Chapter 262 New Experiences
Aleshia considered Rebel's suggestion and allowed it, but gave a suggestion. "I think that's a good idea, but before you start teaching the kids, you should sit in on some of my lessons first. This way, you can adjust and get used to using the new tools."
Rebel looked intrigued by Aleshia's mention of new things. "Oh? Is there something new? What is it?"
"I'll keep it a surprise until you see it for yourself. I need to start preparing," Aleshia said, then left the room. After discussing the details with Lucia, Aleshia began visualizing how the class would proceed and started organizing everything, starting with erasing the scribbles and previous notes on the board.
Daniel helped Rebel into the classroom and settled her in a seat before leaving. Once she was comfortable, her gaze landed on the board Aleshia was fiddling with, and she watched, mesmerized, as Aleshia wiped the board clean.
"These boards are different from the ones I saw a teacher using before," Rebel remarked. "I think I remember someone referring to this type of board as a blackboard. So, this must be one of those, but it also incorporates the use of magic, right?"
Aleshia glanced back and replied, "Yeah, that sounds about right," her tone unsure, but Aleshia congratulated her keen observation. "Good job for noticing!"
Rebel looked pleased with her correct guess and recalled, "I think I remember the teacher I peeked in on using a small stick to write on the blackboard. Is that what you use to leave marks on blackboards, but I don't see anything resembling that?"
Aleshia saw an opportunity to impress Rebel. She coordinated with Lucia to conjure the board and crystal stylus for her. "Yeah, that's right. I want to show you something. Can you look at the table in front of you?" Aleshia asked.
"Sure?" Rebel said, her brow furrowed as she stared at the table. Suddenly, something began to emerge from its surface, catching Rebel off guard. After a moment, Rebel's confusion grew as nothing else seemed to happen. "Is something else supposed to happen?" she asked.
"Yeah, can you pick up that stylus and scratch it on the board that appeared. But be gentle with it," Aleshia encouraged.
"Alright." Rebel picked up the stylus and followed her instructions, surprised at the clear marks it made. "This is certainly interesting," she said.
Aleshia then asked Lucia to display the scribbles on the big board, and Lucia agreed. "Rebel, can you look up at the big board behind me?" Aleshia said.
When Rebel looked up, she saw the same marks she had made now displayed on the big board. She glanced back down to check her scribbles and noticed they were identical. "Did you copy my marks?" Rebel asked.
"In a way, yes. Watch this," Aleshia replied. She drew a circle on the board, and Lucia mirrored it on Rebel's board.
