Andrew's heart kicked back into gear, his whole body unfreezing as he stared at the embarrassed, awkward Maxwell across from him.
"What? When? Where? Did this happen at your latest Doctor appointment?" Andrew felt the flood of questions leave his mouth and winced. He was sure that the other man didn't want to talk about it, but Maxwell exceeded his expectations.
He looked guilty, nervous, as if this was something to be ashamed of. Andrew was only filled with concern for the other man. He looked down at the plate in front of him, his hand squeezing Andrew's tightly in his grasp.
"I…spoke to Michael today at lunch. I don't know if you've noticed but…I've been a little weird." Andrew had noticed. Of course he had, but he just chalked it up to them moving, all of the alpha pheromones in the house, and stress. The fact that Maxwell had turned to a Doctor on his own, even Michael, made Andrew realise this was probably a lot bigger than he thought. It was a lot bigger than he thought!
