Reva walked over to where Myne was still standing, her arms down and her hands clasped together in front of her. She was frozen in her current pose, looking worried, as she gazed at Reva. A rather tall girl, as she was taller than Cami and stood at a height that she was actually just as tall as he was. That was saying something since he was not the tallest guy he knew, but he was not considered average height either.
"Heard this happens sometimes, though, as they develop a trait to make them stick out from the crowd. Apparently, it helps in getting them roboticized if the chance ever happens," Reva said to himself.
As if they attract more attention than they do, it is more than likely that they will get targeted by automatons after all. Then, once they are, that is how they end up in the role of Director for their given area. A tired and true method that has been working for countless cycles, though Reva was interested in learning more about the world outside the remains of his own domain. It was not because he was interested in the world, but instead he was interested in how to stay out of it. If there was a member of her family still out there, then it was possible that they would eventually rise to power and come after him over and over again through the generations until one of them succeeds, regardless of how long it takes. Reva knows this because he has seen it himself as he plotted his plan to create the niche he has craved for himself within the system after countless cycles of learning how things worked. He wanted to know all the possible ways that he could get taken out, so that he could work to avoid those things from happening. This was how he came about settling for being the Southern Guardian since it was stated to be the weakest one, but also the one where member of the ruling family was easily captured and roboticized as well.
So Reva painstakingly ensured that no one during his time as the Southern hero got caught, and if they did, then he was on, immediately forgoing other things to ensure their safety. It also helped that he hid what he and Cami were truly capable of, which is why they were able to save them repeatedly, even though there were a few close calls as well.
'The weakest Guardian and the most prone ruling family to being roboticized,' Reva thought.
However, that was how it was when that was viewed as their weakness, but looking at it in another way, that was one of their greatest strength as well. As the Southern Guardian, because of their weakness, they were the ones with the greatest chances of survival for numerous cycles, while the ruling family was like a cockroach in that it was very hard to kill off. Just when you think you got them all, there is always one that manages to escape, and even going to the extreme of roboticizing everyone in the Southern Kingdom did not work. The only person not to get caught and roboticized would be a member of the ruling family, somehow, someway.
So Reva was going to be sure of this with Myne as he was going to check her systems for what it knew compared to what she knew. As an automaton, programming and personality were not the same. What the personality knew was not always what the programming knew, and Reva did not realize this, but the case was even greater for him and everyone who was roboticized through him and his method this time, including Page and Carter as well. It is the only ones that could invoke this on Reva, Carter, and Page, regardless of their own will, would be a Robot, as those would be the only ones above them, as everyone else was considered an equal.
"Activate with your personality off and state your purpose," Reva ordered only Myne.
"Affirmative....Southern Director Myne activated. Myne's purpose is to serve the Southern Guardian Reva as Myne looks to take over Myne's territory," she stated
"So your name is Myne than?" Reva said as he was properly introduced to him directly rather than indirectly, as she was before.
"Correct. Myne is awaiting further orders to carry out Myne's purpose," she states
Speaking about herself in the third person is a side effect of Reva's unique roboticization, as they have retained their sense of self rather than just becoming an automaton that merely acts like their old self when ordered. With their personality turned off, they reply like this as their name has actually become their automaton self's designation rather than what normally happens or should happen to everyone, even other Guardians and the Mecha Lord as well.
"State the status of your territory currently," Reva ordered
Myne then went on to explain just that, as her human self might be just a girl from an isolated village on the outskirts of what was once the Southern Kingdom. However, that was not what she was; she was roboticized, as, despite how long it had been, she was born into the bloodline of the one, the rightful rulers of the region after all. What her system retained was different from what she knew personally, as she stated everything that had happened to her family since they had fallen from power. Reva did not understand how it was possible, but also did not question why it was even truly possible either. It was something that was beyond even his understanding and programming, so it never crossed his mind to ask the correct question to lead him towards realizing this issue at all. After all, you can not get an answer to a question you never knew needed asking.
"So you really are the last member of your line, then," Reva asked.
"Affirmative. There are no others that can be added under Myne as all others are not available for processing," Myne states.
Kind of shocking him in the process, as he was not expecting this, as that family that was known for only surviving regardless of what happened to them now only had this single member left in the world. Though that just meant that Myne was the only one left now, and she was roboticized to be under him. Since there was no one left to come after him to reclaim their territory that was lost. As long as he just kept Myne at his side, serving him, then things can continue as they have been previously.
"Status on the other two Directors," Reva ordered
"Status unknown as the connection with them was broken," Myne states.
"Return to your shutdown state," Reva orders her.
"Affirmative," Myne replies
Returning to her previous pose, she shut down as Reva just does not want to deal with her or Cami at the moment. Just going to relax before having to deal with the two of them again. The role Reva merely allows Page to play is actually what Myne and the other two Directors would normally occupy. Seeing as Page did not work for him like everyone else(minus herself and two others), but with him.
