Chapter 62 - Extra Dimensional Cube

After suffering a crushing defeat at the hands of the Sage Force, Wally knew there was no time to slack off—except when it came to family. His mind was now firmly set on one goal: reaching Earth 512.

To achieve this, he needed to modify the Tachyon Prism. Fortunately, with the current level of technology at his disposal, there was no need to tamper with the original prism responsible for stabilizing the pocket dimension. He could simply replicate it and modify the copy as needed.

Without wasting time, Wally got to work. He sketched out a rough design, then assembled the necessary parts. After a quick glance and some thoughtful consideration, he knew exactly how to proceed. His hands moved with lightning speed, becoming a blur of motion as he brought his vision to life.

Creating a device capable of accessing parallel Earths was a monumental challenge fraught with risks. The lab was eerily quiet as Wally stood at the cluttered workbench, tools scattered haphazardly across its surface.

The Tachyon Prism, though nearly complete, was just one piece of a complex puzzle. Several other components were essential to properly break through the frequency barrier of any parallel Earth. Without them, unforeseen consequences could arise — including being flung out of space and time.

Satisfied with his progress on the Prism, Wally decided to leave the final touches to Alfred. He moved to a separate room, neither too large nor too small — perfectly suited for his purpose.

This room would house the dimensional gateway he envisioned. The frame for the gateway had already been partially crafted. At Wally's instruction, Alfred had built a rough framework while Wally had been busy with the Prism. Now, it was time to bring the gateway to life.

With the frame partially set, Wally dove into his work. The components and materials were already prepared — gravitational field stabilizers, Speedforce energy containers with energy harvesters, superconducting coils, and other specialized equipment. Sparks crackled in the air, lighting up the room like flickering fireflies.

His figure flashed back and forth in rapid bursts of motion, gradually assembling what began to resemble a massive gateway. Its appearance took the shape of a towering, futuristic door.

Despite his lightning-fast movements, the machine was far from complete. The reason was simple: most of the components had to be custom-built. This painstaking process involved designing, fabricating, and authenticating each part to ensure they met the exact requirements for the dimensional gateway.

Faced with the complexity of the project, Wally made a strategic decision: he would split the gateway into three parts for better optimization, assembling each section individually with its required components.

An hour passed in the blink of an eye. Through relentless effort, he had completed the first section and was halfway through the second. Glancing at his progress, he allowed himself a brief smile. 'Almost there. Just a bit more,' he thought, already envisioning the endless possibilities once the machine was fully operational.

Pushing future musings aside, he immersed himself once again in the creation of the grand device. Sparks flew as his hands moved with purpose.

Suddenly, Alfred's voice broke his concentration. Still focused on piecing together the gateway, Wally barely spared him a glance, offering only a fragment of his attention.

"What is it, Alfred?" he asked, exasperation lacing his tone as his mind remained partially divided. He was already thinking ahead — not just about the gateway but about the new creations he had planned during their journey to Earth-2 to rescue Harry.

Nanomachines, or nanobots as they were often called, lingered in Wally's thoughts. If he had already created these advanced swarms, he wouldn't be stuck handling trivial tasks like this. Sure, Alfred could control and manipulate droids to assemble the gateway, but that method was painfully slow compared to the unmatched speed of a speedster.

Still, nanobots operated on a whole different level. If deployed in large enough swarms, construction could be completed in the blink of an eye. Their potential went beyond mere assembly — if their design and programming were advanced enough, they could even transform into the very components needed for the project.

It was an enticing thought. With the right coding and precise instructions, Wally knew these tiny marvels could revolutionize his work, freeing him to focus on greater challenges ahead.

Wally made a mental note: he would create the nanobots before planning his journey to Earth 512. Their utility extended far beyond construction—they could be used for practically anything, from advanced diagnostics to combat assistance. The possibilities were limitless.

Beyond that, it was time to move on to the next stage of the regeneration enhancement procedure. Unlike the intellect enhancement, which required only one more stage to reach its absolute limit, the regeneration enhancement still had two stages left.

Wally decided to complete the fourth stage first and assess the results before proceeding further. He had a strong sense that the final stage would be a turning point.

During the one-week window he allocated to sorting everything out before his journey, the West Tech building would also require significant renovations.

Suddenly, his rapid thoughts came to a halt as Alfred's words finally registered.

"Sir, the dress has been prepared and delivered. The awaited time is almost at hand," Alfred informed.

Wally sighed. "Okay, okay. Just continue from where I stopped while I'm gone," he said, sparing Alfred a final glance before exiting the Pocket dimension in a fading blur.

Returning to his villa, Wally swiftly made his way to the closet, scanning through the neatly arranged suits. He selected a sleek, high-end tuxedo, knowing that tonight's destination demanded nothing less. The choice also had to complement the dress he had prepared for Jesse.

After adjusting the tuxedo and giving himself a final once-over in front of the mirror, Alfred's voice echoed through the villa.

"Sir, the car is ready," Alfred informed.

Wally's brows furrowed. Car? He vaguely recalled purchasing a luxury car early on but had barely used it. Speed was his natural mode of transportation, after all. The idea of riding in a car seemed almost quaint to him now. Still, tonight was different — appearances mattered.

He calmly exited his villa and made his way to the driveway, where the car waited, engine humming and door already open in anticipation. Since he hadn't given Alfred specific instructions when requesting a car, Alfred had selected one based on his own preference.

As Wally approached the sleek Audi RS7 with its open doors, he sighed in mild approval. It was a fine choice, enhanced further by Alfred's private modifications, including advanced self-driving capabilities.

The car smoothly merged onto the road, drawing awestruck glances from passersby as it glided through the city streets. Maintaining a steady speed, the journey to S.T.A.R. Labs took just over thirty minutes.

Arriving at S.T.A.R. Labs, Wally stepped out of the car, his tuxedo catching the soft glow of the lab's exterior lights. He took a moment to scan the area before heading inside. The corridors were quiet, a stark contrast to the usual bustling energy of the facility. Most of the team had already left for the day, leaving only essential personnel behind.

As he made his way to the Cortex, he received knowing glances from Caitlin, who gave him a heartwarming smile. After asking for Jesse's whereabouts, he made his way to the lounge.

Glancing around at the entrance, he noticed her figure immediately. She stood by the window, her silhouette illuminated by the city lights beyond. Her dress, a stunning deep blue gown that hugged her form gracefully, sparkled subtly under the ambient light.

Wally's heart skipped a beat. For all the worlds he had raced across and the wonders he had seen, nothing compared to seeing Jesse like this—beautiful, stunning, breathtaking; simple words couldn't describe it.

He took a deep breath, adjusting his tuxedo one last time before stepping into the room. Jesse turned at the sound of the door, her expression softening as her eyes met his.

"You're here early," she said, a playful smile tugging at her lips as she gave Wally a once-over, admiring his figure.

"You look... beautiful," Wally admitted sincerely.

Jesse's smile widened, a hint of color rising to her cheeks. Flustered by his compliment, she brushed a hand through her hair.

"You don't look too bad yourself," she teased, locking eyes with him.

As the compliments faded, Wally's gaze shifted to the necklace around her neck—the same one he'd given her when their relationship began.

"That necklace suits you. You really seem to like it," he noted.

She chuckled softly, her fingers grazing the pendant. "Yeah, I do. It symbolizes the beginning of us," she said, her gaze shyly averted.

Just then, Cisco interrupted, his expression comically grave. "Oh my, since when?" he said, his face plastered with a dramatically exaggerated look of disbelief.

"Hey, Cisco," Wally greeted with a smile, clearly amused by his friend's antics.

"You two look good together," Cisco said, giving them an approving nod. His gaze was a mix of acknowledgment and something else—longing, perhaps. Wally saw right through it. Gypsy was still on his mind. But that was Cisco's problem to work through.

"Okay, we're taking off now," Wally said, his hand finding Jesse's as he gently pulled her toward the stairs.

"Have a great night," Cisco's voice echoed after them as they disappeared around the corner.aa
