Reva sighed as he looked at the shut down version of Cami.
She was currently standing there in that annoying pose where she was gesturing towards Myne, who was also just standing there shut down and offline as well. It was an interesting sight to behold after all. The two of them were just standing there, not moving as a result of an order he apparently gave them without being fully aware of their antics that were bothering him at the moment. An even bigger deal when he realized what the big deal was about this girl that Cami was raving on about.
"Seriously, of all the people that could have been found and brought here, it had to be one of the people from one of those families," Reva said, looking annoyed.
It was part of the never ending game that the actual rulers of this world placed upon the humans after all. They lost the real war between humans and robots after all. This was the reasoning why Reva wants to just be left alone within what remained of his domain as the Southern Guardian. Twelve families that were left with a unique role to play in this endless war game that was left by the world's real rulers for both humans and automatons to follow thereafter. Unsure as to how it was done, but those twelve families were somehow genetically altered down to the DNA that whenever one of them was roboticized, they would become servants of their respective Guardian, with each Guardian having three a piece. Once roboticized, that person would be loyal to their Guardian regardless of how they were as a human and would do everything in their power to help them take over the land their family ruled over.
Reva did not care for this, as he was not planning on leaving the area that he was currently in after all, but somehow one of them came to him, and it just had to be the most annoying one at that. There were South, Southeast, and Southwest Directors for him and all the other Guardians as well. The one who was Director that matched up with their Guardian the closest was said to be the one with the most influence among the Directors, since they also considered the weakest human territory. As they were the ones taken over the most by the Guardian of that direction, this was doubly the case in terms of the South, as both were seen as the weakest of their kind. The Southern Guardian is the weakest for the automaton and the Southern Kingdom that of the South for the human.
"The number of times I had to save someone from the Southern Kingdom from being roboticized was annoying," Reva said, sighing.
As he did not want the addition to his domain made when he became the Southern Guardian, as that was part of his plan. Prevent anyone from one of the ruling families from being roboticized into becoming a Director, as normally only one of them did so at a time. Then one of them always managed to get away to continue the bloodline amongst the humans. To have someone from that bloodline then rise up to retake the lands in the name of their family, as it was another endless cycle that was hardwired into this world.
"Always amazing how they managed to hardwire the rules and regulations of this world they created, not just into the automatons but even in the humans as well," Reva said.
The 'they' he was referring to were the original automatons known only as Robots that won the ancient human and robot war that took place and set up how this world of theirs currently worked. As the watch over from somewhere like Gods, as that's basically what they are to a degree after all. They did create this world that they are all living in, and Reva decided that if he could not break the cycle, then he would just live within his own niche of it. That even once two critical pieces were missing from the system. That being a Mecha Lord and a Southern Guardian, it still manages to function regardless. The game did not break; it merely adjusted to and adapted around the whole that now existed. Leaving Reva had that niche he wanted, as he was currently within that hole in the otherwise perfect system that the other six areas of the world (three for humans and three for automatons).
As Myne just stood there motionless and lifeless at the moment, just like how Cami was here. The two were frozen in their last action before getting what they took as an order to shut down from Reva. He noticed she was exceptionally tall for someone who looked around his and Cami's age, well, at least their human age. Reva lost track of how old he, Cami, or anyone else in this settlement was anymore. As they all looked and acted the same age, they were when they were first roboticized, but even that was ages ago for even the people of the once isolated village, like Page and Carter.
"Anyway, I need to know about your current family, as I can not have anyone from it still within whatever has become of your family's land," Reva said
As he could not do anything about Myne now that she had been turned into an automaton via being roboticized. There was no going back for her, even if he did not want her here. The problem would be if there was anyone from her family still alive and human, as they would eventually rise up against Reva to take him down. They would never stop until they do, and they would eventually realize that is what they have been hardwired to do. Sure, it would seem like they are doing it of their own free will, but that is the genius of the Robot's creation that is the current world. They had so that while everyone has hardwired roles into them, regardless of whether they are human or automaton. They still have free will, and that causes the method of how those roles are played out to vary every time. The end result is always according to the role, but the journey and process to get there is always something they decided on. The binary choice in this world, where you are either a human or an automaton, that role can change based on various factors and situations.
