and arrogance, much like the crew aboard.

On deck, raucous laughter echoed as drunken pirates danced and cheered, raising tankards overflowing with ale. Barrels rolled across the wooden planks, music played from a dented trumpet, and the scent of roasted meat wafted in the salty air. A feast was underway.

"Oi! Bring me more meat!" A burly man barked with wild red hair and a scar that split across his jaw.

"Aye, Captain!" A trembling crewmate scurried off.

Women giggled around the makeshift tables, gamblers tossed dice, and someone in the crow's nest sang a terribly off-key sea shanty. It was a scene of pure pirate revelry.

That is, until a sharp, anxious voice rang out.

"Captain! Ship on the horizon!"

Clink!

The music and laughter came to an abrupt stop.

A tankard hit the floor.

Thump!

A deckhand tripped and fell.

"Eh?" The red-haired captain turned his head lazily, waving off the panic. "So what? It's just the Marines. We've seen dozens."

"N-No, Captain!" The lookout squeaked, practically trembling. "It's… It's him!"

"Who?! Spit it out, dammit!"

"The flag… It's Vice Admiral Luffy! Divine Fist Luffy!"

The words hit harder than a cannonball.

Silence crashed over the deck like thunder.

Every pirate's face paled as if the life had drained from their bodies.

The captain's mug slipped from his hand and shattered. "D-Don't joke about that... you sure!?"

"Positive! The black flag... there's no mistaking it!"

Murmurs of panic erupted.

"W-We're doomed!"

"Why is he here!?"

"Wasn't he supposed to be in Marineford!?"

"He destroyed the Kraken Pirates last month with one punch!"

Their hearts thumped like war drums, and their knees buckled.

A few even vomited from the fear.

Instantly, the captain's bravado evaporated.

"SHIT! TURN THE SHIP AROUND! FULL SAIL! GET US OUTTA HERE!" He roared, kicking over a barrel in a panic.

Crash!

"Captain!" One pirate screamed, pointing toward the sky. "TOO LATE! HE'S COMING!"

WHOOSH!

From the Marine ship sailing steadily toward them, a blur shot through the air, fast as lightning, almost invisible to the naked eye.

BOOM!

The sound of air splitting echoed through the skies.

"Luffy—WAIT!" Hina shouted from the deck, her voice urgent. She had sensed the shift in the wind and the sudden tension in the air. "Don't go alone! Let us support you!"

But her words never reached him.

Luffy was already airborne, grinning with excitement, his coat billowing behind him like a cape. His black hair fluttered as his body hurtled through the sky like a missile. The sun reflected off his fists, wrapped tightly in black Armament Haki, ready to bring down judgment.

"...Tch, that reckless idiot," Hina muttered, crossing her arms, lips twitching with concern despite herself.

Zoro, seated casually at the edge of the ship, was polishing one of his swords with a soft cloth. His movements were slow, deliberate, and completely unfazed.

"Don't waste your breath," Zoro said without even glancing up. "You should be worrying about them, not him."

Kuina stood beside him, arms crossed under her chest, a soft giggle escaping her lips.

"True," She added, eyes shining with amusement. "They're not facing just any Marine. It's Luffy we're talking about... the Divine Fist. Poor bastards."

Back on the pirate ship, panic turned to hysteria.

"He's gonna crush us!"

"Abandon ship!"

"Jump—JUMP FOR YOUR LIVES!"

The captain shouted desperately, "ALL HANDS TO THE CANNONS! FIRE EVERYTHING WE HAVE!"

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Dozens of cannonballs flew into the air, but before they could even reach their target, the figure in the sky twisted his body mid-flight.

His fists blurred into a storm of punches coated with Haki, glowing with condensed power, shattering the incoming cannonballs like pebbles.

BOOM! CRACK! SHHH!

"Impossible...! He crushed our cannonballs! Mid-air!?"

BOOM!

Luffy landed with a thunderous explosion, the deck cracking under the force of his arrival. A shockwave exploded outward, sending several pirates flying.

The scent of smoke and burning wood filled the air.

The captain stumbled back, trembling.

"You—You monster!"

Luffy grinned, cracking his knuckles.

"I'm no monster... I'm just a guy with one mission. And your bounty's about to pay for my lunch."

"W-We surrender!"

"TOO LATE!" Another pirate shouted as Luffy grinned.

Luffy stood tall, wind ruffling his coat as it billowed behind him, the Marine insignia blazing in white and gold. His arms were crossed. His gaze was calm—but lethal. His Haki poured out like a tidal wave.

BOOM... BOOM... BOOM...

Several pirates collapsed on the spot with foam bubbling from their mouths. The others fell to their knees, sweating, teeth chattering.

THUD! THUD! THUD!

"Th-This pressure... It's Conqueror's Haki...!" One whispered, tears welling in his eyes.

"N-No Devil Fruit powers?!" Another screamed, watching Luffy crack his knuckles with a lazy grin. POP. POP.

"That's right," Luffy said, his voice casual but laced with menace. "You guys aren't even worth that much effort."

SWOOSH!

He vanished, appearing in front of the captain in a flash of Soru.

WHAM!

One punch.

It only took him just one punch.

The captain went flying, crashing into the mast with enough force to snap it in half.

"CAPTAAAAIN!" the crew screamed, horrified.

Luffy turned toward the others. "Who's next?"

He didn't wait.

BOOM!

He was in their midst, fists flying, each strike exploding with Armament Haki. He moved like a blur, fists dancing with brutal grace, every motion flawless.

Each strike sent men flying, breaking weapons, snapping bones, or simply rendering them unconscious.

The pirates tried to escape, some diving into the ocean, others trying to lower the lifeboats.

Within three minutes, the entire deck was littered with groaning bodies. Some were buried halfway in broken wood. Others had passed out cold from fear before even getting hit.

Luffy stood amidst the wreckage, cracking his neck.

"Next time," He said out loud, "try running sooner."

Moments later, Hina's Marine ship docked beside the broken pirate vessel.

She stepped off gracefully, surveying the battlefield with a sigh and a proud smile.

"Honestly," She muttered, "couldn't you at least leave one for me?"

Kuina and Zoro followed behind her, equally casual.

Zoro scratched his head. "At this rate, Luffy's gonna break the ship before we can arrest them."

Kuina giggled again. "He likes to leave an impression."

Luffy turned around, winking at Hina. "You were worried about me?"

She said with a straight face. "It's protocol."

"But I like it when you worry," He teased, stretching lazily.

She rolled her eyes but blushed lightly.

As the Marines began rounding up the unconscious pirates, Zoro slung his sword over his shoulder.

"I'll handle the paperwork," He muttered, clearly annoyed.

Luffy just laughed, walking past the unconscious captain and whistling.

Another job done.

Another day of freedom.
