The Djinn floated around his head,
"The connection?" It asked.
Richard nodded,
"Think about it. According to the First Account of Set, the abyssal creature that happened to stumble onto earth said the Godtree consumed itself. We can draw the conclusion that was what destroyed the connection between the Godtree and the Abyssal Planes."
The Djinn scratched its head,
"Forgive me, Master Bane. I am not able to keep up."
Richard waved a hand,
"A tree, even if it isn't a real one, is connected. Every part of it links to the next. I believe the Earth was just like the planes of the abyss a long time ago. Or it could be the other way around. Then something happened. The crown of Godtree began to rot. Why? We might never know."
"Once that happened, the branches and the root became separate from the abyss."
Eli nodded,
"But it is still speculation that the Yesod is what allows the abyssal creatures to enter the earth."
Richard grinned and snapped his fingers,
"But they can't."
