Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The golden gaze in the graveyard

The air in the Lukso Province was no longer the scent of crisp mountain grass and blooming wildflowers. It was thick, metallic, and cloying—the unmistakable stench of a slaughterhouse.

Kurapika's hands were raw, his fingernails caked with the red-brown earth of the Kurta clan's hidden valley. He didn't feel the pain. He didn't feel the cold wind biting at his skin. He only felt the hollow, cavernous ache in his chest that threatened to swallow him whole. Behind him, dozens of mounds of fresh earth marked the resting places of his kin. His mother, his father, Elder... everyone.

He reached for the next body in the tall grass. It was a small boy, barely ten years old. Kyota.

Kurapika remembered him vaguely. Kyota had always been a frail child, born with a weak constitution that kept him indoors most of his life. He was the quiet shadow behind his parents during the harvest festivals, his pale face often buried in a book. He was two years younger than Kurapika, a boy who had barely begun to live before the spiders descended to tear his world apart.

As Kurapika reached down to lift the boy's limp form, his fingers brushed against Kyota's neck. He froze.

Thump.

It was faint. A ghostly vibration against his fingertips.

Thump-thump.

"No..." Kurapika whispered, his breath hitching. "Kyota?"

He pressed his ear to the boy's chest. Beneath the tattered, blood-stained tunic, a heart was beating. It was erratic, struggling against the tide of death, but it was there.

"Kyota! Can you hear me?" Kurapika cried out, his voice cracking. He pulled the boy into his lap, frantic eyes searching for the wounds. He knew what he would find. He knew the Troupe's ritual. They tortured the children to make the parents' eyes turn the most brilliant scarlet, and then...

Kurapika's blood ran cold. Kyota's eyelids were caked with dried blood. The sockets were sunken. The Troupe had already taken them.

But as Kurapika watched, something impossible happened.

The jagged lacerations across Kyota's chest began to knit together. The deep bruises on his arms faded from purple to a faint yellow, then vanished entirely. Steam—faint and white—rose from the boy's skin.

What is this? Kurapika wondered, his eyes widening. Medical treatment? No, it's coming from inside him. Is this... a miracle?

Inside the darkness of Kyota's mind, a cold, mechanical voice flickered like a dying candle.

[Initialization... Transmigration Successful.]

[User: Kyota (Soul: Reincarnated)]

[Loading 'God-Slayer' System...]

Where am I? the soul wondered. Memories of a life lived in a world of skyscrapers and screens flashed by, immediately followed by the agonizing screams of a boy named Kyota being butchered by a man with a cold, smiling face.

[Error... Error...]

[Incompatibility detected between World Laws and System Logic.]

[System failed to manifest. Critical failure.]

The voice became distorted, overlapping with static.

[Compensation Protocol active.]

[Opening all Aura Nodes... 100% Flow achieved.]

[Granting Basic Principles: Ten, Zetsu, Ren, Hatsu.]

[Analyzing Final Request... Eye replacement required.]

[Bestowing Gift: The Golden Rinnegan (Momoshiki Variation).]

[Transferring Memories of Previous Host...]

[System Finalizing... Goodbye.]

Wait! the soul screamed, but the darkness shattered.

Kyota's eyes snapped open.

A wave of nausea hit him instantly. It wasn't just the physical sensation of breathing again; it was the influx of memories. He saw his mother being held down, her eyes wide with terror as she watched a blade descend toward Kyota's face. He felt the cold steel against his own optic nerve. He heard the laughter of the Phantom Troupe—the spiders who treated human life like a discarded husk.

"BLEGH!"

Kyota rolled over and retched, vomiting bile and blood onto the dirt. The horror was too fresh, too visceral. He wasn't just a man from Earth anymore; he was the boy who had been tortured. The rage of two lives merged into a singular, burning sun of hatred.

"Kyota! You're awake! Don't move, you're hurt—" Kurapika's voice was frantic, but he stopped mid-sentence.

Kyota looked up, wiping his mouth. He saw Kurapika—the survivor, the vengeful chain user—staring at him with a look of pure bewilderment.

"Your... your eyes," Kurapika stammered.

Kyota blinked. He didn't feel the emptiness of missing sockets. Instead, his vision was sharper than anything he had ever experienced. He could see the flow of energy—the golden shimmer—radiating from his own body. He could see the faint, flickering aura around Kurapika.

He looked into a nearby puddle of rainwater. Reflected back were eyes that did not belong to a Kurta. They were a brilliant, shimmering gold, etched with concentric circles that rippled outward from the pupil.

"How did you survive?" Kurapika asked, his voice trembling with a mix of relief and suspicion. "The Troupe... they took your eyes, Kyota. I saw the wounds. And now they're... these."

Kyota took a deep breath, his mind racing. He couldn't explain the System or reincarnation. He had to play the part of the traumatized survivor.

"I don't know," Kyota lied, his voice raspy. "Everything was dark. The pain was... it was more than I could take. But after they took them and left me for dead, I felt it. A warm energy, like a river of gold, started flowing through my blood. It felt like it was stitching me back together."

"Energy?" Kurapika knelt beside him. "Like the stories the Elder told? About the hidden power of our blood?"

"Maybe," Kyota said, looking at his hands. He felt a reservoir of power within him, but he also felt a chilling realization. This power wasn't free. Every time he felt the "tug" of those golden eyes, he felt a sliver of his life force—his very time on this earth—shave away. "It felt like something woke up inside me because I refused to die. I refused to let them win."

"And your eyes? Why are they gold? Why aren't they... scarlet?"

Kyota shook his head, feigning confusion. "I don't know. When that energy hit my face, it felt like it was forming something new. Maybe it's a mutation. Maybe it's a curse."

He stood up, his legs shaking at first, but then a surge of physical strength flooded his muscles. He felt denser, heavier, more powerful than a ten-year-old had any right to be.

"Wait, Kyota, you're still weak!" Kurapika reached out, but Kyota stepped away.

"I'm not weak," Kyota said. The memories of the Troupe member—a man with a needle-filled face—laughing as he carved into Kyota's skin flashed before him. "That energy... I can still feel it. It's like I can control it."

Kyota instinctively pulled at the shroud of energy around him. He didn't know the names yet, but he followed the "System's" lingering imprint. Ten. The aura stabilized, wrapping around him like a protective skin.

He turned toward a large granite boulder that had fallen from the cliffs during the attack. He felt the Golden Rinnegan pulse. In an instant, he didn't just see the rock; he saw its structural weaknesses. He saw the "fate" of the rock—a vision of it shattering.

He lunged forward, his small fist glowing with a faint golden light.

BOOM!

The impact sounded like a cannon blast. The boulder didn't just crack; it disintegrated where his fist landed, a massive crater forming in the center as spiderweb fractures raced across the entire three-ton stone.

Kurapika fell back, shielding his eyes from the dust. "What... what kind of strength is that?"

Kyota stood over the ruined rock, his knuckles unbruised. He looked back at Kurapika, his golden rings glowing with an eerie, divine light. The innocence that should have been in a ten-year-old's eyes was gone, replaced by a cold, predatory focus.

"Kurapika," Kyota said, his voice dropping to a low, guttural tone. "I remember their faces. I remember the way they smelled like smoke and death. I remember the way they laughed while our people screamed."

He clenched his fist, the golden aura flaring violently.

"They wanted our eyes because they think we're nothing but beautiful trophies," Kyota spat, his disgust palpable. "I will make them crawl. I will find every single member of that Troupe, and I will tear the hearts out of their chests. I won't stop until the Spiders are nothing but ash in the wind."

Kurapika stared at the younger boy. He saw the same fire in Kyota's eyes that was currently burning in his own soul, but Kyota's fire was different. It wasn't just grief; it was something ancient and terrifying.

"We'll do it together," Kurapika promised, his own eyes flashing to a brilliant, vengeful scarlet.

Kyota looked at the horizon. He could feel the Golden Rinnegan's power humming—the ability to shift gravity, to absorb the very essence of his enemies, to tear through the fabric of space. He knew he was no longer human in the way Kurapika was. He was something else. A predator born from the ashes of a massacre.

"No," Kyota thought, looking at his reflection one more time. "I won't just kill them. I'll consume them."

He felt the weight of his lifespan ticking away with every heartbeat of his golden eyes, but he didn't care. If he had to burn his entire life to see the Troupe suffer, he would strike the match without hesitation.

The abilities of Kyota's Rinnegan are:-

Nen Absorption & Amplification: He can absorb any ninjutsu with one hand and expel it from the other, significantly multiplying its strength and scale but to do this he needs insane Nen capacity. For example if the technique used on him by the enemy costed the enemy 10 units of nen then the same technique Kyota amplified to 10× would cost him 100 units of nen.

Chakra Pill/fruit Creation: He can convert absorbed nen or even living targets into small red pills that, when consumed, restore his nen and grant him youth, permanent nen capacity increase and he can effectively steal the abilities of the nen user he used this technique on.

Physical Augmentation: The transformation that grants the golden eyes also drastically increases his size, muscle mass, and physical strength, allowing him to fight multiple Netero-level opponents simultaneously in terms of physical strength.

Black Receivers: He can manifest black nen rods to impale and restrain opponents, similar to other Rinnegan users. But unlike like in Boruto, this version makes the opponent forcefully go on zetsu.

Fate Perception: The user can see or predict the glimpses of a person's future or fate through his eyes.

Space-Time Ninjutsu: His eyes allow him to open portals and travel between different dimensions like in the anime Boruto.

Deva Path (Gravity): He can use a technique similar to Shinra Tensei (Almighty Push) to deflect objects and people. He also uses a variant of Banshō Ten'in (Universal Pull) to pull objects and people toward him.

Asura/Human/Animal Paths: He can never use mechanical body parts, extracting souls, or using standard Rinnegan animal summons. His elemental creatures (like the Golem) are nature transformations fueled by absorbed nen, not Animal Path summons

Limitations:-

Zetsu cause the eyes to go off, which means his eyes sockets would be empty without his nen supporting it.

Every application causes 1 day of lifespan from the user for example if he amplified a technique to us 2× form it causes him to use 2 day of his lifespan.

He can only make chakra fruit of a person who has significantly less nen reserves than himself. For example if he is at the level of Gido and tried to make a fruit of netero. He must make netero use aura and be defeated like when he was fighting against meruem only then could he create chakra pill/ fruit of netero. And ordinary humans (people with no nen) would only increase his lifespan.

He can only see fate of others he can't use this ability on himself.

He can only use shinra tensei and bansho tenin on objects which he can physically lift but if he used amplification on shinra tensei or bansho tenin he can use the ability to lift things he physically cannot.

For creation of elemental creatures he has to eat a fruit made out of a nen user who has the element in that person's ability. For example if he ate Killua or Silva he can create an electricity based golem

For physical augmentation he has to sacrife lifespan according to the power he uses for 2× muscle mass for 10mins he should pay 10days of his life.
