Chapter 221 - Chapter 118 Saiyans' Problems Should Be Solved by The Saiyans Themselves (Part 3)

This is Planet Lossa.

It is approximately 10,000 light-years away from Planet Nutts.

On the surface, this planet appears earth-grey, giving off a feeling of utter desolation and lifelessness.

In other words, it is a dead star on the path to extinction.

However, just one day ago, this planet was still full of life and teeming with boundless vitality.

Yet in just a single day, all the life energy of the entire planet was drained completely, turning it into a dead planet.

And the culprit behind the planet's demise was none other than a gigantic tree of unimaginable size.

From the vantage point of space, one could see this massive tree rooted into the planet. Together, the planet and the tree could be likened to a bonsai.

That's right, the planet is like the pot, and the tree is like something planted inside it.

This is the Tree of Might!

The tree's growth requires an immense amount of life energy for sustenance. Even a planet as large as Lossa, which ranks among the massive ones, could not support the Tree of Might's absorption.

At the same time.

Talot and his group arrived on this desolate planet via Instant Transmission.

The barren scene before their eyes was a clear sign of a planet's impending doom.

Especially that towering tree blocking out the sky, it was a sight they had never seen before, an utterly shocking spectacle.

"What a massive tree! Unbelievable," Raditz exclaimed in awe.

"That tree… I think I've seen it in some records somewhere. Could it be???" Jaco cried out in surprise, hurriedly pulling a strange notebook from his waist pouch and flipping to a page for comparison.

"Well, well, so you've been hiding a notebook like this, full of so many exotic species. Why didn't you show it to us before?" Tights leaned in curiously, her interest piqued.

Even Talot found it surprising. Jaco wasn't exactly reliable, but every now and then, he pulled off something unexpected.

This notebook contained records of some very special items from the universe.

"No need to look further. According to what North Kai told me, this is the Tree of Might! This planet was originally a life planet, but because someone planted this tree here, all of its life force was absorbed, and it turned into what you see now," Talot explained.

"So, this whole planet ended up like this… all because of that giant tree?" Bulma took out her high-tech super glasses.

A pair of advanced virtual glasses, loaded with an intelligent system and various scanning and analysis functions, including all the features of the former scouter.

"Though I can't sense any aura on this planet anymore, there are still two fairly strong auras on that big tree. And one of them feels very familiar… If I'm not mistaken, it should be that Amond I defeated back then," said Salari, shifting her gaze toward the top of the Tree of Might.

[It seems Turles' attack on the Galactic Prison was just a coincidence, otherwise, he wouldn't have only Amond by his side. Probably, he really came to Planet Nutts by chance to plant the Tree of Might, never expecting it to be the Galactic Patrol branch's lair.] Talot thought to himself, suspicions forming in his mind.

With Turles's current strength, how could he possibly dare to invade a Galactic Patrol branch all by himself?

He still hasn't gathered the other subordinates from the original work.

So, there's only one possibility.

To be honest, Turles should be grateful that Planet Nutts has been weakly guarded recently, with few Galactic Patrolman around. Otherwise, with his current strength, barging in recklessly would only have resulted in him being captured.

"Let's go. Let's take a look at our fellow Saiyan," Talot said, then immediately brought the group and used Instant Transmission again.

...

Central Area at the top of Tree of Might.

This is the heart of the tree, the true core of the Tree of Might.

The crimson Tree of Might's fruits had already ripened, and in large numbers.

As a medium-to-large life planet, Planet Lossa provided an enormous amount of energy to the Tree of Might. So, not only were the fruits especially plump, they were also abundant in quantity.

Such a sight made Turles grin from ear to ear.

This wasn't his first time planting Tree of Might's fruit, so he knew exactly what this meant!

Standing beside him, Amond looked at the dozens of ripened Tree of Might's fruits, and greed had already begun to rise in his heart, but he suppressed it well.

Since escaping from Planet Nutts, he had been following Turles.

He also knew that Turles was a Saiyan, and inwardly hated him to the bone.

"Not bad, not bad. This planet is really of excellent quality. With this many Tree of Might's fruits, if I eat them all, my strength will definitely skyrocket! Hehehehe~~!" Turles was already fantasizing.

There were some things he didn't dare to say aloud, because the scouter he wore had monitoring functions.

He could only think silently in his heart. With Tree of Might's fruits in his hands, there would one day come a time when he could break free from that guy's control and become the true ruler of the universe!!

"Lord Turles, are these the Tree of Might's fruits? Are you sure these fruits can really increase our strength?" Amond, though inwardly tempted, feigned ignorance and asked.

"Of course! But the Tree of Might's fruit only provides a temporary increase in strength. The amount of power that can be retained long-term isn't much. However, with so many fruits this time, the permanent power level increase certainly won't be small either," Turles replied.

The fact that the power couldn't be completely absorbed and retained left Talot, Salari, and Raditz, who had just arrived here, momentarily stunned.

Bulma, Tights, and Jaco were also staring at the bright red fruits hanging in the core of the tree.

"Brother Talot, these Tree of Might's fruits really resemble those blood fruits from back then," Salari remarked.

Raditz didn't know about the blood fruits, as they hadn't all been together at that time.

"If they enhance strength, then of course they're the same type. But the Tree of Might's fruits absorb the entire planet's life force, so the effect should be even greater," Talot responded vaguely.

"But if it can't be retained, then even if the Tree of Might's fruit boosts your power temporarily, it's not of much use," Raditz criticized.

What good is a temporary power boost?

Kaio-ken was more straightforward and effective than that.

Raditz didn't know that in the original work, the Tree of Might's fruit was said to be fruit only gods could consume.

Its boost wasn't merely superficial. Just because Turles couldn't absorb it completely didn't mean others couldn't.

If you judge by how Turles behaved in the original work, he simply used his body to endure the fruit's baptism.

Otherwise, his power wouldn't have rapidly declined after a brief burst, ultimately leading to his miserable death, annihilated by Goku's Spirit Bomb.

But if one combined it with Ki training to refine the energy, how much could be retained then?

"Still, come to think of it, that fellow Saiyan's back looks a bit familiar… it seems like…" Salari said after watching for a long while, unable to hold back her thought.

"Hmph! Looks like my dad, right? But I can be sure, that's not him," Raditz said with a stern expression.

The conversation was getting louder, and with it, aura fluctuations followed, alerting Turles, who had been immersed in his own fantasies, and triggering a warning from his scouter.
